“I can prove my claims,” Petra stepped forward just as she saw her plan beginning to go south as the old wolves grew scared due to Xavier’s threat.

“How?” Stephen asked.

“I have the surrogacy contract” she smirked at Xavier.

Then specifically at the old wolf who had now positioned himself besides the one held by his grandsons. The mere mention of the surrogacy contract had left every ranking wolf at Xavier’s side pale. The astonished expressions on Stephen and Lena’s faces were genuine.

But Petra could feel dread and anxiety coming off of the Alpha standing in front of her and his loyal Beta to be rather funny and fulfilling.

“Xavier, tell me this is a lie” Stephen retained his faith in his grandson, but his tone was soft, almost like a whisper, when he spoke to Xavier. Even in this situation, he did not tear his green hateful eyes from that evil woman.

The blonde b***h had ventured to bring this topic up in front of the elders, indicating that this was not a shot in the dark. Her confident smile and stance told him that she had strong proof, then this was the beginning of Sirius Bright Pack’s demise.

If Petra’s claim was true, the Alpha King Renard would be forced to remove Xavier from his current position as Alpha the Sirius Bright Pack, as well as his t!tle of Crown Prince.

The woman standing alone in front of the entire Sirius Bright Pack was ready to destroy her ex-mate’s future, leaving nothing behind but humiliation.

“Tell me, son,” Grandpa repeated again, this time in complete terror. When the b***h in front of him kept barking, his grandson was not one to remain silent. Why was he acting so strange right now? Petra’s low laugh filtered through the crowd.

“That’s impossible!” Stephen let out a lethal growl, causing Petra to take a few steps back in terror. A man and his surrogate?! Nothing so abhorrent had ever been said to him in his life. He had initially noticed that something was off between his grandson and granddaughter-in-mate. However, as time had gone on, he observed that Xavier’s and Kiara’s desire for one another had evolved into love.

This had been evident to Stephen, he could tell that Xavier and Kiara were in love. The couple were like magnets, they were simply drawn to each other.

The old wolf had been all too eager to trust what he had seen with his own eyes! He was not going to accept that the Alpha couple’s relationship was nothing more than a contract relationship. Petra paused before continuing.

“Yes, it sounds impossible, but this is the truth, elder Stephen. You were kept in the dark. I was also shocked when I discovered that she had been offered a large amount of money after the delivery!

How cunning your grandson and temporary granddaughter-in-mate are! Whether you trust me or not, you are being played, Stephen,” she remarked politely, but did not forget to throw a smirk at the elder that was now highly offended.

Petra also intended to exact revenge on that green-eyed old fox of Grandfather. For every insult, affront, and taunt he had ever hurled her way was still vividly etched in her memory. Xavier’s Grandfather had never acknowledged her as his granddaughter-in-mate. He had treated her as if she were invisible, never regarding her with the respect that she deserved as Luna.

Not to mention that at Zander’s wedding Petra had seen Adira wearing a valuable family heirloom, a diamond necklace, that Stephen’s mate had stored away for the mates of her twin grandsons.

But Petra had never been fortunate enough to so much as glimpse those jewels. She had only received what Xavier had purchased for her. They were also gorgeous and expensive, but she had never gotten what she had truly desired.

She was fully aware that the necklace had been exclusively for her. Now they had been stolen by Kiara and Adira. Those greedy b!tches had her things! Stephen had ridiculed her by claiming that he was worried that Petra would sell his family’s cherished heirlooms!

He saw her as a low-class woman who would do anything for money and power. Despite the fact that she had been born with a silver spoon in her mouth. He had often insulted her, and he had also been one of the reasons she had been exposed and rejected.

He had constantly doubted her actions and planted doubts in Zander’s mind about her. Then there was her attractive, hot, and se.xy brother-in-mate that she had once managed to s.educe him once, but then he exposed her.

Obviously, Zander had never told his older twin about his sister-in-mate’s low whorish behavior, but he had never forgotten it. He began to keep his distance from Petra. Zander dug further into her former involvement with other men and the covert measures she used to take with Orion in Xavier’s absence.

Zander had lunch with Petra and Orion a few hours earlier on the day of rejection, when Xavier had found his mate and his Beta writhing bodies on his bed. The youngerMAlpha had been smiling at both of them being entirely too friendly, feeding Petra misinformation about how everyone would be departing for the woods to shift, run, and have fun under the light of the full moon.

Petra regretted believing Zander’s promises that day. Her deceitful brother-in-mate had lied to her! He never went for the run with the other pack members! He had been close to the pack house when he

summoned his brother!

