“Drake… Did you invite Lily here?” Amelia held onto Drake Bell’s bit palm and asked, looking at his face cutely.

“Lily, what are you doing here?” Drake Bell asked. Because of the safe distance she maintained with Alexander Bell, neither of Drake Bell nor Amelia knew that she came here with Alexander. “People are invited here only by special visit.” Drake Bell added.

“I’m not here for neither of you, excuse me…” Lily said and turned in an attempt to catch up with Alexander Bell whom she thought would have gone far.

“Lily…” Drake Bell left Amelia and walked up to her.

“Please… not here. I’m here for an official assignment.” Lily said and wanted to walk away but Drake Bell grabbed her wrist, “listen to me, Lily. If you really want to be here, you could have told me and I could have get you a card. I already told you to feel free to tell me anything you want.”

Lily yanked her hands off his grip, “Please let me be.”

“Lily, you will get kicked out of here since you don’t have an invitation card. The clan’s guard will throw you out soon, I don’t want you to be embarrassed. Let me help,” Drake Bell offered.

“Let me see who would dare to kick her out of here!” Alexander Bell suddenly appeared and said. Without giving Drake a face, he said to Lily in a commanding tone, “follow me.”

At once, Lily and Alexander Bell walked away leaving Drake and Amelia stunned to the gut.

Amelia who had no idea whom Alexander Bell was immediately moved to Drake Bell and said, “oh my days, I can’t believe she’s already hooking up with another man.”

“Hooking up?” Drake Bell looked at her disgustingly and frowned. He didn’t like Amelia at all and only had to engage her because his mother was threatening him with her life. “Lily had been divorced for years, what’s wrong if she decides to move on with another man?” After Drake Bell said this, he walked away from her.

He only said that cause he didn’t want Amelia to carry on silly rumors about Lily. Seeing Lily with his uncle hurt his heart badly. It was like a sharp knife was being twisted into his heart. It was Lily that he wants badly. He messed up in the past, yes, but he was ready to make ammends. Can’t Lily forgive him? Is forgiving him really that hard? Why would she hook up with his uncle of all people.

He needs to find out what relationship subsists between his uncle and Lily. At once, he called Sarah, his female assistant to immediately find out and get back to him as soon as he can.

Amelia soon went to join Drake Bell where he sat. “Drake, thanks for bringing me here.” She said gleefully but Drake’s face was gloomy and devoid of the slightest happiness.

Amelia noticed it and felt bad, she traced Drake’s face and saw that he was looking at Lily and Alexander who was greeting some very important family members.

Lily was angry. Did Drake Bell still has feelings for Lily? They have been divorced for years yet he still has feelings for her. Looking at Drake Bell’s face, she could tell that he was badly longing for Lily in his heart.

She had tried to make it look like it was Lily who pushed his mother off the stairs, she had expected Drake to be angry and punish Lily for what happened to his mom but to her surprise, Drake Bell didn’t even do anything to Lily. Did he even love her more than his mom? Thinking about this angered Amelia to the gut.

She can’t give up now. She had been longing hard in the past seven years that she had returned to win his heart over but it was impossible. She could remember when Drake Bell and her were dating at their young age, Drake Bell loved her with passion and would do everything for her but seems distance and time changed a lot. Cause she had been abroad for the past twelve years. She schooled abroad and even work some years abroad before coming back to New York city purposely because of Drake Bell.

“Drake Bell, if I can’t have you, no one else can. I have come too far to loose you!” Lily said to herself determinedly.

Whereas, after Lily and Alexander were done greeting, they also went to sit at the front seats. The front seats were reserved for members of the clan who contributed the most to Lord Bell’s birthday. Drake Bell and Lily were also on this table of course.

All of a sudden, Lily said to Drake, “Drake, I can’t find my necklace.”

Drake looked at her and said casually, “you’ll get another one?” Afterall, how much is necklace to a man like him?”

“It was the one you got for me when we were young. It means everything to me. Now that I think about it, I think if fell from my neck while we were speaking with Lily.”

“How can necklace fall from your neck?” It doesn’t make sense to Drake Bell. Necklace were supposed to be firm on someone’s neck.

“I guess I didn’t fix it well…”

“I’ll tell my men to find it for you,” Drake Bell said.

Amelia looked at the table that Alexander Bell and Lily sat and said, “I already told one of your bodyguards to start searching for me so don’t bother.”

“Okay.” Drake Bell said and glanced at Lily again. Lily looked very stunning and amazing to him. He badly wished that it was Lily who was sitting beside him. How beautiful would that be?

“Ma’am, we are looking for Miss. Amelia’s necklace, permit me to check your bag,” the bodyguard that Amelia had sent said to Lily. Alexander Bell was busy having a serious conversation on phone that he didn’t pay the bodyguard talking to Lily any attention.

“Is that how you’ve been checking everyone’s bag?” Lily asked.

“Of course,” the bodyguards lied. He hadn’t even checked anyone’s bag. After receiving a text from Amelia, he immediately went straight to Lily’s table.

Lily felt like it was absurd but maybe that’s the rule here. So she permitted the bodyguard to check her bag. The bodyguard dipped his hand inside her bag, he already had Amelia’s necklace in his hand so when he put his hand there, he dropped it and picked it again.

Once he brought it out, he screamed, “Miss… You stole miss. Amelia’s necklace. How shameful of you.”

That got everyone’s attention including Drake. Everyone had their face on Lily.

“Isn’t that Mr. Alexander’s new secretary? How shameful of her!” Someone rumored.

Drake squinted his eyes even as he thought deeply. Why would Lily steal Amelia’s necklace? What for? He had given her the privilege to ask him anything? He didn’t know what to think, Lily had been away from him for the past five years so he didn’t know what had changed about her.

“What sort of a false accusations is this? You came to me and said you want to check my bag because one Amelia lost her necklace. I asked if that was how you have been checking other people’s bag and your reply was a ‘yes.’ This was why I allowed you to check my bag only for you to bring out a necklace that was never in my bag.” In the face of the false accusation, Lily was still bold but a part of her was still worried as she didn’t know how to vindicate herself from her this set up.
