Chapter 261
Chapter 261
Luca’s POV
“I don’t think it’s only about this particular thing, it happens a lot with me when it comes to a lot of things
which I’d label as important in my head and… and sometimes, even things that are not all that
important, I’d just still find myself finding it really hard to settle on one option.” She trailed off and puffed
out a deep breath before continuing.
“And if I end up settling on a particular option, it would end up feeling like the complete wrong one or
the worst of the remaining options in my head.” She puffed out a slow breath as soon as she was done
and turned her head around to stare up at me, eyes squinting a little and head corking to the side in a
really adorable way.
“Is that normal?”
She asked after a few moments without glancing up at me, and before I could begin to speak, she
started to shake her head before pointing out in a small voice.“What am I saying? Of course it isn’t
normal, it’s the complete opposite of normal.”
I tightened my hold on her hand after a few moments when she had finished speaking, and was doing
nothing but dragging in deep breaths into her lungs the next moment.
It was obvious that this particular topic had been worrying her a lot, which was why she had probably
ended up saying more than she had wanted to at the start of the whole thing.
“Bunny?” I called out and waited until she had turned around to stare at me, before I continued.
“Don’t fret over it, alright?” I said to her in the next moment and watched as her eyes widened
confusingly at first.
“Uh, I shouldn’t?”
“Yes, bunny. Don’t fret over it one bit, it’s all going to be fine.” I continued, watched as she blinked up at
me after a fleeting moment without saying a thing.
“Let’s see, you want to give it a name, right?” I questioned and watched as she nodded her head
instantly.
“Yes, yes I do… but I can’t seem to settle on one, and I want to give it a really good name.” She
admitted and I breathed out a small chuckle as I started to nod my head at her.
“I got that already, bunny.” I informed her and watched as she grinned a little before averting her gaze.
We were already at the back of the house and I could already see the garden at the far end of this
particular part.
“The garden looks so beautiful.” Sofia started to say beside me and I glanced down at her in the next
moment.
“Wait until you see the other sides of the house.” I said to her with a small chuckle and watched as she
glanced up at me in the next moment.
“There are something else there?” She asked and I chuckled at her awed facial expression before
starting to nod my head at her in response.
“Of course, bunny. There is.” I confirmed with a nod of my head following suit.
“On wow, let’s hurry then.” She urged and started to move even faster in the next second. I still held
onto her and started scamming everywhere subtly to avoid being suddenly taken unaware by anybody
who might be watching us at this very moment.
“There’s a pool around here?” Sofia asked in a low voice as she stared wide eyed at the bed of blue
water a few feet away from where we were currently standing. I breathed out a response to her in the
next moment.
“Yes bunny. There is.” I said to her almost immediately and watched as she instantly turned around to
glance up at me.
“Oh my gosh, I had no idea,” She cried out while bouncing a little on the balls of her feet and I let go of
her hand before starting to chuckle at how cute she currently looked being all excited over something
like this.
“You can’t go into it though,” I informed her and watched as the excitement on her face slowly started to
shift, confusion mixing with the excitement at once.
“Oh.” She whispered and I nodded my head in the next moment,
“Why?” She demanded in the next moment.
“It’s for security reasons, it’s completely off limits.” I paused and reached for her face and tipped her
head upwards with a finger beneath her chin before continuing. “In fact, you can’t come to the back of
the house at all, unless I'm the one bringing you here myself…”
“Uh…” She made to speak but I shook my head before continuing, sparing a quick glance around for a
moment.
“Because it’s very dangerous and I don’t want anything to happen to you, which is why walking around This content © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
this side of the house is completely off limits, do you understand?” At this point, she appeared to be
almost sad but she nodded her head slowly at me, and in the next moment, her lower lip was
protruding in a cute little pout.
“O- okay.” She ended up whispering and I nodded my head at her in the next moment before moving a
strand of her hair away from her face to tuck it behind her ear.
“But-” She started to say before trailing off in the next moment and blinking up at me, probably thinking
I was going to prevent her from completing her sentence but I nodded my head at her and indicated
that she continued to speak.
“The pool, it looks so good to be just there by itself.” She admitted with a small shrug of her shoulders
and I couldn’t agree more because I saw exactly where she was coming from.
“I see your point, bunny. But then it’s still going to be here if someone gets shot and dies instantly just
because the person wanted to swim in here.” I explained to her and watched as her eyes widened
comically in the next moment.
“Oh.” She finally whispered and I nodded my head at her because I was sure that she had already
gotten my point.
“If you want to soak so bad, there’s a jacuzzi upstairs and it’s very big, and spacious.” I informed her
and watched as she perked up in excitement in the next moment.
“There is?” She asked in a low voice and I nodded my head at her instantly, feelimg a smile tug at the
side of my lips at how her excitement was making me happy in an unexplainable kind of way.
“Yes, bunny. There is.” I affirmed,
“I don’t know about that as well, how didn’t I know about that?” She cried out after a fleeting second
and I noticed that once again, she was bouncing on the balls of her feet. I patted her head a little before
dropping my hand to my side and then I started to speak.
“Matilda probably showed it to you and you’ve probably forgotten about it.” I suggested and waited as
she started to think for the first few seconds.
“I don’t remember but now I’m feeling mad that there’s a jacuzzi in the house all these while that I have
no idea of.” She whined with a cute, small scowl on her face and I chuckled a little before reaching out
and caressing her cheek a little.
“If this is how you look when you’re mad, then I must say that you’re very cute.”
She bursted out into a fit of goggles as my words sank into her head, a little bit of color flooding her
cheeks as she laughed.
“That’s the most corniest thing someone has ever said to me.” she admitted once she had stopped
laughing and I cracked a little smile before demanding. “It is?”
“Uhun, but it’s also cute as well.” She confessed, blinking up at me, the color starting to fade from her
cheeks.
“It’s definitely not as cute as you look right now.” I decided to add, because I had loved seeing her hurst
into a fit of giggles a moment ago, but this time, she was lifting her hands to cover her ears in
embarrassment as it started to darken with color,
“Oh my gosh, stop,” she whined with a small laugh and I reached down and flicked her nose a little
before turning my head around and glancing around for a moment.
“Wanna sit down, bunny?” I asked as I turned back to stare at her and I watched as she shrugged her
shoulders at first.
“Where would we be sitting?” She asked after a few moments. I slipped a glance around the whole
place once again before finally pointing at a spot that was located a few feet away from the swimming
pool.
“Oh, over there?” She asked as soon as she had noticed where it was that I was pointing at and I gave
her a nod of my head when she turned back around to glance at me.
We headed over to the small expense of space and sank down into the light looking grass. I settled
down comfortably and glanced around the whole place after a moment. There were guards scattered
around different spots at this side of the house, like it was in every part of the house to begin with, and I
just know that they were l watching Sofia and I.
