Billionaire’s second wife

Chapter 38: Bad intentions

“Lily can easily provoke anyone without fear.” Dante suddenly remarked about his sister: “Alden is rarely rude to her. Yet today Alden looks like a different person.”

Cara looked at Dante incredulously. What he said honestly Cara didn’t care at all.

“If that’s not rude, what is it called?” Dante asked, trying to distract Cara’s gaze.

“I do not know.” Cara casually replied.

Dante suddenly burst out laughing, making Cara feel like she was being silly. Is she behaving or acting silly? Cara doesn’t know either. The only thing Cara can do is to be quiet and pretend not to understand so that Dante can stop, or see Cara is not interested and say goodbye.

Contrary to Cara’s wishes. Taking the opportunity to be alone with Cara, Dante took the initiative to approach her. He reached out and put it on Cara’s back, rubbing it gently. The action seemed normal, but it was unusual for Cara’s assessment of Dante.

Is this overt harassment? Cara shivered briefly at the attribution.

Didn’t want to give Dante the chance to do what he liked. Cara pretended to scratch her head and purposely moved away from Dante’s hand as she inched the wheelchair forward a little.

“You’re so beautiful. I’ve never seen a girl as beautiful as you.” Before Cara’s tight defense. Dante did not waver, continuing his flirtation with great enthusiasm.

Dante’s voice was full of flattery, his words deceitful. Cara just wanted to ridicule and despise. Absolutely no trust.

“Thank you for the compliment. But it looks like you’re exaggerating.” Cara humbly replied, then pretended to take more cake to eat to reduce embarrassment. And Dante still wouldn’t take his eyes off her.

“I mean it honestly.” Dante raised his voice in affirmation. He wants to win Cara’s trust without any means, only lack of swearing.

“Yes, I appreciate it.”

Cara knew what kind of person Dante was, so instead of getting involved, she forced a smile to get it over with.

It was exhausting to deal with Dante. Cara secretly wished someone would show up and save her. Gavin will always be there in time, chasing Dante back so Cara can rest. But today he went out with Mrs. Agatha. That’s why Cara doesn’t know who to ask or to rely on. Alden didn’t say he didn’t care about Cara. In Alden’s mind, Cara had some shady plot. Even though Gavin had run out of advice, stubborn Alden still believed in his logic.

“Cara. I love you.” Dante suddenly confessed, when he brought his face close to Cara’s ear. Cara felt a shiver as Danta took some of her hair and sniffed it.

Cara is about to put up with it. She wants to get out of this scene soon. But he also didn’t want to be rude to Dante. Dante has helped Cara a lot since she worked at the strip club. Now, what should Cara do? Cara’s heart rate was pounding erratically.

“Do you remember what I told you the day before your accident, Cara?”Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

Cara is well aware of that. Dante asked Cara to be his girlfriend. And yet, Cara even overheard Dante say it to another employee. Cara used to love to listen and thought of giving him a chance. Because Cara thinks Dante is a good person. But after what she saw a few days after the confession, she decided it was better to forget. Dante should be avoided. That day, after a late shift, Cara happened to witness Dante’s brutal torture of a girl. He beat the girl, stripped her clothes, and cursed badly. Cara looked at the unfortunate girl lying on the cold floor, naked, feeling bitter and terrified. Although the reason is not clear, through Dante’s behavior, Cara tells herself to keep her distance from Dante, because he is very dangerous. Who knows what happens to Cara if she gets involved with Dante? Honestly, every time Cara remembers that event, she feels chills and wants to vomit. Now she also wanted to vomit but had to hold on and swallow everything inside.

“Dante. Sorry. I don’t deserve you.” She shyly said: “There are many girls who deserve you more than me. Moreover, I only see you as a friend.”

Dante clenched his jaw, as Cara made another excuse to refuse. But he still managed to stay calm and smile.

“Cara, don’t worry. Let’s take the time to get to know each other.” Dante began his intention: “Some meeting, dating. We can see if that changes or not. What do you think?”

Cara once again could only force a smile to pass. She doesn’t want to openly and directly offend Dante, so she can’t be blunt and harsh with him. But she also couldn’t agree, so she wisely said:

“Now I need to focus on getting well soon. I don’t want to depend on Helen’s family for help forever. So, as you think, I think I need time.”

Dante was very angry after hearing this, but he knew he couldn’t be impatient lest he causes a disaster. So, he silently pretended to agree with Cara.

Embarrassment is now more awkward. Cara wanted to be alone. But persistent Dante didn’t like that. He still wants to annoy Cara, regardless of whether Cara is upset or not.

In another development. By this time, Alden was already in his room and Lily followed him into the room.

“Get out Lily, I want to rest. I know you well, your excuses are just tongue-in-cheek.”

Lily smirked.

“If you already know me so well, why run away from me? You know how good I am, better than Emma, especially in bed.”

Lily approached and hugged Alden from behind, her hand constantly caressing Alden’s chest and then moving down to his stomach.

“What happened between us was a mistake. I was drunk and you took advantage of me.” Alden abruptly turned around, standing in front of the girl, before she touched Alden’s body where he shouldn’t: “Learn this Lily, it’s never going to happen between the two of us.”

Lily smiled, a little disappointed. And then her voice was sharp, questioning Alden. “Am I a whore like Emma?”

“What?” Alden did not understand, before that question he had a slightly annoyed attitude.

“Emma is a whore.” Lily loudly affirmed: “But you do it with her with great joy. While I am someone who genuinely cares and loves you. I give everything to you without a word of complaint. But you didn’t pay any attention to me.”

“Stop talking nonsense,” Alden asked irritably. He didn’t want to hear about Emma, nor did he want to hear about Lily.

“What I say is not bullshit.” Lily exclaimed, vehemently protesting: “It’s true, you can’t deny it.”

Seeing Alden silent, not knowing what to say, Lily smiled and carried out her dark intentions.