Petra had an uneasy feeling at that moment, as Zander was absent at the moment. She had also made a wonderful arrangement for him and his whorish little vixen. She had no issue with Adira. Her only fault was that she looked similar to Kiara. That was enough for Petra to hate her as well.

The red-headed Gamma female who had been listening to Petra the entire time finally lost her patience. She was incredibly worried for her best friend who had started going into labor and was having contractions.

Jennifer was in her room screaming and here this blonde b***h chuckled and sneered at the most respectful person in the pack and her Alpha?!

“I have had enough of this, b***h!” Lena growled, trying to attack the other woman before her tiny wa!st was grabbed by Kaiden.

“Lena, No!” He tried to keep her under control, but as Tyler had told him when Lena got angry, then there was nothing that could hold her back, he was the only one who could handle her. fvck! The problem was that he was missing right now and the Beta was having trouble holding onto Lena as she struggled furiously in his strong arms.

“Lena, calm down,” Xavier ordered casually, but Petra continued.

“I can see everyone is so scared for your well being, Xavier. It seems like they are covering for you,” Petra chuckled. A few evil elders agreed with her, which angered Kaiden.

“I would like to inform you once again Petra, falsely accusing our Alpha will only lead you to your death sentence!

You have already lost your opportunity to apologize to our Alpha and Luna, so stop misleading the public. It will give you a less painful death if you stop accusing our Alpha’ as the second in command Kaiden fulfilled his duty as Beta with this announcement.

“The same goes with the elders who are supporting this woman. They will be punished with a painful death,” Kiaden added, which was more than enough to scare them. Petra heard their whispers, it was clear that they would soon leave her side and submit to Xavier. So she took the next step in her planning.

“And what if I could show you the proof? Like l said, I have the surrogacy contract!” She raised her voice to garner everyone’s attention.

“Then fvcking*g do it! I’ve had enough of this slut’s game,” Stephen growled. This was supposed to be the happiest day of his granddaughter’s life. The wedding had been a smashing success but now the stunt and scheme that Petra had been pulling in front of the elders was ruining this special day, just like it had been ruined for Zander and Adira’s wedding.

The curious eyes of everyone there followed her hand as she reached into her pocket and brought out a folded piece of paper. Her dark sly eyes were locked on the green ones of Alpha Xavier. She couldn’t help but cackle at his att!tude. He was doing everything he could to keep his face as controlled as possible.

She could see that the big bad Alpha had gone mute in fear as he caught a glimpse of his future, realizing that his life was finished. The king’s elders were on her side, and he Couldn’t hurt her no matter what she did. He couldn’t stop her from presenting the contract to them.

“This is my proof” she raised her hand in the air with a smug smile as she held the papers up high so that all men could view the Alpha Prince’s nasty secret.

They would also be able to see the terms, conditions, and rules that they had been held to while pretending to be mates in front of the pack. She relished everyone’s startled eyes as they scanned the papers as if the date of their demise had been written there.

“ls that a surrogacy contract?” Stephen c****d his brows while reading it, causing Petra to grin in victory.

“Yes, it is. That’s what I’ve been telling all of you,” she explained with a smile. Now all she had to do was wait for Xavier’s humiliation and downfall.

“Then why the fvck are you showing us this b***h? How are my grandson and granddaughter-in-mate connected to this signatureless and seal-less surrogacy contract?” The old wolf demanded, raising his voice.

“What? signatureless and seal-less surrogacy contract?!”

Petra brought the contract up to inspect it more closely. Her eyes nearly popped out of her head when she noticed that the signatures of the Alpha couple and the Sirius Bright Pack seal were missing!

“How is this possible?!” She gaped, grasping the blank contract. Petra’s eyes were as wide as if she were seeing a ghost. She knew that both the seal and signatures had been on the papers that Orion had given her. She’d even double-checked it in the morning! So how the heck could it have vanished since then?!

“Like I had expected from the beginning, this woman was just barking to cause trouble! She is holding a random surrogacy contract and accusing our Alpha and Luna!” Lena sneered in annoyance.

“l am not lying! Kiara is Xavier’s surrogate. The contract was signed! Ask the elders if you don’t believe me. I delivered copies of the contract to them last night” Petra faced all of the other wolves. Every elder shook in terror when she cast her brown eyes on them.

“We never got any copies of the surrogacy contract!”

They exchanged panicked words. Why was this woman leading them to an untimely death? When they had only come over to check on Jennifer and had happened to overhear about the contract! Then they had decided to use the contract to convince Xavier into taking the Alpha King’s position. But everyone was now in a deep sh!t!

