Alpha King’s pregnant Ex-Luna

82

Alpha Kilian observed from the shadows, his gaze shifting away. His dark brown eyes held a hint of complex emotion, glimmering in the moonlight.

“Fear not. They assured us that Nelly will recover,” Ben cooed reassuringly from beside him.

But Donna couldn’t stem her tears.

“Do not worry, Donna. Your mother will be alright, no need to fret,” Alpha Wade soothed as he approached them.

To everyone’s surprise, Donna lifted her head, her tiny voice trembling. “I am heartbroken, Gramps. Nelly has never been this wounded before.”

Alpha Wade was taken aback. She is right. Nelly has always been a strong mother and resilient granddaughter. Never before have I witnessed her in such a vulnerable state… she would shield her children from any sickness or trouble.

“It will be alright. Everything will pass,” Alpha Wade promised.

“Come now, Donna. Gramps will be heartbroken if you continue to cry,” said Ben.

Though he, too, was brokenhearted and burdened with pain, he had to be the pillar of emotional support as the eldest son.

His words managed to calm Donna’s sobs.

At that moment, Alpha Kilian spoke up. “Old Mr. Jackson, it will take time for her to awaken. I have arranged a room right beside this one for everyone. You should take the children there to rest.”

Alpha Wade scowled. “No need for that. I will stay here with Nelly.”

“I want to stay too,” Donna chimed in.

“I will not leave either,” added Ben.

It was evident how deeply they worried, loved, and relied on Nelly.

Alpha Kilian could almost envision the beauty and happiness of their family when they were together. And I was never a part of it…

Alpha Kilian turned his attention to Alpha Wade. “Old Mr. Jackson, the children are young and still growing. Are you truly fine with them staying here?”

Undeniably, Alpha Kilian knew exactly what to say as he struck a nerve.

Alpha Wade turned to the kids and commanded, “Donna, Ben, go to the other room and rest. I will watch over your mother, and that will suffice.”

“But…” Donna hesitated.

“Either follow my orders, or the two of you can return home and rest there,” Alpha Wade said firmly, leaving no room for negotiation.

“Okay then,” Donna reluctantly agreed, not wanting to leave her parents behind. She had to compromise.

Her reluctance was understandable, as she could see both her parents in the room. It was only natural for a child to want to stay.

Alpha Wade then turned his attention to Ben. “Take your little sister to the other room and get some sleep.”

Understanding that it was not up for debate, Ben nodded. “Alright, Gramps.”

Alpha Wade shifted his gaze to Alpha Kilian. Reluctantly, he said, “You should go look after them.”

Alpha Kilian nodded.

Donna and Ben obediently left with Alpha Kilian.

Upon reaching the door, however, Alpha Wade suddenly issued a warning. “Alpha Kilian, those children mean everything to Nelly. Do not entertain any inappropriate thoughts, or I will tear you apart, even if it costs me my old bones.”

Alpha Kilian glanced at the kids briefly before assuring, “Do not worry. I am not that depraved and shall not stoop to such lows.”

Alpha Wade did not bother looking at Alpha Kilian again, and the latter left with the kids.

In the adjacent room…

Alpha Kilian led the children into a tidy room with two beds.

Turning to them, he instructed, “Get some sleep here. I will come fetch you when your mother wakes.”

The children nodded in unison.

Donna suddenly reached out and grasped Alpha Kilian’s hand as he turned to leave.

As her small, chubby hand touched his, a newfound emotion swelled within Alpha Kilian’s heart.

He stared at the child.

“Mr. Handsome, I need help getting on the bed,” Donna said in her adorable voice. She noticed the beds were a little too tall for her to climb onto independently.

Understanding her request, Alpha Kilian felt his heartstrings tugged by her cute, chubby face.

Crouching down, he lifted her up and carefully placed her on the bed.

“Thank you, Mr. Handsome,” Donna said with a smile.

Alpha Kilian grinned at her before shifting his gaze to Ben.

Ben promptly declared, “I can manage,” and effortlessly bounded onto the bed.

Alpha Kilian stared, unsure of what to say.

Everything was uncertain, and despite it making perfect sense, he dared not be too certain or happy until he received the test results.

“Rest well, children. I will check on the situation,” Alpha Kilian said, rising from the bed and leaving promptly.

He had so much to say to them, so many questions to ask, but he did not know if they were aware of the hidden drama. He was unsure how they saw him, how they felt about him.

I must gather a clearer picture and give them space and time.

Once Alpha Kilian left, Ben turned to Donna.

“Isn’t that a bit too obvious?” Ben remarked.

“No, it isn’t,” Donna denied.

Ben rolled his eyes. “Do not let him think we will accept him so easily. It would break Nelly’s heart.”

“Do you think he knows we are his children?” Donna asked.

Ben pondered for a moment before replying, “I believe so. The way he looks at us is rather peculiar.”

“I think so too.”

“For now, let us not dwell on that. Everything will become clear once Nelly awakens tomorrow,” Ben reassured. “We should send a message to Tony. He should not worry about us.”

Donna nodded.

On the other side…

Tony arrived at the designated spot, dressed entirely in black. Even his hat was black.

A small crowd gathered nearby, as it was close to the Moonwalk pack’s center.

When Tony saw the message from Ben, his worries subsided.

He glanced at the black car in front of him, verifying that it matched the one in Thalia’s photo. Confident in his assessment, Tony approached the car, ensuring there was no mistake.

He knocked on the door.

Thalia was engrossed in her phone, playing a game. She glanced around when she heard the knock but saw no one, so she returned her attention to her game.

Tony knocked once more.

Thalia caught the sound and scanned her surroundings, still unable to spot anyone.Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

What the hell? It’s so late… Is something supernatural out there?

Though not superstitious, Thalia couldn’t help but feel a sense of unease. She decided against rolling down the window.

Just then, Tony hopped up, revealing his small head. “Open the door.”
