Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 213

Alicia really was a strong and independent woman who loved and valued herself. She was worthy of anyone's pampering for a lifetime!

Feeling sorry for her, Frederick hugged her tightly. No wonder Jeremy would come to their home with a scar-removing ointment! Frederick blamed himself for being an irresponsible husband.

At this moment, regret overwhelmed him.

After pinching her pinkish cheeks gently, he leaned down and gave her an adoring, deep kiss.

"Silly! You're so silly! Promise me not to go to dangerous places like this again! Didn't you find it suspicious when you were asked to go to a hotel? If anything happens, call me immediately! Always put your safety first, okay?"

She even stabbed herself with a knife. Was she not afraid of losing her life? Upon thinking that she was so desperate to protect her body while willing to give herself to him, she must have loved him. She would not let anyone touch her but him. Frederick was inexplicably moved. However, her safety and her life were the most important to him, more than anything else.

"Okay! I'll be more careful!" Alicia replied.

After nodding, she curled up in front of his chest. Although staying alive was important, if she were assaulted, she would rather end her life!

Moreover, despite all the twists and turns in their marriage, it was indeed an unforgettable journey for her. No matter what she had felt for him, love or gratitude, one thing she was sure of was that she liked to be with him. She loved the way Frederick hugged her and loved her. Although there were some sad moments, he was the closest to her for the past three years after all.

This feeling was different to her.

Marriage was not easy. People have said that no matter how much a couple loved each other, they would have thought about divorce two-third of the time in their life! Despite that, as long as they cared about each other and there was more laughter than tears, it was a marriage worth holding on to.

Perhaps when they have grown old together, they would realize that it was actually not that bad!

Falling in love was easy. What was hard was to maintain the relationship. Alicia cherished her current life very much. At least for this moment, she had not thought about leaving him.

After knowing what happened on that day thoroughly, Frederick let her go. Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.

"Okay, now go and do your translation work! I'll bring you out in the afternoon and we'll be back before night," he voiced.

"Okay! Your wish is my command!"

She went to turn on the computer while he headed to the study with his phone.

At noon, both of them were still full from breakfast. After a short rest, they changed their clothes and went out together.

That day, they wore matching couple outfits. Frederick had a casual shirt paired with black trousers while Alicia wore a thin, loose sweater paired with slim black pants. They held their hands and walked on the streets, making a beautiful couple.

Two of them strolled around in the shopping mall. Suddenly, Frederick was pulled into a clothing store by Alicia. "Their clothes are having a discount! I'll go and pick a dress or two. Since you tore and threw my clothes, you have to compensate me!"

She grinned and was about to head over to the discount section when he pulled her back. "Look at you!" They were out shopping and she wanted to choose discounted clothes which were obviously not of the latest collections? She would be buying outdated fashion. What was wrong with her?

He walked her to the platform with the new clothing products. "Don't simply buy trash! Go and choose from the latest ones."

She shook her head at him cutely and exclaimed, "You just don't know when to live in moderation, don't you?"

Nevertheless, she went off to choose the clothes happily. Since someone was willing to pay for her, she felt like she deserved it!

According to her preference, she chose a casual chiffon shirt paired with shorts, which was simple but fashionable. If she paired it with leggings, this outfit could last for three seasons. After that, she chose a slim top paired with a long skirt. She also paired it with a coat, making her look more elegant and not shabby for any formal occasion. Feeling satisfied, she went to show Frederick her new outfit.

"Hubby, do I look pretty?"

"You look good but the pants are too short!" he replied. What was she planning to do wearing something so revealing? He took out the shorts in her hand, meaning a 'no'.

"It's a set and they can't be sold separately. Besides, I like it!" She reached her hand out and took it back from him.

She shook his hand and pleaded adorably, "I always wear black leggings with shorts!"

He remembered all her black leggings that were at home and finally agreed, "Okay!"

They walked out of the store as Alicia held Frederick's arm. She had not felt so relaxed for a long time.

Next, Frederick went into the sleepwear gallery next door and chose two revealing nightdresses for her according to his preferences, even choosing one which was bright red in color. Alicia was stupefied, almost choking on her saliva as her face blushed furiously.

How were people supposed to wear these thin, almost transparent dresses with spaghetti straps? Alicia was too embarrassed to pick them but Frederick was actually unabashed as he paid for them at the counter!

She pouted in disapproval as they exited the store. Meanwhile, his eyes were all smiles. He held her hand with their fingers linked together, his heart pounding in delight.

"Are you hungry? Let's go and have some food. What do you want to eat?"

"Steak!"

She finally stopped pouting and smiled. He pinched her on the cheek and said, "Sure, let's go!"

He held the shopping bags in one hand while the other was wrapped another around her waist. They talked and laughed all their way in a cheerful mood.

On the other side of the street, there was a familiar figure standing there. It was Danica. She had chased after them in her high heels while carrying bags in her arms. However, she lost their tracks after following them for two streets' distance.

Alicia and Frederick entered a private room in a sophisticated restaurant, ordering steak and other dishes. Soon, their food was served.

Alicia eagerly grabbed the cutlery, about to pounce on the food. "Hubby, let's eat!"

Frederick knocked her knife away. "You're a hungry one! It's still sizzling, you'll hurt your own hand! Wait for it to cool off a bit, have the salad if you're hungry."

She shook her head and replied, "No, I want to eat it now! It was all because of you that I've been so tired every night; I need to eat!"

She sulked dramatically and changed into a big smile as she bit at her fork.

Frederick was about to say something when his phone rang. He saw Danica's name displayed on the screen and he did not answer the call. He hung up instantly and sent her a message.

"Call you later."

He then put his phone into silent mode.

Alicia had already started eating her steak and her lips reddened due to the spice. She took a sip on her cold juice happily like a mouse who just had a block of cheese.

He helped her cut up the rest of the steak into small pieces and said, "Slow down, there's no rush. We can get more if it's not enough!"

He was about to eat when his phone lit up again, causing him to furrow his eyebrows.

"Is it something urgent?"
