Addicted to Luring – Mister, Please Behave

Chapter 106 :Rex, Don’t Mess with Me

Rex paused for a moment. The coldness on his face disappeared, like silk being peeled from a cocoon, leaving behind only an inscrutable emotion.

“If you want to, that’s fine.”

Those words were most likely meant to pacify her, so Wendy naturally did not take them to heart.

What had happened during this period made her even more convinced that there would be many obstacles in her and Rex’s future. She wondered if she had the patience to face them all.

Everything was unknown.

She didn’t know, and she didn’t want to know.

“Just send me here,” Wendy said.

Rex stopped the car, and the Gavyn family was right in front of him, hidden in the mist. He should have known the deep meaning of her words that day.

However, the layers of mist seemed to have blinded his eyes.

“Wendy, how is it impossible for a lifetime?”

Wendy got out of the car and did not listen to a single word of advice that Rex had said behind her. She resolutely walked into the fog, the fog that would no longer exist for Rex.

There seemed to be a chill in her body that made her tighten the clothes. Wendy tightened her tight clothes as if autumn was coming.

She sneezed and walked into the house. Uncle John came up to her and said, “Madam, you’re back.”

“Mm, where’s the old lady?”

Wendy didn’t want to have any conflict with Cassie during this period. Before leaving, It would be best if she didn’t involve anyone.

“She has returned to the old house.”

“Is that so?” Wendy sneezed again. She rubbed her nose that was uncomfortable, thought for a moment, then turned her head and asked Uncle John. “Uncle, how long have you been in the Gavyn Family?”

Uncle John narrowed his eyes and pondered for a while. “About twenty years. I was here when the young master was born.”

Over the past 20 years, he had witnessed the ups and downs of this family.

“When did Young Master move out of the old house?”

“I can’t remember. In short, I followed when Young Master moved out. It has been at least ten years.”

So early?

That time, they must have met not long ago. Why did a person completely forget her existence?

Forget it. There was simply no point in being so insistent on this. It was better to think about how to escape from this prison cell.

“Uncle John, everything that I asked you today, no one else knows. Do you understand?” Wendy instructed.

Uncle John nodded. “I know. Don’t worry, Madam.”

“Mn.” After that, Wendy went upstairs. She felt a little dizzy and slept until nightfall.

Rex came back from the company. After taking a shower, he went downstairs to wait for Wendy to come out for dinner.

Half an hour later, the dishes on the table were a little cold, but Wendy still hadn’t come out.

There was a hint of displeasure on his face, which Uncle John naturally noticed. He immediately asked, “Shall I call Madam down for dinner?”

“No need to call her.”

In the quiet space, two voices sounded at the same time, resonating in different ways.

Rex turned back to look at Wendy, who was walking down the stairs. He then looked away and an imperceptible smile appeared on his face. He instructed Uncle John, “Go heat the dishes.”

“Yes, Young Master.”

Rex was wearing a casual suit, which was rare in the company. Compared to the solemnity of the company, it was rare for him to have such an atmosphere today. Wendy sat opposite him and watched Uncle John take down the dishes. She smiled and also got up to pick up the dishes. “Let me do it.”

Uncle John’s gaze met Rex’s and he immediately refused. “There’s no need. Madam, I’ll do it.”

Wendy looked at Rex and said, “There’s a dish that I want to make for you.”

Rex’s eyes lit up, and his interest was aroused. He then relented and said, “Let her go.”

“Yes, Madam. Please come with me.”

Wendy had prepared a plate of cherry-blossom lamb soup and thought that she had never cooked for Rex formally before.

It was the first and probably the last time.

She opened the kitchen window, and she didn’t know when it had started to rain. The raindrops were slightly cool, bringing in the cold wind. Wendy felt that her body was getting colder.Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

Coldness would make one’s mind clearer. She finally understood why Rex had become the cold-faced young master.

Perhaps the entire Jena City would become even colder because of him.

If one wanted to wear a crown, he had to bear its weight.

In addition to his strong measures, Rex must have suffered a lot to be able to sit in this position today. As for those hardships, Wendy had no chance to see them again.

She came out of the kitchen with the prepared lamb soup and slowly placed it in front of Rex. The two layers of lamb soup were crystal clear with delicate cherry blossom petals inside, which greatly increased one’s appetite.

“Pleasing me?” Rex raised an eyebrow.

Wendy replied calmly, “I don’t have anything to please you with. I just want to make something for you.”

“Oh? Is that so?” There was a hidden meaning in Rex’s words. Wendy asked suspiciously, “What do you mean?”

“I’ve found out who took the photos of you secretly.”

Wendy’s expression froze, “Who is it?”

Rex’s face grew even colder as he said word by word, “Your good sister, Jenny Walters.”

There was a sudden clap of thunder in the air, and Wendy blinked her eyes. “It’s her?”

“I won’t spare her this time.”

Wendy immediately tensed up and asked, “What are you going to do? Rex, don’t act recklessly.”

“Me? Mess around? Wendy, my woman was being bullied by others to the point where she was worse than dogs. Do you think that I would mess around? Of course, I’m going to make her suffer a fate worse than death.”

This sentence was like a bolt of lightning, splitting the solidified substance in the air.

Wendy shook her head, “Rex, this matter isn’t that serious. Is there some misunderstanding? It’s not to the extent that…”

“Wendy, think about your own identity. You are a member of the Gavyn Family and the woman of Rex. This is not something that you can decide!”

After speaking, Rex put down his knife and fork, stood up, and left.

The lamb soup that she had meticulously prepared on the table, had been completely discarded by him. No matter how she looked at it, it looked like he was mocking her. Wendy bit her lips and laughed in a self-deprecating manner.

Yes, from the beginning to the end, her identity was just a name in the contract, and her ownership was in Rex’s hands. If he wanted to use her, he would take her out. If he didn’t want to use her, he would just abandon her.

“Rex, you are always the one who has the final say. But this time, you are wrong!”

Wendy held back her tears, poured the lamb soup on the table into the trash can, and bit her lips. “Since you don’t want to eat it, just throw it away.”

Wendy went back to her room. Rex was not there. Maybe he was probably working on the study. They rarely slept together. Could such a couple be considered a couple?

They had been strange bedfellows a long time ago. Why should he keep pestering her?

She only felt sour at the corners of her eyes, but she couldn’t shed a single tear. After being with Rex, she had finally shed all the tears of her life.

Rex, I’ll just pretend that I owe you all of this!