Petra’s claim was proven to be untrue. Luna Kiara was the mother of Xavier’s heir, not a surrogate. They had taken Petra’s side earlier, which meant that they had unintentionally rebelled against the Alpha Prince!

“Don’t lie! I sent the copies to all of you!” She yelled, completely oblivious to the fact that she was speaking to the King’s elders. When she had returned from the pub, the first thing she had done was send them copies of the contract so that she might earn favor with them. So how could they not have gotten them?

“Such a horrible woman!” Stephen yelled, becoming enraged.

“You already deceived my grandson, now you’re accusing him of obtaining an heir through surrogacy! I had suspected she was lying from the beginning! This she-wolf is jealous of my granddaughter-in-mate.

Stephen’s menacing aura and remarks were reminiscent of Renard, the Alpha King. Not to mention that his face was a carbon copy of his twin’s. His earlier warning about Renard’s involvement was going to come back to haunt them. They could all see that their near future was going to come to nothing more than a dead end.

“Jealous?!” Petra chuckled bitterly.

“Why would I be jealous of my subst!tute? She is just like me. Your granddaughter-in-mate has been delivering a pup to your grandson in exchange for money! She struck a bargain! If I’m greedy then she’s no better. The surrogacy contract is real and does exist!” Petra snapped back at him.

“Then where the fvck is it?” Stephen sneered, his look shook the woman’s spirit. Enraged, Petra took a long deep breath. The question once again was, where the heck was the contract? She took another look at the doc.uments.

How was it possible that the seal and signature had vanished? Her eyes had not deceived her. It was not possible unless someone had exchanged it! fvck!

That’s when Petra noticed her brother, who was standing in the corner with his mate, as if they were in their own little world. They appeared to be at ease with one another.

One of his hands was resting on his mate’s wa!st while his other was tucked into his pocket as he leaned against the wall like a model. The couple’s easy comfort together irritated the irate woman to no end.

“Harvey! You did this! You changed the real surrogacy contract with this garbage!” Petra accused her brother while stalking over to him in rage.

“Have you gone insane?” He raised his brows in shock.

“Why would I do that? | didn’t even know anything about this mess.” He immediately cleared his name from this situation but she grabbed his collar.

“Harvey, you are the only one who came to my room this morning. You stole them from my pocket! I should have realized from the beginning why you had been showing me so much love and concern out of the blue!” She accused, but she saw her brother’s eyes widen in surprise.

“Wait a minute. Does that mean that you stole some type of contract from Alpha Xavier’s room? fvck! Why did you do that, Petra? Don’t you realize that it’s a violation to enter an Alpha’s room? You not only broke into his room, but you also stole something, and now you’ve wrongly accused him?”

Harvey’s eyes were filled with amazement. When Petra witnessed his acting, her mouth gaped at how expertly he exposed her theft of the surrogacy contract! Her blood started to boil, causing her to lose control.

“Harvey, you traitor!” She shrieked, raising her hand to smack him, but Iris shoved her away aggressively just as she was going to slap him.

“Don’t you dare to touch my mate,” the beautiful bride growled at the other woman.

“He is my brother?” Petra claimed, glaring at Iris.

“Now that the wedding is over, Harvey is nothing to you!” Iris declared, looking over her shoulder at her mate who walked over to his sister.

“Yes, Petra, we are now nothing to each other. I hope you remember what I said during Zander’s wedding. When I marry Iris, I intend to sever my relationship and sibling bond with you. So, from now on, you’re a complete stranger to me.

Don’t come to me hoping for support since you are the one who has put yourself in this situation. Who told you to accuse Alpha Xavier in this way? I won’t allow you to pull me into this mess. I don’t know fvcking*g anything,” Harvey stated, witnessing his sister’s eyes grow larger while she stepped back in surprise.

He had truly ended his relationship with her because of his tiny whorish mate! On top of that, he stole the contract.

How could he have done this to her? She had just learned the depth of her sibling’s treachery. She believed that he had stolen it, but he refused to confess to the crime.

She glared at her brother in disbelief, continuing to back up until she felt something behind her. Petra’s feet came to a halt when her back slammed into something hard. When she turned to face what had stopped her, it turned out to be none other than Xavier. He had crossed his arms over his chest from the beginning, maintaining a calm and silent demeanor.

But now he was so close to her that she could see every detail of his handsome yet devilish face. The Alpha took a deep breath while tucking both hands in his pockets.

