Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 179

Chapter 179

Those whom she wanted to see, would not come; and yet those she wanted away to stay away from would just appear! What type of ill-luck did she have?

With no place to vent her pent-up anger, Alicia lost control at that moment.

"Do you think I would still stupidly, shamelessly suck up to you just with a beckon? Because of you, my home is gone, my love has been destroyed, my life and career were changed! Do you believe that with Lindsay Crouch, with your child, and after destroying my belief in love, I would still fantasize about you?"

Catching her breath, Alicia felt like a clown at that instant.

"You think too highly of yourself! If you had known what I have gone through these past three years, you would have known how much I regret meeting you! Jeremy Pitcher, I will never forgive you, let alone accept you! Everything I do has nothing to do with you! Just f*cking stay away from me in the future!"

Thinking of the past, Alicia couldn't help but burst into tears again. She gritted her teeth angrily, raised her foot, and was about to leave when Jeremy grabbed her wrist again.

'Ally, if I had—" If I had my difficulties, would you give me another chance? That was what he wanted to say.

Before Jeremy could even finish, Alicia got so mad that she slapped him in the face. "Don't you understand human language?"

With his face turned to the side, a burning sensation rose in his cheeks. Time had seemingly stopped at this moment and Jeremy unconsciously tightened his grip.

Alicia glared at him piercingly, shooting daggers at him. Her hands were trembling by her side and she gasped for breath.

Out of nowhere, an angry figure rushed forward and slapped her without warning. "How could you hit him? Do you know how hard it had been for Jeremy for the past few years? He was sleepless every night because of you!"

The pain suddenly hit her and Alicia could almost smell the blood in her mouth. Finally, Jeremy released her wrist. Looking at the fearless woman in front of her, Alicia retaliated with a slap to her face. The impact was so great that Lindsay almost fell to the ground.

"D*mn! Who do you think you are? What right do you have to hit me?"

"Linds!" Jeremy immediately supported her. He was obviously very unhappy and couldn't help but burst out in anger, "What are you doing? She's pregnant! If you have a problem, come at me. Leave her alone!"

Meanwhile, Lindsay was pitifully sniffing. She clutched at Jeremy's sleeves with tears in her eyes. Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

"I'm fine. Don't be angry!"

Having enough of their hypocrisy and pestering, Alicia felt like she had stepped on dung; she could not get rid of it nor shake it off.

"Oh, how high and mighty of you. What are the two of you doing here? Stop f*cking acting in front of me and showing off, do you think I really give a d*mn? If you are really in love, then just find a place, get married and f*ck off! If you are really that responsible, why are you still pestering me? Do you want my forgiveness? Then dump her! If you're really that selfless, what the f*ck do you expect in return? You're angry? Let him go if you think you're a saint — I'll be the villain, are you happy with

that? Please continue with your act! You really are a hypocrite! If you touch me one more time, don't blame me for being ruthless!"

They were like cockroaches; they didn't bite but they made her sick!

After venting her anger, Alicia took one last look at their pale faces, grunted angrily and strode away.

Back home, Alicia was down in the dumps. Her cheek ached, hence she put some ice to it and applied a little medical ointment.

She climbed into bed and rolled up the blanket. She felt extremely lonely. Recently, she felt like she was so unlucky to the extreme!

Usually, she could fall asleep almost immediately but recently, she started having insomnia.

She shut her eyes tightly but her consciousness was very much awake. In the end, she couldn't stand it. She got out of bed and rummaged for two sleeping pills.

After what seemed like forever, she finally fell into a groggy sleep.

The next morning, it was already almost 8 o'clock when Alicia opened her eyes. She shot out of bed almost instantly.

"Oh, my! I'm gonna be late! It's really an unlucky year!"

Hurriedly packing, Alicia rushed downstairs with her bag and shoes. When she opened the door, Frederick was outside with his hand raised mid-air.

Their eyes met; both of them were obviously stunned.

Judging from his character, he had returned at this time to avoid meeting her. He should be back to either collect something!

The sudden realization made Alicia even more unhappy!

Looking at him from the corner of her eyes, she pursed her lips and ran away.

For a long time, Frederick just stood at the doorway. He didn't enter or turn around; it was as if he was frozen there.

Just as Alicia had expected, his objective was really just to collect some documents, a change of clothes, and look around the house. Never did he think she would still be at home at this time.

When he came back, he specifically checked whether the car was at home!

But, the moment their eyes met, Frederick felt like something was missing. He felt unsettled.

When he finally eased up, the door was still open but the house felt so inhospitable.

Upon entering, he walked around the place. This was his home, it should be all familiar to him. No matter what he touched, should it be the fridge or the staircase, or even just sitting on the bed —it felt very relaxing for him.

Looking at the messy quilt, Frederick could imagine how frantic she was when she left this morning.

Unconsciously, his cold lips pursed into a line as he thought to himself, "Couldn't she even greet him? Was she even a woman? There wasn't a shred of gentleness or consideration, she was also immature and disobedient!"

It was so irritating!

Inadvertently turning his gaze, a huge brown bear on the sofa came into view. Frederick couldn't help but smile.

"As expected, she's still like a kid!"

He scanned his surroundings. He immediately noticed a tube of medication on the dressing table. He suddenly remembered that when he saw her, one side of her face seemed odd. Moreover, someone, as dedicated to money as her leaving the house this late, was even odder!

Was she bullied when she was out working?

No wonder she pulled a long face and was looking at him with plaintive eyes!

Would there be someone bold enough to strike her?

At this realization, Frederick suddenly just couldn't sit still.

After a change of clothes, he got his car keys and went out.

In the CEO's office at Soaver International, Frederick's subordinates were reporting to him but all he could think about was the scene from earlier in the morning.

Playing with the tip of his pen, he suddenly spoke," What do you all think if I don't pay this month's wages?”

As soon as he spoke, all of his subordinates exclaimed in unison, "What?”
