“There are different ways they could have taken her. I don’t think they kidnapped her, though. They couldn’t do that in our territory. Maybe they tricked her,” Tony said darkly. Ben found his words reasonable.

Thalia chimed in, puzzled. “But why would they take Nelly with them?”

Uncertain, Tony felt a sense of urgency building up inside him.

After thinking for a while, Ben slowly spoke up. “Did they do it because Nelly was investigating Granddad’s death? Or maybe it’s just a simple revenge?”

“Revenge?” Thalia scrunched up her face in confusion.

Turning to her, Ben explained, “We took their goods on our territory, but Midnight Fang Pack probably thought it was Daddy who took them. So they might be seeking revenge against Daddy.”

“That could make sense, but isn’t it too complicated? If they wanted revenge, they could have just killed Nelly,” Thalia countered.

“Maybe they didn’t get a chance to,” Ben replied.

Thalia wasn’t convinced. “You really think those outlaws couldn’t find a chance to kill her?” Tony and Ben remained silent.

Moonwalk Pack was under Alpha Kilian’s territory, making it difficult to take action. However, they could still find a way if they tried hard enough.

“Unless they’re after something else,” Thalia murmured, deep in thought. Tony and Ben exchanged guilty looks.
