Being Proposed to By a Blind CEO

Officially Dating?

“You guys are dating already?” Asked Anggi, who had already guessed that Belvina was indeed romantically drunk. Belvina just nodded while bowing her head in shame. Then looked into Anggi’s eyes with a smile that did not fade from her thin lips.

“Hmm, yes,”

“Hahahay, finally yes, Vin. You got the former CEO of Jakarta hahahah,”

“Hussh, it doesn’t matter, the important thing is that he’s still young, you know!” Belvina denied, making Anggi laugh even more.

“Hahaha, tell me about the time he confessed his love to you,” Belvina complied with Anggi’s request to tell her about that day.

“I like you, Vin,”

“What do you mean, Gif? What do you like about me? There are various kinds of things someone likes about another person, maybe you’re just amazed,” Belvina’s answer did not satisfy Gifer’s heart so much that the sweet man had to really declare his love, not just his love for the girl who was now in front of him. He reached out and grasped both of Belvina’s hands and kissed them briefly.

“Maybe it’s not just admiration or liking, Belvina. I really do love you. I’m sorry, I’m not as perfect as other men who can see and not trouble others. There are still many flaws in me that don’t believe in the miracle that God has given me, I know that. I’ve long felt that I love you, Vin. Will you be my girlfriend? But, if you don’t want to accept love from this blind man, then…” Before Gifer could continue his sentence, an index finger suddenly pressed against his thick lips.

“Shhh, did you say that?” Gifer nodded while folding his thick lips.

“Yes, I want to. I also feel the same way, Gifer. Even when we were in the library that time, when we accidentally kissed, from there I actually started to like you,” Gifer smiled when remembering their meeting in the central library of Jakarta at that time.

“Is that so?”

“Yes,” Gifer hugged Belvina’s body, as the rain that was getting heavier soaked their bodies in the afternoon. Seeking each other’s warmth in the cold water that fell on both of their clothes and hair.

“So that’s the story, Gi,”

“I suspected from the beginning that you guys would end up dating. And I was right all along,” Anggi was so happy to see that her best friend was no longer single after all these years.

“Hahahaha, yes Gi,”

“So, what about the plan to find an eye donor for Gifer? So?”

“I don’t know this yet, Gi. I’m still saving up for the cost. As for asking around at the hospital, I haven’t done that yet,” Belvina said, lowering her head sadly. She really wanted Gifer to see her again, so that he could see her beautiful face directly, not just with a mere touch which Gifer himself could not imagine what Belvina’s face looked like.

While they were talking, a cell phone from inside the living room rang. Anggi who heard that immediately knew that what rang was Belvina’s cell phone because it was heard from the ringtone.

“Cie cie … Just talked about it, already called. Hahahahaha, hurry up Vin, and pick up the phone. How could you keep your girlfriend waiting? Hahaha,” Anggi continued to tease Belvina, to which the owner of the cell phone immediately ran to the living room. But when she opened the phone, her smile that had been engraved earlier instantly faded. It turned out that it wasn’t her boyfriend, Gifer Fernandez, calling, but an unknown number. Belvina started to code Anggi with her eyes and raised eyebrows.

“Why?”

“Not Gifer, Gi. It’s an unknown number,” Belvina showed her cell phone to Anggi. The one who was pointed at also looked at Belvina’s cell phone screen to confirm whether it was really an unknown number. It turned out that after reading it correctly, only the number was listed without a name.

“Pick up or not?” Asked Belvina.

“Wait a minute, I think I know that cellphone number,” Anggi tried to remember while picking up his cellphone which he put on the table in the room. He then walked with Belvina back to the living room while looking for the cell phone number in his contacts.

“Whose number is it, Gi?” Asked Belvina curiously while peeking slightly at Anggi’s cell phone screen.

“What, Mr. KEVIN?” They both said in unison while widening their eyes.

“Mr. Kevin’s number? Do you pick up Gi?”

“Pick it up, but on loudspeaker.” Anggi suggested. Belvina moved the green button, but because she took so long to pick up, the phone was finally cut off unilaterally by Mr. Kevin.

“Wow, I’m getting suspicious, Mr. Kevin must have something to do with this call, Vin,” Anggi tried to tell Belvina. The one being told still looked uneasy, in case Mr. Kevin really needed her or was it Raya who was just calling her? Raya didn’t like her and Anggi either.

“What should I do then? Call back?” Belvina asked confused.

“No, there’s no need to call back. If she needs it, she’ll definitely call back.”

“Ah, yes you’re right.”

At Gifer and Haris’s apartment, they were both having a hearty dinner, but not with Gifer who occasionally smiled, remembering the incident the other day where he carelessly shot Belvina while it was snowing. Feeling something strange with his friend, made Haris’ mouth want to ask immediately. If for example the friend went crazy, who would bear it? Haris too, right?

“Gif, what’s wrong with you oh? Jin possession?” Haris asked.

“No! You’re just talking out of your ass,” replied Gifer.

“I’ve seen your face looks so cheerful, are you happy?” Haris was even more curious as a result of asking his best friend.

“Yes, that’s it, haha,”

“Ah, I know, you must be thinking about that girl in the park, right? What was her name?”

“Belvina.”

“Now that,”

“Belvina is now my girlfriend, you know!”

“Really, since when?”

“Since the rain fell on that day,”

“Oh wow, it’s appropriate that my best friend is very happy, it turns out he has a new girlfriend again. Hahaha, finally yes Gif. Congratulations GIfer Fernandez. I as your best friend can only hope that the relationship between you and your boyfriend can last until marriage, amen,” Haris said that with a serious face without a hint of joke. Gifer who understood that could only remain silent and agree.

“Yes, I hope so. But, I still have doubts,”

“What kind of doubts, buddy?”

“I’m still afraid that Belvina won’t accept me as I am,”

“Geez, there’s no need to doubt. If I look around, Belvina is better than Raya’s grandmother.

“Yes, too,”

“Well, then, trust is the main thing of a relationship, so don’t misunderstand or think negative things, think positive things,”

“Well, you are indeed the best friend, Ris.”

This Saturday morning, Belvina and Anggi did not work, because bank employees only work Monday through Friday. This time they both decided to tuck themselves into their blankets even though it was already 8:00 am. While they were still sleeping, someone pressed the apartment bell, making both of them jump in surprise because the bell was not only pressed once, but many times.

“Aishh, who came so early in the morning? If Gifer asked to meet me, I would have talked to him over the phone last night. It’s impossible for Gifer to be mean.” Belvina muttered while still closing her eyes.

“Aish! It’s just annoying!” Belvina rudely shook off the blanket, she immediately walked out of the room and wanted to swear at the person who had ruined her morning. Just as she opened the apartment door, her eyes were surprised to see the person in front of her.

“Oh? Mr. Kevin?”
