Billionaire husband's pursuit for his wife

"What? Did you not hear what she just said?" Chelsea asked with shock.

Theo has a cold look in his eyes. He heard everything and he didn't find anything wrong with whatever Nina just said. Instead, he is angry that Chelsea tried to hurt Nina.

"I did. But which part of what my wife just said made you feel like you can man-handle her?" Theo asked evenly.

Chelsea is not understanding why Theo is acting strangely today. He never liked Nina to begin with. And after his mother slipped into a coma, he absolutely loathed her. Today he is behaving oddly, which made Chelsea uncomfortable.

"Theo, she insulted me in front of so many people. She is pretending to be innocent to fool you. And you are taking her side? Did you forget what she did to aunt Agatha? Did you forget how many times she tried to hurt me?" Chelsea tried to remind why he hates his wife so much.

Theo was a fool who believed what everyone else said. Nina was right. He was a blind fool. But not anymore. He would only believe in what he sees and feels is right. In this case, he doesn't feel like Nina is wrong.

"I advise you to not spread false rumours against my wife here. Nina is right. You don't have a right to speak about our private life. You are an outsider. Who gave you the right to discuss our married life in front of others? You are just my friend. But she is my life partner. You pushed her today out of anger. It's either you apologise or I will let your father speak with you about this" Theo spoke coldly, defending Nina for the first time in their one year of marriage.

Chelsea is stunned into speechlessness.

Nina is surprised. Her mouth agape while she looked at him as if he has suddenly sprouted two horns over his head.

Silas, Amber, Barbara were stunned as well. This is the first time they are watching Theo reprimand Chelsea. He always pampers her. But today, he is behaving oddly.

Chelsea has tears in her eyes.

"Theo, I am your best friend" she whispered, feeling angry, but looked pitiful to make Theo feel bad.

But Theo is firm in his decision.

"Exactly, you are my friend. And don't forget that she is my wife. I will support you when you are right. I used to think that you wouldn't do anything wrong untill I saw you push Nina. Despite making her point clear, my wife was still decent and elegant. But you reorted to physical harm. It's never acceptable" he pointed out.

Nina couldn't believe what she is hearing. She pinched herself hard to see if this a figment of her wild imagination. But when felt the sting, she winced and rubbed the spot. Previously he never used to call her as his wife. But today, he is announcing her status as Mrs. Morrison loudly and rather proudly too.

'Damn it, is this man drunk?' she wondered.

Ella on the other hand is almost on the verge of jumping with joy when Chelsea was shown her place by non other than Theodore Morrison.

She wanted to make you all lonely and at her mercy. She is a cunning bit...." Chelsea unleashed all the negativity she held for Nina all this time. Theo never saw this side of her. So he was both shocked and upset with her behaviour.

He knows that Nina is successfully in her own right and she doesn't need his money at all. She sacrificed her career after she married him and only concentrated on taking care of him. But he never understood that at that time. Now after learning how talented she is, he is both proud and guilty for treating her badly. Now he is determined to treat her right even though they are divorced. She deserves nothing but his respect.

"Enough Chelsea" he snapped at Chelsea and didn't let her finish what she was about to speak against Nina.

"One more word against Nina, then you will be very sorry" he threatened her with anger.

Nina is feeling as if she just stepped into an alternate universe. This Theo is sweet, exactly how she used to imagine him to be. But that was then and this is now. Now they are divorced and just pretending for the sake of Agatha. If not, then she wouldn't have bothered to explain anything to these self absorbed people. But still, she is enjoying Chelsea's misery.

Chelsea on the other hand looked hurt by Theo's cold attitude.

She looked at him as if he wronged her.

"Apologise, now" he demanded coldly.

Unable to rebuke, Chelsea grudgingly turned to face Nina.

"Sorry" she muttered with gritted teeth.

Nina snorted sarcastically.

"You don't look sincere in your apology. But I don't care any way. So it doesn't matter" she replied cooly.

Chelsea left after that, closely followed by Amber.

Silas and Barbara looked at eachother and they too left quietly.

The crowd dispersed after that.

"Nina, I saw someone I know. I will join you in a minute" with that excuse, Ella left Nina with Theo.

After everyone left, Nina pushed Theo's hands away from her waist and whirled to face him.

"Well Mr. Morrison, I already promised to help you in hiding about our divorce with Mom. So you don't have to do all of this for me. I would have managed it on my own" she spoke coldly. Even though she was satisfied to see Chelsea like that, she understood that he must have stepped in to help her Because he needs her help with Agatha.
