Addicted to Luring – Mister, Please Behave

Chapter 94: I Don’t Want to Argue with You Anymore

Wendy cried as she ran downstairs. She accidentally tripped over something and her knee hit the stairs.

She let out a cry of pain, and Rex immediately walked up to her. Seeing this, he squatted down and wanted to help her up.

“Go away! Don’t touch me!” Wendy wanted to push him away, but her wrist was suddenly grabbed and she couldn’t move at all.

“It’s very likely that your bones have been injured. If you make any more movements, be careful of being disabled,” Rex said in a warning tone.

Rex moved her body and the pain suddenly intensified. She had no choice but to say, “I can’t stand up anymore.”

In the past, she would have cried already. But now, she was unwilling to show her weakness in front of him. She was afraid that her weakness would only make her a laughing stock in his eyes.

With a soft sigh, Rex suddenly turned into a different person. He walked up to her, squatted down, and said, “Come up.”

Wendy did not reply and she stared blankly at him.

“If you don’t come up now, you can leave by yourself.”

“If you’re going to do it, then do it. Why do you sound so tough?” Wendy lied on his back, wrapped her arms around his neck, lifted her feet off the ground, and felt the broadness of his back.

How nice it would be if there were not so many messy things between them.

Rex carried Wendy on his back and walked up the stairs step by step. He was so calm that it seemed like he didn’t make a single sound.

“Why aren’t you saying anything?” Wendy rubbed her nose, a little vexed in her heart.

Rex walked out of the stairwell and the dim light shone on his exquisite profile. It was so beautiful that Wendy couldn’t look away.

It was precise because she was bewitched by this eye that she was still unable to withdraw safely until now.

He put Wendy down and gently supported her body as he asked, “Give it a try, can you walk on your own?”

Wendy lowered her head to look at her knees. Blood was oozing from the wound, but the pain wasn’t as severe. She took a few steps forward, raised her head, and said, “Yes.”

“Go to the orthopedics department.”

“Why?”

Rex picked her up directly, and Wendy couldn’t help but cry out. Then she swung her leg and said, “What are you doing? Put me down!”

“I’ll throw you to the ground right now if you cause any more trouble!” Rex’s voice pierced through the silent corridor. Wendy was so scared that she didn’t dare to speak again.

From the past until now, it seemed that he has been standing at the top and issuing instructions, which made Wendy feel very uncomfortable.

In terms of relationships, there had never been a difference between high and low. But she didn’t know that Rex was using her or truly had some feelings for her.

After Rex sent Wendy to the orthopedics department, he got up and left. Wendy didn’t stop him.

As long as Rex was willing, he could do anything he wanted in Jena City. She was just a pawn and had no right to ask where he was going.

If he wanted to leave, she was not even qualified to call out his name.

“Miss Walters, there’s nothing wrong with your leg. It’s just some superficial wounds. I’ve already applied medicine for you.”

“Oh, thank you.”

Wendy walked out and stopped in her tracks. Rex, who was leaning against the wall opposite her, looked at her.

“Are you done with the examination?”

Wendy limped over to Rex and said softly, “The doctor said that there’s no problem.”

“I’ll send you back.” Rex looked tired. Wendy’s eyes hurt and she reached out to grab him. “I’m not leaving.”

“Wendy, I don’t want to argue with you anymore.”

Don’t… argue with me again…

She opened her eyes wide and asked, “Rex, Rosaria has heart disease, right?”

Rex took a deep look at her, and the emotions in his eyes were unpredictable. He grabbed her hand and asked, “How did you know?”

Definitely.

Wendy shook off Rex’s hand and couldn’t be bothered to say anything else. She had heard everything from someone else’s ears.

“Wendy, stop right there!” Rex took a few steps forward and grabbed her wrist. “Tell me.”

“What? Are you afraid that I’ll hurt the person you love because of this?” Wendy said sourly.

“My beloved? Rosaria?”

Rex’s eyes turned cold. “Stop it! I’ve explained it many times. I only think Rosaria is my sister. As for her heart disease…”

“Enough!” Wendy covered her ears and interrupted Rex. “I don’t want to hear this anymore. Rex, the two of us have to calm down for a while. I’m really tired.”Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

Rex slowly lowered his hand and said with an indifferent tone, “Alright, if you want to calm down, then…..”

Wendy didn’t even look at him as she turned around and left. Rex’s heart felt like it was bleeding when he saw her unsteady state.

Wendy, you stupid woman!

When Clare saw Wendy walk out, he immediately got out of the car to welcome her. He then looked down at her knee and said, “Miss Walters… your leg…”

Wendy’s tone was light and weak. “It’s fine, Clare. Let’s go home.”

“Got it.”

After getting in the car, Wendy looked out of the window at the world. If she had known this would happen, why would it have tortured her until now?

Clare saw Wendy crying silently in the rearview mirror. He was so clumsy that he couldn’t speak. After thinking for a while, he asked, “Mrs. Gavyn, what’s wrong?”

“It’s nothing.” Wendy reached out a hand to wipe away her tears. “The wind is too strong, and almost makes me cry.”

The window was closed tightly. Where did the wind come from? Wendy didn’t even know how to lie. No wonder the president was so worried.

Clare stopped the car and took out a piece of paper from the side. “Mrs. Gavyn”

“Thank you,” Wendy said gently and her voice was a little hoarse. It was obvious that she had just cried.

Clare pursed his lips and said, “Miss Walters, I… I don’t know how to comfort people. Did… Did something happen?”

“No.” Wendy pursed her lips, “Just drive. I’m fine. Wait a minute.”

Wendy suddenly called for a stop. She lowered her head and said, “We’re not going home.”

“Really?”

“I’m going to my friend’s.”

20 minutes later, the car stopped in front of Daisy’s house.

“Mrs. Gavyn, is it safe here?” Clare looked out of the car at the dilapidated neighborhood and asked, “Is your friend reliable?”

Wendy nodded. “It’s fine.”

Then he called Daisy twice before she picked up the phone. Daisy’s lazy voice came from the other end of the line. “Hello? Who is that?”

“Daisy, it’s me, Wendy.”

“Wendy?” Daisy abruptly got up from the bed and immediately turned on the lights in the room. “It’s too late. Why are you calling?”

“I…” Wendy hesitated before saying, “I’m downstairs.”
