After we left the airport, I put a call through to Nina, and asked for the address of the place I’ll be staying, which she gave me. Did I forgot to tell you? Nina already took care of my accommodation, even before I left Paris, that’s why she’s my sweet girl. She always try as much as to give me the best.

My gaze was out of the window, as I kept looking at the change that took place in Chicago, these past years that I’ve last been here. So many times have really changed, and so many buildings, has been demolished and built into a company. Letting out a sigh, I finally took my gaze away from the road, and focused my attention on my phone, as I pressed it, like my life depended on it.

I didn’t know how many minutes or hours we’ve spent on the road, as my attention was all on the phone, but I was forced to look around, as the car screeched to an abrupt halt, and raising my gaze to take a look at the environment, I was welcomed with a big mansion.

“We’re here ma’am.” Henry’s voice came on, and that was when I realized that he already opened the door for me.

Giving one more look, I stepped out of the car, and waited for him to get my bags, before I go to my house. After he got the bags, we sauntered towards the description, which Nina gave me, and in a couple of minutes, we were able to locate the place.

“Finally.” I breathed out, as I looked around the door, eye searching the key, and finally, I found them. Grabbing the key from where it was hanging, I inserted it into thw key whole, before twisting it to the left side, and the door opened. I peeked inside the house, and was welcomed with a spacious living room, with everything arranged neatly, they were all in perfect shape. I finally opened the door and walked in slowly, making sure to be careful as much as I can. Who know, someone might just be hiding inside here.

Stepping into the living room, I got a better view of everything, as I found that it was already arranged to my taste, everything was in place, just the way I would’ve arranged them. Nina is really a sweetheart, what would I have done without her? I slumped on the couch tiredly, as soon as I stepped in, and I felt so relaxed, the couch was very soft, and comfortable to sit or sleep on.

“Ma’am, you know you have to start unpacking already? You’re having an appointment with Apple Graphic company by 3pm, and you still need to be ready for the photo shooting for the swimming ad tomorrow.” Henry reminded.Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

Realization dawned on me, and I just couldn’t help, but sighed deeply, before removing my heels and throwing it to God knows where, before standing up on my feet, and walking towards one out of the two available rooms.

I pushed the door opened, and peeked inside, before walking in fully. The room didn’t turn out that wide, but it’s really beautiful, and a place for stay. Stepping into the room, I slumped tiredly on the queen sized bed, feeling the urge to sleep, but I fought it back, knowing the kind of bad sleeper I can be. If I ever allowed myself fall asleep in this terrible situation, then I would have myself to be blamed for not meeting up with the appointment.

Gathering all my strength, I got off the bed, and stripped out of my clothes, leaving only pant and bra on me, before I walked inside the beautiful bathroom, which had everything I’ll be needing in the place. Though the bathroom isn’t that big, but it’s really breathtaking.

Stepping into the bathroom, I removed the remaining fabrics on my body, before getting under the shower, and I turned it on, as I let the cool water coming from it, hit every part of my body, relaxing my tired and tensed muscles. Heaven knows that all I needed is just a cold bath.

I spent almost forever in the bathroom, before I turned off the shower, then grabbed my towel and wrapped it around my chest, before walking out of the room. Stepping into the room, I was surprised to see that my clothes were already arranged neatly in my transparent closet, and a corporate dress, was laying on the bed, with a pair of blue heeled shoes, laying neatly at the side of the bed. Henry is really a wonderful man, he’s doing the work of both manager and that of the personal assistant. He had always been there for me, and treated me really well, in these past years that I’ve known him.

My eyes darted to the small clock, standing on the bedside table, and picking it up, I checked the time.

“I still have up to an hour and a half.” I mumbled, then dropped the call, before going to sit before the mirror. Can’t believe I’m going to start work immediately, not even a day off. Thirty minutes later, I was done applying lotion on my body, and applying a little make up, before I finally grabbed the corporate dress of blue and white shirt and a skirt, before wearing them.

“Beautiful.” I muttered, as I checked myself out in the mirror, and trust me, I looked like an angel. I may be skinny, but trust me, I always drive guys crazy. After I was done, I grabbed my handbag from the bed, before finally leaving the house, not after locking my door tightly. I can’t be so careless, I’m new to this place, and I don’t know if they actually have securities here, so leaving my door carelessly, was the last thing on my mind.

Stepping out the house to go to the parking lot, I stopped in my track, as I saw someone came out of the house next door. His face wasn’t so visible, as he had his hair, covering a part of his face, but even so, I didn’t need no one to tell me the guy was super handsome.

I stood lost in world of fantasy, as I prayed silently for him to show his face to me, and as he finally tilted his head to look at me, I froze at the sight of him…
