After Divorcing my Captain Husband (Chloe and Michael)

Chapter 603 Same Goal

As Vicky and Asher were heading upstairs, Marvin and Luna were in another elevator.

Luna glanced at Marvin and asked, "Are you really sure Chloe is your aunt?"

Marvin nodded. "I already showed you the DNA report. It's pretty clear."Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

Luna raised an eyebrow. "I'm just surprised because Chloe looks so young. It's hard to believe there might not be a mistake." She'd never have guessed that Marvin and Chloe could be from different generations.

"It's about family hierarchy, not age."

Even if Chloe were only ten, she was still his aunt.

"I get it. I've just never seen a family situation like this before."

After all, her family didn't have such complicated relationships.

"What if Chloe doesn't believe it or doesn't want to come back to the Miller family? What will you do then?"

Marvin sighed, "You're really full of questions today."

"Well, considering how the Miller family treated Chloe and her mother in the past, it makes sense if she doesn't want to come back. I was just curious. No need to get so worked up!" Marvin was getting annoyed, but now Luna was clearly upset.

Seeing her pout and turn away, Marvin quickly coaxed, "Alright, alright, don't be mad. I didn't mean to snap at you."

Amanda was supposed to join them today, but since she found Chloe, she needed to go back and inform the family. So, she had to leave Marvin to find Chloe on his own.

He was already feeling unsure about the whole situation, and with all of Luna's questions, it was getting overwhelming.

"If you take me out for a meal later, I'll be happy," Luna said with a playful smile, making her request.

"Sure, my treat."

The elevator dinged, and they both stepped out onto their floor.

Chloe was busy discussing company details with James, trying to get a clearer picture of a new deal he mentioned.

Meanwhile, Maggie was hanging out with Michael outside. She kept stealing glances at him, looking like she was about to speak but hesitated every time.

After a lot of internal struggles, Maggie finally walked up to him. "Mr. Shawn, you want to win back your ex-wife, don't you?"

Michael looked at her, confused.

"I want to get back together with James, and you want to reconcile with Ms. Nelson. Since we both want the same thing, why don't we help each other out?" Michael raised an eyebrow, starting to see where this was going.

"And what exactly do you want me to do?"

"I want you to bring Ms. Nelson back to the country and make sure she stays away from James."

Maggie's only plan was to prevent James from seeing Chloe.

Even though she thought the child Chloe was carrying might be James', she didn't care if the child was without its father.

Michael was expecting a more practical suggestion, but this request threw him off.

He frowned. "Sorry, but I can't agree to that."

Maggie was stunned. "Why not? Don't you want to be with Chloe?"

Michael had the influence to manage things in the country. If he wanted to keep Chloe away from James, it would be straightforward. Maggie didn't get why he wouldn't go along with it.

"I don't want to limit her freedom," Michael said firmly.

He wanted to be with Chloe and felt jealous of seeing her with other men.

But he didn't want to force her to stay away from James.

He wanted her to be happy and do what she wanted. If, despite everything, she still wanted to give him a chance, that would be enough for him.

He didn't want to selfishly deny her the chance to interact with others, no matter how it affected his chances with her.

Maggie opened her mouth but found herself speechless.
