Addicted to Luring – Mister, Please Behave

Chapter 36: Am I Good-looking?

Wendy’s memories drifted away with the evening wind and she seemed to have returned to that night.

In the night, the cicadas were noisy, and the lanterns on the stacked tea mountains were dim.

Wendy burped, went out of the door in the name of taking a walk, and slipped into the tea garden in the dark.

“Hey!” A voice suddenly came out of nowhere and scared Wendy so much that she took two steps back and nearly fell into the mud.

There was a person hanging upside down on the tree outside the tea garden. Wendy was so scared that she rushed into the tea garden and stuck her head out. “Who, who, who are you?”

Rex jumped down from the tree and put his SLR camera and bag behind him. Just as he was about to step forward, he heard Wendy keep shouting, “You, you, you’re not allowed to come over!”

“If I don’t go, how can I introduce myself?” Rex asked with a faint smile. The moonlight shone on his face, and his eyes were filled with starlight.

Wendy settled down in Rex’s deep voice and a small face peeked out from the cluster of tea leaves. Her appearance was extremely adorable.Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.

Seeing that Rex didn’t look like a bad person, she slowly put down her guard and stood up. “You’re not from our village, are you?”

Rex raised his eyebrows and jumped into the tea garden easily. His movements were so smooth.

“Are you a monkey? I heard that there are many monkeys in the mountain,” Wendy said seriously as her chest heaved up and down. It looked like she had really been scared just now.

Rex smiled, and his eyes curved into crescents, making him look extremely good-looking.

Wendy’s heart thumped as if it had been hit by a small hammer. She blushed and said, “You haven’t told me your name yet.”

Rex walked over unhurriedly and said as he walked, “Didn’t you not say what your name was?”

He was not bad looking, and his glib tongue was also first-class.

Rex stopped teasing her and smiled. “My name is Rex Gavyn.”

“You can all me Wendy. My nickname is leaf rocking.”

“Leaf rocking?” Rex paused. “I heard that when make tea cakes, there’s a step called rocking of green leaf.”

Wendy instantly looked at Rex in surprise. “You actually know about this?”

“Yes, my grandmother used to be the owner of the tea garden. I have a little impression of this.”

Hearing Rex’s words, she thought he seemed to have misunderstood and she hastily explained, “I’m not the owner of this tea garden.”

“Mm. I can tell.”

“……” Wendy felt as if she was attracted. She actually felt that this Rex was quite interesting. He was blocking her way with words. There was no one in the village who could beat her when it came to words.

“What are you doing here?”

“Shoot the moon.” Rex pointed to the sky, and Wendy subconsciously looked in the direction he was pointing at. It was bright and clear, and a thin layer of moonlight covered Wendy’s face. As soon as he picked up the SLR, he saw Wendy grin. “This moon is like a big egg, and it must taste good.”

Rex was amused by her words and forgot the embarrassment. “Aren’t you afraid of coming out at night?”

“It’s nothing. I just came out for a walk and by the way……”

“By the way for what?” Rex asked with furrowed eyebrows.

“Steal some watermelons here.” Wendy said with a smile, revealing her two canine teeth. She looked even cuter than before.

Wendy said, “I haven’t asked you why you are filming the moon.”

“For fun.”

At that time, Rex had not yet stepped into the business world. His mind was still as immature as a teenager.

“What’s fun about that?”

Rex smiled but did not say anything. It was deep into the night and the stars were sparse. However, it was as if his eyes had stolen a few hundred stars and he was so dazzling that Wendy did not dare to look at him again.

The two of them were just about to plunder the watermelon fields when the rain began to fall. Even though it wasn’t heavy, it was still extremely infuriating.

Outside the tea garden, there were a few rooms for tea watchers. Without thinking, Wendy pulled Rex’s hand and ran to the room. “Hurry up!”

Rex looked at Wendy’s small hand and a pleasant smile appeared on his face as he allowed her to pull him forward.

It was only when the two of them arrived at the house that Wendy let go of her hand. She ignored Rex’s reaction and knocked directly on the door. “Uncle David, are you there?”

“Yep? Is it Wendy?” Uncle David put an arm around his waist and flipped over from the bed. He staggered out of the bed and was stunned when he opened the door.

“This is?”

Wendy didn’t have time to explain. She pulled Rex into the room, then sat down at the table with ease, picked up the teapot, poured three cups of tea, and asked them, who were standing aside in a daze, “Have a seat. Why are you standing there?”

Uncle David stroked his beard and smiled. He said to Rex. “Sit.”

“Thank you.” It could be seen that Rex was a little reserved. Under the lamplight, he looked even more delicate and pretty, and his face was red. It was unknown if he had just run out of energy or something.

Wendy looked back at Uncle David, who was tidying up the bed, and said, “I ran into him at the tea garden, and he’s from other place.”

“Oh?” Uncle David smiled. “The young man looks good.”

Rex smiled and pursed his lips without saying a word.

Wendy stuck out her tongue and stared at Rex in a daze. Suddenly, she asked several random questions.

Rex answered every question without any impatience on his face. Uncle David sat by the bed and kept smiling. Seeing that the two of them were chatting happily, he quickly opened the window and looked at the rain. He coughed softly and said, “The rain has stopped. I’m going out to see the tea garden.”

“Alright, Uncle David, please put on more clothes.”

“Got it. You’re the naggy one.”

After watching Uncle David leave, Rex held his teacup and asked, “You seem to have a good relationship with Uncle David.”

“Yes, I often come to the tea garden.”

Rex chuckled. “I think you often come to steal watermelons.”

Wendy didn’t know what to say. After all, he was telling the truth.

“Do you want to see the picture I took?” Rex broke the silence.

Wendy’s lips curled into a smile, “Sure.”

There was an old-fashioned clock hanging in the room, clicking as it walked. Wendy didn’t like the sound, but when Rex sat next to her, she began to count his eyelashes. When the clock rang, she counted one.

Rex noticed the look in Wendy’s eyes. He suddenly raised his head and asked in a gentle voice, “Am I good-looking?”

Wendy’s face was red as if something had read her mind, but she quickly realized that he was asking about photos. She quickly nodded and said, “They’re good-looking. They’re very good-looking.”

Rex beamed all of a sudden and stretched out a hand to pat Wendy’s head. “Silly girl.”

In that instant, it was as if a small firework had erupted in Wendy’s heart and it crackled and exploded all over her body.

“You’re the one who’s stupid.” Wendy tried to hide her strangeness and glanced elsewhere. Suddenly, her gaze landed on Rex’s phone.

The colorful and mysterious nebulae gathered together, flashing with a diamond-like light. As the clouds and mist permeated inside, time seemed to have been crushed and rearranged by them. There were fragmented dreams inside, dreams that Wendy would never be able to touch in her entire life.
