Chapter 792
Chapter 792
At this moment in Middle Evroya, Harold was listening to his subordinates report on all the news related
to Isabelle.
"What did you say? She gave up?"
"Yes."
"How could she give up halfway? She has always been ranked second, and is my biggest competitor.
Since Sylvia left, her growth rate has been extremely fast, and her reputation among women is very
high. Plus, she comes from the President's family and always does things that benefit women."
Harold looked through everything Isabelle had done in the past few months.
"The campaign to promote girls' education has greatly accelerated our society's development.
Especially since many families used to refuse to let their daughters go to school." He pointed at
another item on the list. "The Maternal and Child Protection Association also set up a financial charity
foundation managed by a woman named Sierra who is Isabelle's right-hand man. Starting this year,
this foundation will allocate funds twice a year in spring and autumn to support impoverished students."
"Sylvia's ambitions are not small," Harold said as he closed the file folder.
"If someone like her had any ulterior motives, I'm afraid the whole world would tremble because of it.
Fortunately... she holds great ideals."
He shook his head involuntarily with a low laugh.
"I fully support Isabelle and help her ascend to Prime Minister position. If I become president one day,
she will be my greatest ally; I believe that working together with her will bring unprecedented prosperity
for our country."
His subordinates were stunned by Harold's decision.
"Mr. Harold... is this really okay?"
"Of course it's good! Only by following Sylvia closely can we secure our benefits. Franklin controls new
energy, Darius controls aviation. And Isabelle receives care from Sylvia. Do you not understand how
these interests are intertwined?"
Harold stood up; his tall figure came over beside the window looking out at blue sky white clouds, and
took a deep breath.
"You mean now that Isabella no longer cares about becoming president, you just need to win over her,
and then win over all of her supporters behind-the-scenes?" His subordinate asked carefully while
swallowing saliva nervously.
"Yes," replied Harold confidently, "As long as we win over Isabelle, it means we have won Franklin,
Dariusand even more powerful people behind them."
"You've been following me around for so many years, and it wasn't for nothing," Harold nodded. "So...
since Isabelle gave up this time, we must help her get what she wants."
"I understand," the subordinate immediately replied. "I'll take care of it."
Inside the Vienna hotel, the final round of the piano competition was about to begin.
Out of all the events, only the piano competition progressed quickly and was about to enter its final
round.
In order to promote friendship, the organizers held a grand banquet in their hotel's banquet hall.
Early in the morning, they began setting up for the banquet - everything was beautifully decorated with
an elegant atmosphere.
At seven o'clock that evening, guests started arriving at the banquet hall one by one.
The entrance of the hall had a sign-in table where guests could check in with their invitations. Mrs.
Ritter took Ashlyn on a tour around inside after signing in together.
"Come on, let me introduce you to some big names in music," Mrs. Ritter said excitedly. Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
This was an excellent opportunity for networking and building relationships.
Ashlyn obediently followed behind her mother.
Mother and daughter were dressed beautifully today - Ashlyn wore a watercolor pink evening gown
with sequins at her waist that made her waist look even slimmer.
Mrs. Ritter wore a dark red dress that exuded an air of authority due to her long-standing position within
society.
However, on occasions like this today she had no choice but to tone down her usual strong demeanor
and wear a gentle smile while greeting people everywhere she went.
"Mom... I think I see Sylvia over there too."
Ashlyn caught sight of Sylvia and Jenna walking into the banquet hall from out of corner-of-her-eye
view; Jenna's dress was light blue which complemented well against her extremely pale skin
complexion. It was said that it is latest high-end custom-made design from Dior but limited globally only
three pieces available yet Jenna managed have one piece already!
Sylvia's shirt looked simple yet perfectly tailored which showed off its great design sense; there is only
one piece available worldwide... how did it end up being worn by Sylvia?
Initially Ashlyn thought that wearing such high-end clothing would make herself feel superior but now
compared alongside Sylvia and Jenna's attire made hers seem like trash instead!
The feeling of superiority vanished instantly.
"Don't mind them, come with me. I'll take you to Mr. Guzman," Mrs. Ritter said after hearing Sylvia's
name, her face immediately dropping.
