Chapter 259
Chapter 259
Luca’s POV
I mopped the wet piece of cloth against my hands as I tried to get the paint off it, somehow, Sofia and I
had ended up with paint on us, because I had asked her to paint something right in front of me after
we’ve been just sitting and discussing about nothing in particular for over an hour. And because I hadn’t
been able to sit still and let her be without being all over her, I had offered to help her choose colors
and hold it to her. One thing had started to lead together and along the line, paint got on my white shirt
and got more on Sofia’s cloth. I didn’t want to take a shower yet so I had just decided to wash it off here
in the bathroom downstairs while Sofia had said she wanted to take a shower and she had gone off to
do just that some minutes ago.
Today was turning out to be really more than I had even thought it was going to be which I was really
glad about. It didn’t matter that I saw her every damn day and also got to hold her each night. I was
already starting to miss her when we had literally been together some time ago before she had gone up
the stairs to take a shower.
I made my way out of the bathroom and started to make my way into the sitting room and I flipped into
one of the couches, throwing my head back against the headrest of the couch almost immediately. I
knew that no one had done the usual daily check around the whole house today because the ones who
usually do this didn’t come into the house today since I didn’t go to the office today. I brought my phone
out from my pocket and started to text a few people who had texted me, as my mind started to slowly
move around.
My mind started to move towards my little cousin who was still in the hospital, unfortunately for a lot of
us, she was still in a very deep coma and had in my mans her to move a fre more times, but hadn’t
been avid to come out of the coma like I had been hoping.
I puffed out a deep breath as I tried to get my head into a particular trail of thoughts. It was really tiring This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
and confusing when I think about a lot of things at once.
I was going to try to go to the hospital tomorrow to check up on her, and I was going to try to take
james along with me, because even if he wouldn’t still outrutytky admit it, it was still pretty obvious to
me that he was into her, and was still very much into her after what had happened to her.
I moved a little in my seat once again, as my mind started to move towards the phone call I had
answered back at the office yesterday’s afternoon who had turned out to be my baby brother and now
he was coming back home. I didn’t know if I was excited about it or dreaded about it. But one thing was
sure to me, and it was that I was worried about him, because it’s been a really long time since he was
last around here.
I allowed my eyes to slide close after a few moments as I gave my mind free reins to roam around,
enjoying how it felt like my mind was floating. The only thing that made me crack my eyes open was
the sound of someone coming into the sitting room and I cracked my eyes open and turned my head
around to steer at the doorway, watching as Sofia breathed out a small laugh as soon as our eyes
locked.
“I wanted to scare you the way you usually do to me.” She confessed with a small huff as she started to
make her way deeper into the room, a small bridge look on her face. I started to shake my head after a
fw seconds befute starting to speak.
“Oh, bunny… I do not scare easily to begin with.” I pointed out to her almost immediately and I watched
as she huffed out another small breath before starting to speak.
“I guess you’re right, I don’t know how I didn't think of that.” She pushed out as she climbed into the
spot on the couch beside me, lifting her legs up to insert them under her like a really cute mess. She
looked thoroughly cleaned up and once again, I found myself wanting to drag my lips over every inch of
her face in a very non sexual way. Her face was just so beautifully bare in a really kind of way.
“How are you feeling, bunny?” I asked after a few minutes has passed.
“I’m feeling pretty good, I guess.” She responded and I turned my head around to stare at her and she
smiled a little before pushing her hair out of her face towards the back of her ear.
“Are you hungry?” I asked after a few moments, watching as she started to shake her head in response
almost immediately.
“No, not really.”
“You’ve only had breakfast today, right?” I asked and I watched as she nodded her head once again.
“I don’t usually have a whole lot of lunch. On most days, I usually end up skipping lunch because I just
wouldn’t be in the mood for it.” She admitted.
“Is that a good thing?” I asked her after some time even though I wasn’t even one to talk because on
some days I could go the whole day with nothing but a cup of coffee inside of me and nothing else, but
then I don’t think she has to know that.
“I don’t think it’s that big a deal because the lunch isn’t that really important, the most important are the
breakfast and dinner and i always make sure to take in food inside of me by then.
“Just don’t unnecessarily starve yourself.” I ended up murmuring after a few seconds and I watched as
she sank her teeth into the side of her lip for a fleeting second and as soon as our eyes locked, she
was scrambling to stop biting instantly.
“You’ve not bitten on your bottom lip since the start of today like I asked you not to, have you?”
“Huh? No, of course not.” She responded almost immediately and I pinned her with a pointed look for a
few moments.
“That’s good then, that’s very good.” I said to her and after a few more minutes, we were both falling
into silence, a very comfortable one.
“Bunny?” I ended up calling out after a few moments and I watched as he lifted her head up from the
head rest of the couch to stare at me.
“Huh?”
“Do you want to do something? Anything?” I asked in the next second and I watched as a confused
look crossed her face.
“What do you mean?” She asked after a few moments.
“I mean, is there something you’d want to do? Something you’d want to do with me today seeing as it’s
just evening right now and not night, we could still end up doing something you want real quick before
the day comes to an end.”
“Oh.” She whispered in understanding and I nodded my head at her almost immediately, watching as a
thoughtful look crossed her face in the next moment.
“Uh, I honestly do not know…” She started to say in a small voice before trailing off as a knowing smile
broke out on her face.
“Oh, I know, I know, I have an idea.”
“What’s that, bunny?”
“I really hope you wouldn’t say ‘no’ though.” She added and I felt my gaze narrow at her the next
moment.
“Unless it’s if you want me to drive you somewhere really far, then I’m going to have to cancel and
reschedule for a different day…” I decided to add after a few seconds, because I was also using this
opportunity to relax today as well, and me starting to drive all of a sudden was just going to be a waste
of all the rest I’ve taken today because the stress the driving was going to take was going to drain the
whole thing.
“Oh, no, it doesn't involve us leaving the house with a car though.” She informed me and I watched her
for a few seconds before nodding my head at her, indicating for her to proceed.
“I was wondering if you’d be able to take me around the whole house?” She asked after a few beats
and I blinked once, definitely not seeing that coming. I also got confused at first and it was obvious in
my response.
“Around the whole house? I thought you've done this with Matilda when you recently got here?” I asked
slowly and watched as she started to shake her head.
