I watched her run out of the throne room. The elders looked surprised at her response but I wasn’t. I was expecting more than she displayed but was more shocked when the elders noted that this was the only condition for me to help her. 

“Elders of the Lycans.” I called and the men looked at me.

Elder Comelius walked closer to me. “Dearking, we aren’t saying that you two are fated mates, of course not! It’s only the moon goddess that assigns mates, It’s just a contract marriage, nothing has to occur between you two. This is the only way for her to get what she wants, being the mate of the lycan king will add more power to her name.” 

I understood his point and I got up on my feet. 

“I will be back soon,” I said to them and walked out. 

I saw the maid who brought Nora in. 

“Where is she?” 

She bowed. 

“I saw her running off and heading towards the room she was in 

I walked off and got in, I saw her pacing back and forth and she quickly looked at me as soon as the door opened. 

“Stay away from me!” She snapped. 

But I didn’t, instead, I walked towards her. “I am only doing this to help you.”

At the sound of her name, she looked up at me. 

“I don’t trust you!” She sassed. “I don’t know you and the last thing on my mind is to have anything to do with any man.” 

I scoffed. “I guess we are on the same page but it will do you more good to let go of your pride and do what’s best for you.” 

Saying this, I turned around and headed for the door. 

“Wait!” She called and I halted. 

“It’s just a contract marriage, right?” She asked but I didn’t say a word. 

“Okay, I will do it and as soon as I get what I want, I will dissolve the marriage.” She said, 

“Good.” I muttered and walked out of the room.

Chapter 6 

An hour later, Nora walked into the throne room. A document wis handed to her and with doubts written on her face, she signed it. 

“You are my mate now, and will be addressed as the queen of the Lycan world,” I whispered to her.

I couldn’t believe it, a contract marriage just to get my revenge. 

Everything seems to have happened so fast but I was desperate god I had no other choice. 

What more decisions do I have to make to get my pack back?

I sighed loudly in deep thoughts.

I inhaled deeply as I walked into a large crowd of lycans. 

I couldn’t believe my eyes, I felt nervous and my hands become sweaty as my legs wobbled at each step I took.

At once, the crowd bowed their heads in respect and I suddenly felt dizzy and my vision became blurry. 

“Luna, are you alright?” The maid beside me asked and I nodded, rubbing my head. 

Suddenly, I felt a wave of weakness in my bones and at once, I fell to the ground, deep darkness overwhelmed me. 

An odd smell triggered me. 

I opened my eyes to find myself in a hospital ward, with Dimitri by my side. He appeared worried and I could feel his gaze 

on me 

“You are awake” 

I narrowed my gaze. “What happened? Why am I here?” 

He sighed. 

“You fainted at the coronation, are you alright?” He asked. 

I was about to speak but the door of the ward opened and a doctor walked in, not Leo this time. 

“Doctor, what is the problem?” Dimitri inquired as he got up on his feet. 

J stared at the man before me. 

“Am I sick? Is anything wrong with me?” 

The doctor glanced at Dimitri and back at me. “Not at all, you are perfectly fine.”

I froze at the bed, shocked to my bones as a deafening sound filled my ears. 

“Pregnant?” My lips trembled. 

“Yes, you are four weeks gone.” The doctor confirmed and my heart dropped.