But she reminded herself that she didn't attend the banquet to settle scores with Sylvia and forced a
smile as if she hadn't seen her.
She walked elegantly towards Mr. Guzman not far away.
She pinched her fingertips tightly, pursing her red lips together.
She had to force herself to smile because she would be meeting Mr. Guzman soon - he was going to
be her piano teacher in the future, a stepping stone for further international recognition.
These few steps felt like a century but finally, Ashlyn arrived in front of Mr. Guzman who was standing
next to Allie laughing about something that Ashlyn couldn't hear clearly from afar.
He smiled slightly which softened his serious expression making him less intimidating than before when
Mrs. Ritter called out softly "Allie."
Allie glanced at Mrs. Ritter then back at Mr. Guzman, saying, "I'm telling him that Ashlyn is my daughter
and asking him to look after her more."
Mr. Guzman nodded upon hearing this and looked at Ashlyn's pretty face, saying, "I remember you
playing well during the qualifying rounds; good enough for me as my apprentice."
Mrs. Ritter felt secretly happy upon hearing this but having been exposed to many big events before
kept calm knowing it wasn't something small enough for one's head getting dizzy over it so easily
"Mr. Guzman, don't worry; I will definitely hold a grand apprenticeship ceremony so everyone around
the world knows you have taken on an apprentice," said Mrs. Ritter confidently while trying not too hard
not show off too much excitement inside
"After all, it is my honor as your student."
Ashlyn couldn't contain herself anymore. "Teacher! I will study hard!"
"The apprenticeship ceremony can wait; first bring me back the championship trophy from this final,"
replied Mr. Guzman with a slight smile.
It wasn't easy becoming his apprentice- one needed some talent or skill level high enough- If they
couldn't even win a championship then they weren't worthy of being his apprentice either way
Although he didn't have the same level of fame as Louis, his position in the piano world was not
something that just anyone could attain. If it weren't for Louis taking a liking to Sylvia as president, he
would be the successor right now!
With a dark look in his eyes, he scanned Sylvia and Louis at the corner of the party.
Louis stood tall next to Sylvia, saying something she couldn't hear. And then he saw Clare walking
towards them with a glass of red wine.
Clare? He didn't expect him to be on Sylvia and Louis' side too?
Mr. Guzman felt angry inside.
Meanwhile, Clare approached Sylvia with his glass raised. "Miss Andrews! Long time no see."
Sylvia raised an eyebrow as she examined this man standing before her - she remembered how
stylishly dressed he used to be. Especially with that small tuft of dyed hair on his forehead... how had
things changed so much since they last met?
His once fair skin had turned wheat-colored and looked more toned than before; overall, this
gentlemanly piano prince had transformed into an iron-blooded man oozing male hormones from head
to toe.
The change was too drastic!
Clare smirked; his overflowing masculinity almost filled up the entire hall and caught many female
guests' attention - their hearts beating wildly.
He even sent out flirtatious glances one after another...
"Recently I've been following my family's arrangements," Clare said proudly while laughing charmingly.
"I became commander-in-chief because I'm simply too talented! I also have great aptitude for flying
planes; after spending a year training there, I became commander-in-chief directly."
Sylvia's eyes flickered slightly at hearing this news.
"Mr. Hipps is really shameless," said Louis mischievously. "How come I heard you have an assistant
named Mollie Gibson who always tortures you?"
Clare blushed slightly but couldn't show it.
"Don't joke around like that," Clare replied defensively while shaking his head dismissively."She's just
my assistant; I'm still commander-in-chief!"
Just then, a man dressed in black rushed over and whispered something into Clare's ear causing him
to turn pale instantly: "What did you say? There are problems at that factory?"
"Yes. The contract that Tammy and Skyla signed initially had problems, which led to the current
situation," the man said in a low voice. "You were drugged by them at first, and they stole your seal...
so..."
"I understand. Tomorrow is the final of the piano competition, and I am a judge who cannot be absent.
You stabilize the situation first, and let me handle it properly when I return tomorrow night," Clare
whispered her instructions before the man nodded heavily and turned to leave.
However, his mood instantly hit rock bottom.
Was Hipps Family going to have trouble?
Louis and Sylvia both noticed Clare's change in complexion but didn't say anything to inquire about it.
