Chapter 48
“‘Coldly,’ he murmured.Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.
“Call for another one,” he muttered in her ear, his cool and attractive voice ringing in her ears with a hint of sullenness.
Despite the fact that he had been waiting for her for days, she acted in a submissive and dominant manner that he was unfamiliar with.
Jeorge Milton lowered his body even further; and he pushed her back against the elevator wall, making Ava Lins feel suffocated by his invasive glare.
She was scared of being seen by her coworkers as the elevator on the 13th level was about to open, so she could only murmur, “Please don’t act like this.”
“This is the firm.”
“It’s not good if others see it, Jeorge Milton, let go of me,”Ava said, feeling it was a waste of words to speak to someone like him who didn’t care about other people’s thoughts.
The door of the elevator was ready to open…
Jeorge Milton’s hand pushed on the button to shut the door at that point, then pressed on the button on the top level.
She wanted to flee when he released her hand…
His response was unexpectedly quicker than hers: he seized her hand, yanked her back, and smashed against the elevator wall.
As the elevator wall slammed into Ava’s back, she scowled slightly.
His grip on her waist tightened even further, making it hard for her to go…
When their gazes met, he exuded an overpowering heat, while she exuded a feeling of stubbornness and helplessness.
As they watched the elevator travel up and down, no one ventured to enter.
Ava was lost in contemplation; she must have been the focus of attention by now, and it was impossible to predict how intense the scenario would be given everyone’s vivid imagination.
“Why didn’t you get back to me after I sent you a message? Why didn’t you pick up the phone and call me?! ”
However, as soon as he opened his lips, all of his rage dissipated, and he seemed to be whining about why she didn’t pick up the phone.
He groaned and drew her into his hug, “Do you realize how much I’ll miss you, Ava?”
“I simply want to see you, hear your voice, no matter how enraged you are, no matter how obscene your comments are, I just want to see you.”
He whispered quietly, and the power of his deep voice seemed to vanish.
She was in a shock.
However, she had no option but to reject it, and ripples emerged in her previously calm heart at hearing these soothing words.
Sweet words are addicting and poisonous…
Although the woman shouted that she didn’t believe him, her ears did.
She was taken aback; why is it that this relationship begins with taking advantage of benefits?
She let him draw her inside his office when the elevator reached the level of his office.
The receptionist was astonished to find the two of them holding hands as she approached the office door; she gazed blankly for a long time without saying anything, but before she could respond, she heard Jeorge Milton said, “Don’t allow anybody else in.”
The secretary hastily said, “Yes!”
The secretary’s expression revealed that he was crushed to the core when he saw that his beloved Vice President had brought Ava Lins in.
He placed her against the office door, the hot air kissing her neck and sending a tingling current through her sensitive body.
She’d never had such need and yearning before…
Her heart was racing as his hot and moist kiss fell inch by inch on her neck, causing her to raise her head.
He stayed close to her, with no space between them; she could immediately sense his burning hunger, his response to her…
Jeorge Milton became aware that his heart was racing at an alarming rate.
“Ava, do you realize how captivating you are…” said a deep and mesmerizing voice next her ear, gently nipping her earlobe.
She moved her head away and dodged his kiss just as she was going to get into a trance and his lips were about to meet hers.
Her breathing was a bit off, and her heart was racing.
“Don’t be like this, I…”Ava pushed him and murmured.”
But she couldn’t do anything about it. She felt torn and didn’t dare to look at him, so she bowed her head. “Please don’t push me, okay?”
“I’m not ready at this moment.”
She had never considered kissing a man with whom she had no previous relationship.
She did not love this guy, yet she was unable to stop him from professing his love and devotion. Ava’s heart was entwined, but her principles were in jeopardy, torturing her and making her unable to face herself or Jeorge Milton…
He peered down at her, his gaze drawn to the struggle on her face. At that time, his heart felt weak.
“Sweetheart, why are you thinking so much?” he said, gently brushing away the tears from the corner of her eyes.
He yanked her shirt off her shoulders and lowered her skirt to her thighs.
Jeorge Milton grinned cruelly as he helped her straighten up her clothing. His dark eyes were filled with resentment, and had he genuinely learnt to suffer and wait again and again since then?
Ava was terrified of his being too emotional and kind, so she didn’t remain with him for more than a second.
At the absolute least, she’d get the impression that a guy like him didn’t have a single genuine thing to say.
But she couldn’t tell any longer.
“I’m going out,”Ava said quietly as she bowed her head.
She didn’t say anything since she didn’t think he was going to stop her. She turned around and reached for the doorknob, intending to open it.
“Ava…”
Ava hesitated, quietly anticipating what he would say next as he called out to her.
For a long time, he didn’t say anything, and Ava couldn’t help but turn around and gaze at him. “It’s alright, go down. I’ll send you back after work,” he finally said.
Av akept her eyes downcast and remained silent. She swiftly opened the door and walked away, vanishing in front of his eyes.
Ava Lins could only pretend she didn’t know what was going on since there were constantly people talking at her side.
She wasn’t at her seat when Jeorge Milton arrived at the Design Department.
Ava was strolling alone along the street when she saw the gazes of the passing passersby turn towards her.
