Chapter 12

**3rd POV**

The figure who strode in was none other than Omega May.

When Lady Emily saw that it was Annabelle’s maid, a wicked smile grew on her face, and a glimmer of fear washed over Annabelle’s face.

“May?”

“My Lady!” Omega May rushed to Annabelle, inspecting her body to ensure she was not hurt. She was relieved to have found her lady, as she had been quite scared. She was grateful that she knew the nooks and crannies of the castle; otherwise, she wouldn’t have known where the evil Lady Emily had kept her lady.

“I’m glad you’re alright. Come on, my lady, let’s go.”

“You came to save your lady?” Lady Emily laughed hysterically. “Wait, you think you can enter this room and go scot–free?!”

“Let my lady go!” Omega May yelled, making Lady Emily snicker.

“Or what, you lowly servant?” Lady Emily sneered, her eyes glinting. “My dear, let me crush your little hope. The moment your feet entered this room, you gave your freedom to me willingly. Do you know why? I’m not allowing you to leave this room. Since you walked right in willingly, you will have to suffer the consequences along with your dearest lady. You’re stuck here forever, dear. As I leave this place, I’m locking the door, and I will throw the key into the deepest part of the forest…”

She laughed hysterically as she brought out a small bottle filled with wolfsbane, which can weaken a werewolf, and sprayed its contents into the air. The room was immediately filled with the strong smell of wolfsbane.

Lady Annabelle and her maid stepped back, looking uncomfortable. The wolfsbane made them feel weak, and they struggled to stay standing until they fell to the ground, groaning weakly.

“Let me see how you can seduce Alpha Derek while suffering in here with no ventilation, no food, and no water. You’ll both die of hunger and thirst, I assure you.

That will be your punishment for thinking you can walk into the castle and take the attention of my Alpha Derek from me.” She laughed.

“If your fated mate rejected you and denied you, you don’t have to destroy another person’s future. I wasn’t the one who couldn’t keep her legs closed and got pregnant while it was against the rules of her pack. So don’t you dare try to spoil my relationship with my own.” And with that, Lady Emily left the room, locking the door in the process and keeping the key in her pocket with the intention of throwing it into the deepest part of the forest when she had the chance.

As she walked down the stairs, already getting close to the great chamber, she caught sight of Alpha Derek staring right at her with a piercing gaze.

Her heart almost stopped beating when she saw him.

“Where is she?!” Alpha Derek thundered, his piercing gaze not leaving her until she reached the great chamber.

“You scared me!”

“I said, where is she?!” Derek asked one more time, his eyes blazing with fire and anger.

“Huh?”

“Emily, do not make me repeat myself again. Where the heck is she?!”

Lady Emily shivered in fear, feeling extremely nervous for the fear that she had been caught, which she was not yet sure of.

“Who are you talking about, Derek?” She asked, wanting to know just how much Alpha Derek knew.

“Where is Annabelle?!” Derek yelled, his eyes flashing with fury, making Lady Emily flinch.

“I have no idea.” She lied but was shocked when Alpha Derek grabbed her by the throat.

“You will tell me where you kept her, or else-

“Or else what, son? Or else what?” Luna Sandra interrupted as she took her seat on the royal chair.

“Mom, this is not your concern.”

Lady Emily immediately burst into tears as Alpha Derek uttered those dreadful words to her.

“Son, you should be getting ready. Your party is about to start in about an hour and fifty minutes.

“Mom, this party won’t start until I find her.”

“Annabelle. I can’t seem to find her around the castle.” Alpha Derek reported, his death glare still not leaving Lady Emily’s eyes.

“Perhaps she went on a walk. Have you asked her maid where she is?”

“I can’t find her either.”

“Perhaps they both went on a walk.”

“Mom, you know that is not possible. The guards wouldn’t allow her to pass the gates without my permission or even yours since she is a slave.”

“You’ve said it, son. She is a slave. Just a slave, so you shouldn’t allow a slave to stop you from celebrating this party. She is nothing but a slave, and you don’t need her until you need her for your satisfaction, which is definitely not now. Now you need to start getting ready for your party!”

“Emily, where is she?” Alpha Derek asked Emily, who still wailing profusely on the

floor.

“As you can see, the poor girl is crying. Why are you still bothering her? I’m sure she doesn’t know anything about her whereabouts. Son, I didn’t train you this way to make a lady cry. Not just any lady, but your fiancée for god’s sake. If that girl is going to cause trouble in this castle, then I won’t hesitate to eliminate her!” Luna Sandra yelled, as she helped Lady Emily up, while consoling her.

Just as Lady Emily was being consoled, a key fell from her dress.

Before Lady Emily could pick it up, Derek immediately did so.

He scrutinized the key, wondering what door it could open.

“Hand it back, Alpha Derek. It belongs to my room.” Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.

“Lie. I know the key to your room well, and it definitely isn’t shaped this way. Now tell me, Emily, what key is this?”

“It’s the key to a safe in my room. I’m sorry for lying.”

“A safe in your room?”

“Yes. Where I keep my jewelry.”

Derek inspected it once again and saw that the key didn’t look like a key for a safe.

“Lie. This key belongs to a room in the castle, Emily. Tell me.”

“I’m not telling lies, Derek.” She wailed.

“Alright, fine. If you’re lying, what should I do to you, Emily? Throw you out of this castle and back to your parents?!”

“Son, stop being so harsh on her!”

“Mom, please stay out of this! Head Omega Beatrice!” Alpha Derek yelled.

“Yes, Alpha.”

“Go to Lady Emily’s room and get me her safe where she keeps her jewelry.”

“Alpha Derek, please don’t make Beatrice go to my room! She doesn’t know where things are, and she’ll mess everything up… My own maid knows exactly where the jewelry box is, and she’ll get it for you quickly, I promise! Please, don’t let Beatrice touch my things… she’ll ruin everything!”

“You don’t need to worry, Emily. Even if Head Omega Beatrice takes the whole day, I can wait. Now you tell me, if this key doesn’t fit with your safe, what should be your punishment?”

Lady Emily shuddered in fear as she didn’t know what she would do. Her plans were already failing all because of that stupid key…

Lady Emily knew Alpha Derek meant what he said, which made her body shudder in fear. If only someone would come to save her from this mess…

However, when Omega Sim, Lady Emily’s maid, heard the punishment, she thought of what she might do to help her lady, and the only thing that came to mind was to go free them, which would stop the Alpha from continuing with his search. So, she did just

that.

“Alpha Derek, I’ve found them!” Omega Sim yelled while rushing down the stairs.

“You’ve found who?”

“Lady Annabelle and her maid. They were just taking a stroll around the castle, and they got lost. They look so weak and are lying in the east wing passage.” Omega Sim reported, and Lady Emily smiled in relief.
