She knew he was very careful not to get her pregnant and that only meant one thing. He does not want to have any connection with her after their five-month deal.

“Red! I’m glad that you called. How are you there?” She happily greeted him as she answered his call.

“Nap, I’m fine here. How about you? I immediately missed the Philippines, especially you. I was trying to call my brother but he didn’t seem to pay attention to my call. Strange, even with just one ring before he answered immediately when I call, “he said in astonishment.

She then turned to Clayton who still had a very serious face.

“M-maybe he was just busy. When are you coming back here?” She asked eagerly.

“Well, if I go home there I won’t say it to surprise you,” He said jokingly.

She laughed as well. They talked for a few more minutes. She glanced at Clayton’s behavior, who kept on changing his position on his seat as if uneasy or bored or even mad?

“Okay, Red. Be careful always. Bye,” She said goodbye to the man.

When she hung up the phone Clayton then spoke.

“Do you still have feelings for my brother?” He was not smiling when he asked that.

“Huh?” She replied surprised.

“It’s just a yes or no question, Sam,” He said annoyed.

Was he jealous of Red?

She looked closely at the man’s face and she could clearly see his dark face. Instead of being scared of him, she seemed to want to laugh out loud with joy.

He must have seen the twinkle in her eyes and thought it was for Red.

“Let’s go home,” He suddenly stood up and headed for the car.

She kept smiling.

Does Clayton love her too? She immediately followed him while asking herself silently because of how he acted.

“Clay, we’re just friends. Don’t be mad anymore, please,” She held Clayton’s hand.

He stopped and faced her.

“Why would I get mad? You’re free to be with someone else once our deal is over, just not my brother,” He said and turned around to open the door for her.

She could not move from where she was standing. She was hurt again by his behavior.

Why did she hope anymore? He still doesn’t even want her for Red because she knows even he was good and kind to her, she will forever be out of their league.

“Get in,” He commanded.

She immediately get inside the car and did not speak again. They were quiet while on the road.

“I’m going straight home,” he didn’t look at her when he said that.

She did not move in her seat. If her connection is really only up to a contract, she should speed up her actions if she really wants to have a child with him. She had already stopped taking the pills without his knowledge.
