Billionaire’s Missing Darling

Chapter 5

Chapter 5

After listening to Maddie’s words, Amelia quickly invited an etiquette teacher over.

Because she had to train Olivia in etiquette, she specifically hired the industry’s most famous Miss Linda Foster.

Linda and Olivia were about the same age. She came from a deeply rooted family, but unfortunately, due to the incompetence of the descendants, the family business could not be sustained and declined by the time it reached Linda’s generation.

However, Linda came from a noble background and possessed a profound heritage. In terms of etiquette, she surpassed many young ladies from prestigious families.

Moreover, she had an exceptional reputation in this industry and was highly skilled in her teaching methods. Many newly wealthy families had even hired her to instruct their daughters in etiquette.

Amelia spared no expense to hire Linda and even utilized various connections.

After all, Linda was not easily hired. Those who hired her as an etiquette. teacher had to wait until the year after next.

Amelia took great care of her newly reunited daughter, which was witnessed by all of the Taylor family’s servants.

They were whispering in private, gossiping among themselves.

“Indeed, she is the biological child.

“Now that the real lady is back, I wonder what will happen to the foster lady?”

Upon hearing this, Amelia felt concerned that Emma would overthink. She specifically went to console her, saying, “Don’t worry, Emma. You will always be my daughter.”

“I know. Mommy loves me the most!” Emma nestled sweetly in Amelia’s arms and playfully shared a few anecdotes to make Amelia happy.

However, the smile immediately disappeared from her face as soon as Amelia left.

After sitting quietly in the room for a moment, she received a phone call.

Glancing at the familiar number on her phone, Emma answered naturally, “Mom, didn’t I tell you not to call me when I’m at the Taylor family?”

The caller on the phone was none other than the biological mother of Emma, Evelyn Brooks.

Emma was not an orphan brought home by Samual from the orphanage but Samual’s illegitimate daughter with his mistress, Evelyn.

“I was just worried about you,” Evelyn said. “I heard that Amelia values. the daughter she has found very much and even asked Linda for guidance on her etiquette.”

Upon hearing this, Emma furrowed her brows and asked, “Where did you hear this information?”

“Humph.” Evelyn expressed her displeasure. “If it weren’t for my resourcefulness and timely information, you wouldn’t have told me at all.”

Emma was getting somewhat impatient. “Please don’t cause me any more trouble. If it weren’t for you finding someone to bully Olivia, Grandpa wouldn’t have given her shares. I’m not asking for your help. I just hope you don’t cause me any more trouble, okay?”

Evelyn replied in a low voice, “I’m sorry for having caused trouble for you.”

Emma sighed and raised her hand to rub her sore temples. Life in the Taylor family had become increasingly difficult, especially with her birth mother causing constant trouble. If it weren’t for her father helping to cover up the incident and prevent it from spreading, not only would her reputation have been ruined, but even her marriage with the Turner family would have been jeopardized.

Who would want to marry a cruel and vicious wife?

“By the way,” Evelyn reminded her, “you should be careful of Olivia. Amelia has already hired Linda. If Olivia is too impressive during the dinner, she will overshadow you. You should think of a way to prevent Linda from teaching her etiquette.”

“Humph.” Emma couldn’t help but laugh, saying, “Do you think that etiquette can be learned in just half a month of training? The elegance of a lady comes from a combination of inner cultivation and physical conditioning. It is something that is intrinsic. Those 18 years that Olivia missed can never be regained. She cannot possibly have the chance to surpass me. If she wants to learn etiquette for a few days, let her learn.”

Evelyn had confidence in her daughter, but she still had some concerns. She said with somewhat regret, “I should have just sold her into a remote village. Who would have thought that she could still be found after all these years?”

“Shut up!” Emma couldn’t control her outburst and warned, “Don’t ever bring up this matter again. You can’t leak a single word. Dad can never find out that you intentionally made her lost.”

“I understand. I am not that foolish,” muttered Evelyn.

Emma knew Evelyn too well. Hearing those words, she understood that Evelyn hadn’t taken them to heart.

She closed her eyes and let out a sigh. Finally, she decided to meet Evelyn personally and made sure Evelyn did not let slip any information.

Back then, Samuel took little Olivia to meet with Evelyn. Due to an unexpected emergency at work, he left little Olivia under the care of Evelyn. However, Evelyn intentionally lost Olivia and then falsely informed Samuel that Olivia had gone missing.

This incident happened 18 years ago, and everyone believed that it was Samuel who accidentally lost Olivia while taking her out to play.

No one knew that Evelyn had intentionally gotten rid of Olivia.

Although Samuel doted on Emma, and his affection for Olivia was scarce, Olivia was his own flesh and blood. As Evelyn had grown older in recent years, Samuel’s feelings toward her diminished. If he were to discover that Evelyn intentionally lost Olivia, he would definitely not take it lightly.

By then, not only would Evelyn have a bad ending, but it might also. cause trouble for Emma, and Amelia might know the truth.

Even if Amelia loved Emma deeply, it was highly unlikely that she would be able to accept the fact that Emma was the daughter of a mistress.

After successfully hiring Linda, Amelia went to find Olivia, hoping to improve their relationship with this opportunity.

Due to the previous unpleasant incident with Olivia, Amelia had been at a loss on how to break the ice with her. Additionally, preparations for the dinner party occupied her time, and Emma had been in a poor mood and constantly seeking her attention. As a result, Amelia had not had the chance to reach out to Olivia.

Several days had passed before Amelia finally knocked on Olivia’s door.

Adjusting her breath, Amelia raised her hand and gently knocked three times, making a clicking sound.

She knocked a few more times but still received no response.

“What’s going on?” she said inwardly. Her eyebrows furrowed as she quickly summoned a servant and inquired, “Where is Olivia?”

This servant was specifically arranged to serve Olivia.

The servant glanced at the tightly closed door, recalled for a moment, and said, “Madam, on the second day of your return, Miss Olivia left and never returned.”

“What?” Amelia exclaimed in astonishment, feeling it unbelievable that Olivia had been absent from home these past few days. “Where did she go?”

The servant remained silent, unaware of where Olivia had gone.

Unable to extract information from the servant, Amelia went to Liam. “Olivia?” Liam, who was sipping his coffee, glanced at Amelia. “As a mother, you didn’t even notice when your daughter was not at home for several days.”

Amelia was somewhat embarrassed. In fact, her claim of being too busy to make time was just an excuse. The real reason was that she didn’t know how to face her daughter. Thus, she resorted to finding excuses to delay the inevitable.

“Liam… I…”

“That’s it.” Liam waved his hand to stop her. “I will call Olivia later and ask her to come back. She has experiments at college and is very busy.” “College?” Amelia was momentarily stunned and did not quite

understand. “Olivia is already 23 years old. Why is she still studying?” she said inwardly.

Liam glanced at her, his voice extremely chilling. “If only you would put in a little more effort toward Olivia, even if it was just half of what you do for Emma, you wouldn’t be completely clueless about everything.”
