“Katherine!!!”James hollered with a snort.

“Come on, Jammie. Don’t be so pesky. I was primping myself up. I mean, we are finally going out so.. I shouldn’t deliver less vibes.”she chuckled while approaching him.

She was putting on a bum short and a long top, that reached the end of the length of her short.

Her hair was packed into a ponytail too.

There was nothing out of the ordinary with her looks.

James huffed and rolled his eyes.

They moved out of the room and about to walk down the corridor when Katherine suddenly halted.

“What is it?”he asks.

“Our new neighbor!”she chimed.

“Wouldn’t it be nice to have someone else around?”she added.

“I don’t like her around.”he shook his head.

“You just met her. You don’t know her yet so how come you don’t like her?.”her brows creased up at him.

“I don’t know but my body just doesn’t find her comfortable.”

“Let me go get her seriously.”she tapped his shoulder and James grimaced.

Didn’t she told him that she finds her presence unsettling hours ago?

Katherine pressed the bell on her door and she opened up almost immediately.

Her face brightened when she saw Katherine.

“Katherine, hey?”

“Well, hi, hi there. You wanna go out for a little fun with us?”she puckered her lips.

Freya smiled, her eyes deepening again.

“I would love too! Right now?”

“Yes, right now. Go change..”Katherine pushed her in a little before closing the door for her.

“I sometimes hate your stubbornness.”James sneered at her.

“That’s fine by me!”she smiled at him making him frown.

Freya came out, wearing a short pink dress.

“So.. how do I look?”she asked Katherine who gave her two thumbs up.

“I like your barbie look.”she complimented.

Freya turned to James who popped out his eyes at her.

“What?, why are you looking at me?”he said grumpily.

Katherine poked his arm gently and gave him a look.

“Well.. you look barbie, cool.”he swallowed hard before putting his hands in his jacket’s pockets, streaking away.

Freya chuckled.

“Well then, cutie, let’s go!”Katherine dragged her alongside her.

They moved down the streets with James walking ahead of them.

They arrived at a restaurant – BigGirl’s Bite and struts inside.

The restaurant is frequented mostly by couples, especially when a guy is trying to please or apologize to his girlfriend.

It’s a top notch one.

They chose a table close to the glassy wall.

A waiter came to them with a jotter and pen.

“What would you like to have, sir/mas?”

James took the menu card from the table and scoured his eyes around their dishes.

“We will take burger boogie for all.”Katherine said without staring at the menu.

That’s her favorite food.

“Burger boogie again?”James snorts.

“Isn’t that what we had for lunch the last time we came here?”

“What are we about to have now?. Lunch!”she clicked her tongue.

“Well, it’s always nice to launch a new idea. I will go for steak.”he sighed.

“So you don’t wanna eat Burger Boogie wth me, huh?”she scoffs.

“Boogie yourself alone, Katherine.”he rolled his eyes.

They all directs their gazes to Freya.

She widened her eyes at them.

“Order for a food, less expensive one though. I don’t have too much money to squander.”

Freya nodded slowly and nipped at her bottom lip.

“I will go for biscuits blister then.”she hummed.

“Three glasses of mango juice.”Katherine added.

The waiter nodded then left after telling them he would be back shortly.

James turned around to the crowd and when he turned back, he caught Freya staring at him, no, his chest.

Did he has a smudge on his shirt?

He looked down but found nothing.

When he looked up again, she has already switched her eyes over to Beatrice who was beside her, staring at her chest too.

Okay.. that is bizarre.

“Here are your orders, sir/mas. If you need any other thing, do let me know.”the waiter dropped their dishes Infront of them one after the other.

Katherine rubbed her hands together then grinned.

“I will enjoy the meal, Jammie.”she exhaled.

“Well, whatever.”he rolled his eyes and chuckled.

Katherine sure likes food a lot. Her favorite food are spaghetti and burger boogie.

For the first time in his life, James had appreciated his mother for teaching him how to cook when he got to know how delighted Katherine always is when she sees food.

She grabbed the burger and bite into it.

“Uhmmmm.. yummy.. this is so rich.”she chewed on the food and gave her finger which got smeared with the pickles a lick.

“Should we go to a sushi restaurant tonight?”she brought her head a little closer to James.

Oh! She loves sushis too!

“Bills on you.”James ranted.

Katherine snorts before moving her head back.

“If you’re going to be a gentleman, why not be that till the end?.”she gave him her puppy eyes and he quickly took his eyes away.

“No way I’m getting myself bribed over with those eyes.”he said while making a screeching sound from the way he is cutting the steak with the fork and knife in his hand on the plate.

“You guys are so cute.”Freya smiled.

James threw her a glance.

“Huhh?”

“I.. mean.. I like your friendship.”she grinned.

“Oh, of course.. we get that a lot.”Katherine said, mouthful and poked Freya’s arm with her’s, while licking her four fingers.

“Etiquette, Katherine. You..”

“Hey, Jammie.”she gulped her food down her throat then carried her mango juice, taking a swig of it.

“Lecture me after I’m done eating. You expect me to let these fingers go to waste?.”she licked them again.

James scoffed and turned back to his food.

Even though she eats this quite a lot, she always act like it’s the first time she would be tasting it whenever she is eating it again.

He dropped a piece of steak in his mouth and munched on it gently, savoring the taste.

Freya was eating her biscuits blister in peace too.

“I want more!”Katherine exclaimed few minutes later.

“Earn more money so you can always have more.”James grinned and she scoffs.

“You would get me another burger boogie, Jammie.”she frowned at him.

“Never.”he replied sternly after bringing his palm down from his mouth.

“Be a big man, Jammie, and get me another boogie.”she pouted.

“We left some sweet potatoes back at home. Just you wait till we get home so you can boogie on them.”he teased.

Katherine pouted and turned to Freya.

“I don’t have my purse with me so I’m afraid I can’t get you a boogie.”she looked up at her.

Katherine chuckled.

“No, not that. I was just cogitating how you’re enjoying your biscuits.”

Freya smiled back without saying anything.

James snorts before taking a sip from his juice.

From his side eye, he could see a group of men, piercing their gazes at them.

Those are Maverick’s men, no doubts.

He scoffed.

He stared up at Freya and enunciated;

“You’re a club manager.”
