All too late for his love

Chapter 125

Lakecoast epitomized opulence in Havenpoint and was known as one of the most prestigious villa areas.

Nestled in the heart of the city, where space was at a premium, countless individuals toiled for generations without ever dreaming of affording such grandeur. The expansive Lakecoast Villa district was exclusively owned by the Carter Group.

Zayn's villa, where he usually resided, boasted nearly five thousand square feet of space, an impressive estate by any measure.

Meanwhile, Tyson's villa dwarfed even that, sprawling over ten thousand square feet. As Kenan navigated his way in, it took him considerable time to reach the living room.

Willow couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the sheer opulence of the villa.

It wasn't until Kenan guided her inside and she spotted Zayn and Skyler lounging in the living room, alongside Zayn's parents, Tyson and Wynn, as well as his older brother Theodore and sister Celeste-

whom she had previously only seen in magazines-that she realized where she was.

Kenan had always been like family to Theodore and Celeste since childhood. Their bond was as tight as any siblings'. So, when Celeste returned home, he naturally felt the urge to visit.

Kenan had his own agenda too. He understood that even if Zayn and Skyler tied the knot, Zayn wouldn't simply let Willow go.

Knowing Zayn's strong emphasis on family, if Kenan's relationship with Willow gained acceptance from the rest of the Carter family, Zayn would surely be embarrassed to persist in pursuing her.

Zayn's mother, Wynn Yates, was a highly respected figure in the field of medicine, particularly renowned for her extensive research on malignant tumors.

Her expertise expanded internationally, solidifying her position as a leading authority in the medical community.

When Kenan saw Wynn, he rushed over and grabbed Willow's right hand.

"Aunt Wynn, do you have any effective ointments? Willow's hurting pretty bad from an injury, and I need to get her some relief fast."

Having weathered many storms in her life, Wynn could instantly tell from Kenan's urgency that the young woman he had brought along meant a lot to him.

At that moment, she couldn't help but sneak a few more glances at Willow.

The more she looked at Willow, the more she found herself liking her. There was just something about Willow that made her feel a sense of warmth and familiarity, compelling her to want to get closer to her and know her better.

"Sure, I'll grab it for you upstairs," Wynn replied.

In no time, Wynn was back with two bottles of ointment. She passed a white porcelain bottle to Kenan, Chapte 125

Then, she took the emerald green bottle and added, "And use this on her forehead. Just keep applying it regularly, and she won't have any scars later on."

Upon hearing Wynn's words, Willow instinctively reached up to touch the wound on her forehead. It was such a deep cut that she had assumed it would surely leave a scar, but now she felt hopeful that it might not leave any mark at all.

Even though she didn't have much time left, women always cared about their appearance. Being able to heal the wound on her forehead was an unexpected surprise for her.

"Thanks, Aunt Wynn!" Kenan smiled warmly as he took Willow's hand and carefully applied the ointment.

Willow wasn't used to having someone else apply medicine for her, especially not in front of so many people. She instinctively tried to pull her hand back, but Kenan's grip was too strong for her to break free.

As the cool ointment was applied to her hand, it felt soothing. Yet, there was a sharp, piercing gaze fixated on her hand, as if it someone wanted to puncture holes into it.

Willow lifted her eyes and, sure enough, Zayn was staring at her hand with a dark expression.

She couldn't help but find it amusing. Was this possessiveness at play? Was he unable to tolerate seeing someone else treating something he considered his own with care?

Disregarding Zayn's twisted thoughts, Willow lowered her gaze and observed as Kenan delicately traced circles on her hand, ensuring the ointment was evenly absorbed.

"Willow, is it still hurting?" Kenan asked with genuine concern after finishing the application of the ointment.

Willow found it kind of strange. There was always this sense of fatherly affection she felt whenever she was around Kenan, as if he was filling a void in her life.
