Chapter 6



Castiel's anger flared as he turned to face Niamh.

Niamh stood up and crossed her arms, looking right back at him.

She knew that divorcing Castiel on this day was no longer feasible. However, Macy would be kidnapped the next day, and she had to ensure he was with her to avoid being framed for the crime

""You're quite something." Castiel couldn't believe she would threaten him.

"Likewise." Niamh retorted.

Just then, Castiel's phone rang. He answered it and immediately began to leave. "I have a business trip to Havenport this afternoon. I'll be gone for about three days.

It might be good to leave for a few days. He hoped that during his time away, she could calm down, and when he returned, she wouldn't bring up that infuriating matter again.

Niamh finally looked up at him, her eyes shimmering as she gracefully brushed her long hair aside. Her movement was so elegant that it was breathtaking.

Castiel's breath hitched, and he felt his body tensing. Even after all these years, he still couldn't

resist her.

Unaware of what was going through Castiel's mind, Niamh remembered that in her past life, he had also left for a business trip that same afternoon.

And it was after this that he had received news of Macy's kidnapping, rushing back in a panic.

"Actually," Niamh said, "Billie is free this afternoon. It might be a good time to discuss legal matters with Ms. Duncan."

She mustn't let him leave.

Castiel fumed. "Niamh, you've never acted this unreasonable before!"

"Is that so? Or do you only remember how you used to act?"

At the same time, Castiel realized she was confronting him over the affair which she had never questioned him about. He had assumed she trusted him, but now she was demanding a divorce. "You finally asked." The trust between them, he realized, was built on his own misconceptions. Niamh remained silent, knowing there was no point in arguing further.

Castiel tried to explain, "It's not as the rumors say. I'm not involved with her in that way.".

"I don't care about your relationship with her right now. Either we get a divorce today, or you stay here and think about it."

Castiel's fists clenched in frustration. He stared at her and didn't want to say more. Niamh had always been a challenge to calm when she was upset, and now she needed space to think. Chapter 6

Niamh's resolve was unwavering. No matter what, Castiel could not leave the house. But to her utter frustration, the moment she stepped away to use the bathroom, Castiel was gone!