“Miscarriages, contracts, money, surrogacy?” He chuckled, listing off her false allegations.

“I bet poor Petra has lost her mind,” Xavier spoke in a sympathetic yet sarcastic tone. A sinister grin flashed over his l!ps, which had been on her l!ps just moments ago but now angered her.

“l am not crazy! | was in possession of the surrogacy contract. You know that Xavier!” She shrieked, glaring at him before she turned to face the elders.

“All of you have to believe me! Your Alpha Prince is nothing but a hypocrite. He is cheating the Alpha King and kingdom! He is a criminal!” She growled at everyone who looked perplexed.

The King’s elders knew that Xavier was cunning, and Petra’s eyes revealed her eagerness to bring down her ex, but she couldn’t prove it. Her brother had said that he had no idea about the contract. When her own brother had turned his back on her:, then how could she expect their assistance?

“l apologize to everyone. I want to reveal that Petra began acting strangely right after the rejection. She also began to use drugs as a way to cope with stress and desperation, which caused her to lose touch with reality.

I thought she would eventually pull herself out of it, but I’ve since given up hope. She’s gone completely insane,” Alpha Harvey confessed with mournful eyes. Iris nodded as she placed her hand on his shoulder.

“What!” Petra was stunned by what her brother had said.

What the fvck was he doing?!

“Don’t worry, Petra. I know what you are going through,” her brother added, while looking at Stephen.

“She has been having hallucinations quite often lately and has even attacked us at times. It appears to be one of the

side effects of her drug use,” he admitted sorrowfully.

Everyone’s eyes snapped back to Petra, who was growling.

“What the fvck you are saying, Harvey!” She hissed, intending to break his neck. How could he possibly lie to her face? That fvcking*g tratorious bastard! She had never used drugs. She certainly wasn’t crazy!

“Oh my, Petra has been taking drugs?” Xavier cupped her cheeks tenderly, forcing her to gaze into his eyes, which astonished her. It was fantastic to feel his warm touch on her cheeks after two long years.

“Did the rejection break you that badly, Petra? Are you sure that you have gotten treatment for that drug? I hope it is not the same one that you had mixed into Kiara’s drink, Petra. I could save my mate but I wonder how you will survive.” He wondered worriedly and then threw a smile that tell her an indirect message.

Petra’s mouth was wide open. He had been acting like a good and kind Alpha in front of others. So he had not replied to any of her bad words till now! In reality, he was the king of this game.

“Don’t fvcking*g lie! I know Kiara and your pup are dead!

No one can survive that drug!” She smacked his hands away in aggravation, but smirked because she knew that Xavier had lost his soulmate. He had no right to play with her. They were all pretending that Kiara was in the room with morning sickness. fvck their act!

She would shove it in their faces but that was when she saw Xavier’s l!ps curve into an evil smile that made her anxious. What had gone wrong? When she recounted the death of his beloved, he should have been devastated. So why was he giving her that wicked grin?

Slowly, her brown eyes darted along the corridor, attracting everyone’s attention and astonishment. Why were they staring at her like that? The elders that had been on her side were now enraged and looked ready to murder her where she stood.

“Wait a minute! You drugged Luna Kiara? You wanted to kill our Luna and her unborn pup?” Stephen questioned her about this fact. His question evoked chills down Petra’s spine as she had inadvertently revealed that she had committed the crime of murdering Luna and her unborn pup. Lena, the elders, and even the unranked wolves gave her a withering glare that reminded her of the day she was thrown on the floor during the rejection ceremony and made to confess her sins against Xavier.

Petra raised her gaze to meet Xavier’s gleaming stare. His smile darkened, letting her know she had fallen into his trap!

He fooled her into confessing her crimes in front of the elders and other pack members. This was the reason he had been so calm since the beginning. Petra realized that she was the stupidest person in the world.

She had thought she had played Xavier and Kiara from the start, but in truth she had been the one who had gotten played. She now realized how the surrogacy contract may have vanished.

Kiara had been talking with Harvey in the pub the night before. To anyone watching them, they seemed to be joking around. Everyone was too busy dancing and drinking to notice them. Petra had no idea that at that moment that cunning b***h Kiara had included Harvey in her scheme.

She had taken a gamble on Harvey by disclosing the surrogacy contract, the present threat to the Pack, and Petra’s plans. He had listened intently to her. Kiara asked him to steal the surrogacy contract from Petra under any circ.umstances and hand it over to Xavier without anyone’s knowledge. He had the option of accepting or rejecting the offer right away.

