Beverly

Chapter 40

Beverly Carington

“Sorry… it’s a little bit messy.” Taylor said as she opened her current closet now.

“Oh it’s okay.” I smiled to her and she let me into her small closet.

“So you want to make a walk in closet right?”

“Yes, I want it to connect with the bathroom and then you can use the space where Chris put his work files here.” She pointed at a small room beside the closet. I put that on my note and started to measure the room.

“Wait… is that an engagement ring?” Taylor asked after I finished measuring her closet along with the file room.

“Yes.” I said I was a little bit shy.

“OMG congratulations! We welcome you to the marriage club.” She said and I chuckled. She hugged me and I can’t believe Taylor Hastington is this sweet.

“When?” She asked.

“Was it romantic?” She asked as she looked at me with those curious eyes.

“If you say… our dining room is a romantic place then yes.”

“Ugh! It doesn’t matter! Oh my gosh… I really love when someone got engaged.” She squealed.

“How’s marriage life? Is it quite scary?” I asked as we walked out from her closet.

“Well… marriage life is wonderful but it will be more bumpy than dating.” She said as we walked down the stairs.

“Really?”

“Yeah… we live together and then we start to learn more about each other. It’s fun actually but you know the first year was tough. For me, Christian is a rock head. Literally rock head… it’s hard to argue with him.”

“But you understand him now right?”

“Yes. So when we argue… I listen to all his lectures first and then when he’s done. He will hear mine.” She said chuckling.

“He wins? Or you?”

“Of course me but sometimes he doesn’t accept that so I just let him cool down by going out with my friends and then he will call me again.” She said and I chuckled.

“I’m a little bit afraid actually… since my parents are divorce.” I said truthfully as we sat down on the sofa in the living room.

“Beverly, everyone is different and trust me… a guy like Clyde won’t let you go that easily and you love him more than you know it. As long as you keep trusting him and accept him… there will be no problem. For example… I mean… no one is perfect even though people said Christian is but he has many flaws… trust me.”

“Really?”

“Oh yeah.” She nodded and she chuckled before continuing, “People see Christian as a perfect person but no he’s not. He’s far from perfect. He has a rock head… rock heart and rock in everything like his dad but you know he changes a lot after I tried to talk to him about things and he will do the same to me too.” She smiled and I nodded.

“Sometimes I feel like… I don’t deserve Clyde and his family. They’re perfect while I’m not.” I said as I looked down to the ground.

“No ones perfect, Beverly. That’s why we need other people in our lives and trust me… being with someone you love is fun and thrilling.” She winked and I chuckled.

“Thankyou, Taylor.”

“You’re welcome and oh… about the walk in closet… please I want it to be a little modern. I want the left side of the closet to have a big mirror.” She said and yes… back to work.

“Note that!” I said as I wrote it on my note.

“Hmm…”

“Do you need anything else?”Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.

“No.” She said after thinking again.

“Okay then… I will give you the update around next week or in 9 days. I will contact you again after that so you can see the design.” I said as I got up from my seat.

“Thank you, Beverly.” She said as she got up

“No… I’m the one who should thank you for this opportunity.”

“I hope you and Clyde will have a very fantastic wedding.” She said.

“Thank you so much.” I said and then she sent me off. I drove out from her house and decided to go to Starbucks. I need ideas to make the walk in closet design.

Suddenly my phone rang and I put it on speaker.

“Hello.”

“Babe… are you done with Taylor?” It’s Clyde… of course.

“Yeah… will go to Starbuck near my house to gather some ideas and work.”

“Oh okay… will go there.”

“Okay. See you!” I said and now… I’m concentrating to drive there while jamming to Youngblood by 5SOS.

I parked my car and got out as soon as I arrived. I walked into the Starbucks with all my laptop and papers. I put it on an empty table of 4 people and ordered a warm greentea latte because I feel like it.

“Hey beautiful!” I jumped when someone suddenly whispered into my ears.

“Clyde! You scared me!” I smacked his chest playfully and he chuckled. He kissed my cheek and put his arm around my waist.

“What did you order?”

“Green tea latte…”

“Hot?” He asked and I looked at him blinking a couple of times.

“You always drink hot green tea latte when you’re working.” He smirked.

“Go order…” I pushed him and he nodded. I got my green tea latte and walked to my table. I sipped a little and started to take my sketch papers out. I put all the measurement numbers on my sketch notes and started to make lines before designing.

“How was it?” He asked as he kissed the top of my head.

“It was good.” I turned to him and smiled.

“What does she want?”

“A modern walk in closet…” I said as I turned my head to my sketch book but suddenly a black big roll paper caught my eyes.

“What is that?” I asked Clyde as I turned my head to him.

“Why don’t you open it…” He gestured me to take it. I looked at him suspiciously.

“No… you open it for me.” I said because I’m quite scared when it comes to surprises like this.

“Beverly… just open it.” He said and I shook my head. He took it and then put it to my hand. I closed my eyes and opened it slowly.

“If there’s a spider in it… I will kick your balls!” I said it quickly and opened the whole paper. I opened up my left eye slowly and my eyes widened when I realised that it was.

“Who’s house is this?” It was a sketch of a beautiful small house.

“Ours.” Clyde said and my eyes widen. I turned to him and he smiled. I hugged him so tightly and can’t help but squealed loudly. Ugh! I don’t care if the whole Starbucks judge me as a weird girl… as long as I’m happy…

“Oh my god…” I said and I didn’t realize my tears come out from my eyes until Clyde wiped it.

“Do you like it?” He asked.

“Yes… I love it… Really really love it.” I said and hugged him again.

“Good because I already built it.”

“What?” I asked him disbelief.

“It’s on-going.” My eyes widen…

“I thought you only…”

“No… we’re going to get married and move there right away.” He smiled and then he gave me a peck on my lips.

“I love you, Clyde Dante.” I said as I caressed his cheek.

“Love you too… my tuna.”
