Chapter 37
Upon hearing Sienna's words, the iciness in Castiel's eyes gradually disappeared.Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
However, the same couldn't be said for Renee. This was a big matter, and it had been bugging her for a long time. If she didn't vent it out, it would only make her feel worse. "Naomi will be coming back on the 25th. Quickly divorce Niamh and cut ties with her," she said sharply.
She didn't like Niamh at all. However, Macy was now crippled, so she wasn't any better than Niamh.
Of course, Niamh had caused many troubles for the Jamison family in these few months. Hence, Renee wouldn't tolerate her anymore.
When Castiel and Sienna heard that Naomi Lawson was coming back, a dark look briefly crossed their eyes.
In the past, Castiel would've been harsh, but this time, he only managed to say, "Get some rest." "Castiel!" Renee's sharp voice rang out just as he turned to leave.
"I may not like Niamh, but if you're going to find a woman, shouldn't you at least pick someone better than her? They're just getting worse and worse-what kind of taste do you have?"
If even Niamh wasn't good enough for him, Macy certainly wasn't up to par, either.
The more Renee thought about it, the angrier she became. She was unable to comprehend how she ended up with a son like Castiel.
As she finished her words, Castiel's tall, elegant figure exuded a cold air. Without looking back, he strode away, leaving Renee even more infuriated,
Sienna stepped forward to calm her. "Mom, the doctor said you shouldn't get upset."
"I know I shouldn't, but just look at the way he behaves!"
Sienna quickly added, "Alright, alright, but Niamh's been causing so much trouble lately. He's probably just stressed!"
Mentioning Niamh only made things worse; Renee became even more infuriated.
"He's still hung up on that woman! What's there to hold on to?" Renee fumed, especially since it was Niamh who initiated the divorce.
Months of drama, yet they were still involved with each other. Renee Increasingly couldn't understand her son.
On one hand, he couldn't let go of Niamh, and on the other, he was involved with someone completely unsuitable. What kind of person had she raised?
She used to think Niamh wasn't good enough for Castiel, but now, she didn't even like the way her son was acting.
Back when rumors first broke about his new relationship, she'd had a few stern words with Castiel
Before he divorced Niamh, she had been firmly against him fooling around outside of his marriage.
But now? What kind of mess had this turned into?
Macy was wheeled into the hospital room, and Castiel soon arrived. Lucian stayed outside, leaving just Castiel and Macy alone in the room.
Macy fumbled, trying to reach for something, but ended up knocking over a cup on the cabinet. The sound as the cup crashed on the floor was sharp, making anyone feel pitiful toward her. Castiel's normally cold expression softened as he stood up and walked over. "What do you need? I'll get it for you.
"I'd like some water," Macy replied softly.
"Alright," Castiel answered.
The cup had shattered, so Castiel grabbed a disposable one and poured Macy a cup of warm
water.
"Be careful," he said, his voice gentle as he handed it to her.
Macy took the cup, downing it quickly, clearly showing how tense she was.
Castiel watched her closely, his mind turning before he finally spoke. "Don't go to that room anymore," he said, referring to Renee
As it was his own mother, Castiel understood all too well what kind of person Renee was. She had never approved of Niamh, but regardless, Niamh was still his wife.
For a woman tied to rumors with him to visit Renee, it was no surprise Macy would receive a cold welcome.
