Back in Time: Unshackling From Love (Mikayla Davidson)

Chapter 133

Chapter 133

Mikayla couldn’t help but roll her eyes at him. “Mr. Blue, are you satisfied now?”

“Yes, I am!” Taylor stood up. ‘Since we’ve solved the issue here, go somewhere with me.”

“Where are we going?”

“Let’s talk outside.” Taylor adjusted his coat and stepped out of the office.

Mikayla said goodbye to Betty and followed him outside.

Continuing to harbor discomfort from Taylor’s previous demeanor, she inquired coldly, “What’s with the secrecy? Where are we headed? We aren’t that acquainted. Keep any non–work matters to yourself.”

“I have no desire to be familiar with you either.” Taylor cast a disdainful glance at Mikayla. “I’ve set my sights on a new project. I’d like you to follow me to take a look.”

Despite not being formally part of Mocato Investments, he expected her to work and join him for site inspections. She was left speechless by his exploitation.

“Are you silently scolding me?” Taylor raised his eyebrows. “You didn’t act this way when you

sought my cooperation.”

Mikayla remained utterly speechless. “Does this inspection contribute to my performance?”

He mocked, “Ms. Davidson, don’t be so petty. After all, you’re also the wife of Miller Group’s CEO.”

She retorted, “I only scratched your car, yet you demanded billions in compensation. Compared to

you, I’m nothing.”

Taylor wasn’t angry. Instead, he prodded at Mikayla’s sensitive spot. “I believe Jerome abandoned you because of your sharp tongue.”

Mikayla, unruffled, replied, “In that case, is your fiancée drawn to you for your ‘charming‘ eloquence?”

Upon mentioning his fiancée, Irene Sullivan, Taylor’s expression shifted. He tossed the car keys to Mikayla. “You’re driving!“.

She assumed he assigned her the role of driver because he intended to indulge in alcohol later. Acknowledging him as her future partner and boss, she took on the task.

After starting the car, Taylor informed Mikayla that their destination was a lesser–known private

restaurant.

Mikayla found it peculiar. “Aren’t you usually keen on grandeur and lavish settings? Why not

choose a high–end restaurant, especially one exclusively for members only to impress the clients? This material belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

He wore a playful smile. “I suppose they prefer that place.”

Mikayla was confused. “Suppose? Aren’t you treating them to a meal?”

He looked displeased. “Why do you ask so many nonsensical questions? Stop asking.”

She was left speechless. As she drove out of the parking lot, merging onto the main road, a loud bang echoed. Someone had collided with the back of the car.

Panicking, she looked at him through the rearview mirror. “It’s not my fault! I didn’t hit the brakes or block the way. The other party is entirely responsible.”

Taylor looked gloomy.

Mikayla noticed a provocatively dressed woman tapping on the car window before she could determine whether Taylor was annoyed with her or the other driver.

Lowering the window, Mikayla observed the woman glancing toward the back seat.

“What a coincidence, Mr. Blue! I’m so sorry. I just stepped on the accelerator too hard. I’ll take full responsibility!”

The woman’s voice exuded seduction, and her perfume was overpowering. She nearly leaned into

the driver’s seat.

Mikayla couldn’t resist commenting, “Miss, your breasts are on my arm.”
