Chapter 9: Very soon, my love

It had been two days since I had been locked in this room. I had refused to eat, rejected every delicious

meal coming towards me. Now that he didn't have anything to threat me with, I was gonna use that

opportunity to the full extent.

Through these two days, I had been forced to think of what my life had come upto. Six months ago, if

someone would have told me that I would get kidnapped by some psycho person, I would have died

laughing.

But thats whats life. It really is unpredictable. It surprises you at the moments you least expect it to. But

what I had learned from my past was that everything happens for a reason and most of the time that

reason is a good one.

I really hoped escaping from this psycho would give me a greater sense of independence. Make me

feel like I was strong.

But that was only if I escaped.

My thoughts were interrupted as I heard the door open. And there he was infront of me.

The man I despised.

But this time there was something different. He looked exhausted. There were bags under his eyes, the

buttons of his shirt were undone and his hair was all messy. He looked completely opposite of the

image of perfection he had seemed to portray.

But I was not going to let this distract me.

Not this time.

His eyes met mine and I immediately took out the piece of glass I had been hiding under my pillow.

"Don't come near me, I warn you!" I said as I ran towards the opposite corner and placed the sharp

glass onto my wrist.

His eyes immediately darkened at my move and he raked a hand through his hair.

"I think this threat has gotten quite old mate." He said calmly.

"Test me then, I promise to dissapoint you." I smirked.

"Don't Leena." He commanded putting pressure on my name. And immediately my body tensed.

He really did have an effect on me.

"Why don't you tell me once and for all what do you want from me?" I asked raising my voice.

"You." He stated calmly as if he had memorised all the answers.

"That's not how love works." I snap.

"That's how mates work." He replied.

"What the hell is a mate now?" I growled.

"A soul mate." He replied.

"I don't believe in soul mates." I snapped.

"I don't care" He said, his eyes turning a little darker.

"Let me put your craziness into words Arlos. You want me to quit my whole career, sacrifice all of my

dreams and settle with a man who was a stranger to me until just some days!" I yelled.

"Well if that's how you put it. And your career won't be sacrificed, I have talked with your university and

they have allowed-"

"What? What right do you have to talk to my university?" I snapped.

"They have agreed to allow you to complete the remaining six months of your degree virtually." He

stated ignoring my question.

I moved back. The tears in my eyes were on the verge of coming out. I was beyond annoyed, I wanted

to slap that man so hard.

"Look let me make this clear." I started wiping my tears.

"I'm still not over my last relationship till now and at the moment I'm not interested in being in any

relationship, be it you or anyone else." I said.

And upon this his eyes turned black. Pure black. He closed his fists and started moving towards me.

"Don't. Don't you dare come near me!" I yelled.

But it seemed to have no affect on him.

"You are fucking telling me that another man has been able to touch whats mine?" He growled.

His voice was so authorative that my whole body started to shake. Low growls were coming from him

as he continued to take slow steps towards me.

I didn't want to do it. I was not suicidal. I had only kept that piece of glass to protect me. But at that

moment I had no choice.

Either I was to be killed by that man or kill myself.

And I preferred the second option. So without thinking I slashed the piece of glass upon my wrist.

The last thing I heard before I fell into darkness was his growl.

The first thing I felt was the sun rays upon my face as I opened my eyes.

Great I'm not dead.

I squinted my eyes to look around the hospital room I was in and my eyes immediately narrowed to the

blur figure of the young lady who I presume was a nurse standing near the door.

"Oh good gracious! Thank god you are awake luna. I must summon the alpha right away." She yelled.

I closed my eyes. I was not ready for this. Not now. I was exhausted. I had no courage to fight at the

moment.

But who cares if I'm ready or not because within the next minute I felt the door opened.

I immediately closed my eyes.

"Leave us alone miss Rose." I heard his voice and immediately those sparks started to erupt.

I felt his presence come closer as he sat next to me. His bought his hand forward and brushed it with

mine.

"I know you are awake." He whispered.

"I am aware." I whispered snapped.

If that was an actual thing.

And I immediately regretted it. I don't know what was about him but as much as his presence

dominated me, it also ignited a deep urge in me to argue with him and to somehow prove to him that I

was not gonna submit to him.

"I do not appreciate what you did." I heard him growl.

"And trust me this is the last time I have forgiven you." He commanded as I felt him grip my hand.

"I don't need your-" I started to speak.

But he immediately cut me off.

"Today I'm gonna talk and you are gonna litsen, understand little mate?" He said as he tightened his

grip on my hand.

"Now I'm gonna give you six months. Six months to settle here and accept your position as my queen-"

At this I opened my eyes and looked directly into his.

I kind of forgot how handsome he was.

"And if by then you are unable to settle here, I shall let you go. One day before your graduation. You

can go and live your life as you please. I won't disturb you ever again."

"I don't accept this." I try saying but it only comes out as a whisper.

"I didn't ask you, my love. I told you." He stated as he trailed his finger lightly across my face.

"Fuck you." I growled.

"Very soon, my love." He whispered as he stood up and turned around.

I knew he was trying to hide his amusement.

And I hated it.