Alpha Harvey had shaken hands with the young Luna after a few seconds of deliberation. She had advised Harvey to consider the Blue Moon Pack’s future relationship with the Sirius Bright Pack. She had also offered him the twins’ good side and support, which would be very beneficial to Harvey in the future.

The soon-to-be Alpha didn’t want any hostility with his mate’s pack in the future due to Petra’s insane and nasty vengeance, which was completely pointless in Harvey’s opinion. As a result, he had agreed with Kiara. Kiara’s plan had called for him to steal then switch the contract from his sister’s pocket before handing it over to Xavier in the morning.

Xavier had been just as unaware of Kiara and Harvey’s agreement until that morning. She hadn’t had time to explain it to her mate since she was high on that drug, but as soon as the Alpha had gotten the contract, he changed his plan and turned the table on Petra!

When Petra mentioned the contract, he pretended to be terrified, furious, and worried the entire time, but in reality she was losing face in front of everyone. They were all calling her insane now! She had ended up humiliating herself rather than Xavier.

On top of that, now she had dug her own grave by mentioning the drug that she had put in Kiara’s drink!

“How could you do that, Petra?!” One of the king’s elders shouted. This commotion did not frighten her in the least, instead it filled her with excitement. Petra had once again become the center of attention. She cast her lovely gaze around the hallway once more, admiring everyone’s angry, frustrated, and helpless state.

So these people were shocked and enraged to learn that she had slipped a deadly drug into Kiara’s drink? And Xavier believed that by ecl!psing the crime of contract theft with that of her drugs case, he may have caused Petra’s downfall.

She chuckled.

“Do you have proof, Xavier?” She crossed her hands over her chest, smirking at her ex.

“A stranger handed me your surrogacy contract, the one that you wisely had changed. And all I said was that a drug killed your mate and pup because, as everyone is aware, pregnant women canhot survive having any drugs introduced to their systems. It’s only common sense. That does not imply that I am guilty. Don’t blame me for losing the two of them.” Petra countered, successfully defending herself.

She was too proud to reveal that she had been the one who murdered Xavier’s heir in Kiara’s womb, but she chose to wait because her fun had only just begun. She was the one who had endured two years of humiliation on her own.

So if Harvey or the rest of the world stood with Xavier, then she was going to fight back and she was not going to stop until there was nothing left of her enemies’ but blood and ashes.

“Do you have any evidence and witnesses?” She raised her brow, leaving her enemy helpless. She was already aware that they had gone through the CCTV footage and they could easily use it against

her.

So she had sent one of her wolves to destroy it, leaving her enemies in distress that they had a chance to win against her, but they failed.

“How about the victim testifying herself?” The click of sandals clicking against the tiles was followed by a booming authoritative voice echoing through the hallway. Stephen smiled as the other elders turned to face the woman.

When Petra noticed Kiara, her eyes widened in disbelief. fvck! What the hell was she doing here? She should have died by now.

She walked towards them looking completely fine to stand next to Xavier, exuding the aura of a powerful couple.

“Where were you, baby?” Xavier asked, pulling her into a k!ss.

“I was waiting for you in bed, as you instructed. But I had to come here” she k!ssed him back and winked. The young Luna clasped her mate’s hand and smiled at Petra, who was staring at her bump.

“Last night in the publ was drugged by this woman. I was about to lose my baby and my life. The Doctor was able to save me at the last moment. Fortunately, I am able to come here to testify about her crimes,” Kiara explained, concealing the truth that it had been Cole, not the Doctor, that had healed her with a herbal remedy.

“Petra tried to kill me,” the others gasped. Kiara’s words had frightened everyone. Petra had been the one who had been saying that Kiara and her pup were dead since the beginning.

But now that the young Luna had testified against Petra, it was evident who had been behind the entire conspiracy. Kiara heard everyone’s murmurs and turned to confront the elders who had been acting

like d*ckheads by siding with Petra only moments ago.

“Now what I want is, the head of this woman and the people who stood against Xavier and me!” She declared, scaring all the old wolves as they now had to prepare for the consequences of their actions. The Alpha smiled evilly, placing a k!ss on his mate’s cheeks. That was what he wanted to hear.

Every word that had come out of her mouth fell on Petra’s ears like a hoarse echo from which she could not fully understand, as her astonished eyes were still on her protruding baby bump. The conspiracy that she had set in place to kill Kiara and her blessed child had been completely ruined. The woman who should have been buried in the grave by now, stood in front of everyone, completely healthy with her unborn pup! How was this fvcking”g possible?!
