Chapter 414 Keep Herself Away from Adam

"I understand what you mean. Okay… Since he treats you so badly, let's kill him!" said May.

"Mother, do you have any idea how to kill a person in a way that it would look like an accident, or it

would not be easily discovered by others? I don't want to be suspected by Robert, " asked Lisa.

They went back to the cell from the toilet and started to discuss the plan. May thought for a moment

and said, "I don't know of any ways to let a person disappear from the world undetected. We have a

very perfect census registration system in this country. It's impossible to keep it a secret for a long time,

unless we can have another person who has the same face as him to replace him."

May continued, "Adam had forced you to have plastic surgery, making you look like Linda, so we can

find a way to kill Adam first, and then we can look for another man to have plastic surgery, too, to make

him look exactly the same as Adam. You can go abroad with Robert, leaving the fake Adam here to

take possession of the Huo clan's assets. Adam has treated you like that, so I must let him pay the

double price of what he has done!"

Lisa's eyes glimmered with excitement as she heard her mother's plan. It sounded pretty good. She

could be able to do unto Adam for what he had done to her, and let him have a taste of his own

medicine!

Lisa didn't stay long in May's cell. She left the prison after the discussion of the first step of their plan.

She had promised to come and visit May again later.

Lisa had heard from other people that Adam wasn't in good health ever since his birth. If she had

someone kill Adam and find a person to have a plastic surgery to become the fake Adam, she could go

travel abroad with Robert. She would give a certain amount of money to the fake Adam and ask him to

manage the Huo clan's assets.

In this way, all of the Huo clan's property would be actually under Lisa's control.

This scheme was what Adam deserved. But Lisa loved Robert, so she decided that she would return

some properties of the Huo clan to Robert one way or another. However, Robert would lose his

younger brother forever. Lisa felt a little guilty about it, but she had to do that. She wouldn't let Adam

stand in her way of pursuing her own happiness. She had no other choice. It was the only way for her

to live happily with Robert.

Love might cause a person to behave crazily. Lisa had once been crazy for Charles Mu, but now, she

was fascinated by Robert and had lost her reason.

After Lisa left the jail, she went back home. She hadn't figured out how she should lie to Adam. She

thought she'd better keep herself away from Adam at the moment.

Robert was staying in the hospital, looking after Adam. Even though Adam was actually pretending to

be sick, he still had to stay in the hospital for a couple of days. Lisa didn't need to worry about Adam

coming back home any time soon. More importantly, she had to find a way to make Robert leave

Adam's side when she carried out her plan.

Lisa meditated for a moment. Didn't they plan to go to Maldives earlier? They gave up their trip earlier

today because of Adam's threat to her in the airport. Lisa was determined to persuade Robert again to

go travel in Maldives. She could stay at least a week there, so she could have a solid alibi. No one

would suspect her.

With that on her mind, Lisa sent a message to Robert. It wrote, "Robert, how's your brother doing? If

it's convenient for you, please leave the ward and call me back."

Lisa dared not to call Robert, afraid that Adam was by Robert's side right now. In order not to risk

triggering Adam's suspicions, she sent a message instead. Adam couldn't read the content, and neither

could he ask Robert about it.

Robert indeed was right by Adam's side in the hospital. After the check-up on Adam, the doctor told

Robert that Adam fainted because of anemia. It was nothing serious.

But the doctor had also drawn Adam's blood to conduct a thorough test, to see if there was any other

problem. The doctor suggested that Adam should stay in the hospital for a few days. Robert felt very

worried because he was well aware of his brother's vulnerable condition. He agreed with the doctor. If

anything bad would happen to Adam, the doctor could take care of his brother immediately.

Suddenly, his phone alerted him. Robert took out his phone and saw that it was Lisa's message. 'Has

she come back from the wedding ceremony already?' thought he. Robert was eager to know how

everything was going with Linda. He looked at Adam, who had his eyes closed. Robert assumed that

Adam was asleep, so he'd better not make a call there, so he wouldn't wake him up. Then, he quietly

opened the door and walked out of the ward.

Outside the ward, Robert called Lisa back.

"Linda? How are you doing now?" asked Robert.

Lisa heard Robert's voice come from the other side of the line. His voice was always so gentle and

comforting for Lisa. She felt warm as she heard him talking.

"I am pretty well. Are you in Adam's ward now? Can you step outside for a moment?" Lisa asked

anxiously. She was afraid that Robert was calling her in Adam's ward. If Adam heard his phone call, he

might be suspicious. Deep in Lisa's heart, she still felt so terrified of Adam.

That man was such a horrible demon.

Apart from her feeling of fear toward him, Lisa had an even stronger desire to kill Adam. It was the only

way to chase away all of her fear.

"No, I am not in the ward. Adam is sleeping, so I went out. What's up? Do you need to talk to Adam?"

Lisa immediately shook her head and answered, "No, no. I don't need to talk to him. I have something

to tell you. But before that, how's Adam now?"

"He's all right. Nothing serious, " said Robert.

"Okay. Then, I will go to you. Which hospital are you in?"

"What's the matter? Linda, I can feel that something is going wrong." Robert always had a good

intuition. He sensed that something had happened to Linda, but she was keeping it from him. He

wondered why he always had a strange feeling toward Linda's behaviour, as if she had a lot of secrets.

"Well, nothing important. I just have an idea to discuss with you, " said Lisa.

She wanted to talk about her trip abroad with him. Lisa intended to find an excuse to talk Robert into

going out of the country with her right away.

Robert then told Lisa where he was.

"Okay, I am coming now."

After she ended the call, Lisa hurried to the hospital to meet Robert. If she could, she really wanted to

take Robert away from this place tonight. When they came back from their trip, Adam would've already

disappeared from the world.

When Lisa arrived at the hospital, Robert immediately came out to see her. He felt quite warm in his

heart as he slowly went closer to Lisa. For Robert, he saw Linda quietly standing there, waiting for him.

It was such a beautiful and loving scene.

"Robert, have you had dinner, yet?" As soon as Robert came up to her, Lisa asked worriedly.

Having heard her question, Robert then realized that he hadn't eaten anything yet, as he was taking

care of his younger brother the whole afternoon. He shook his head and said, "Not yet. I forgot to."

"I haven't had dinner, either. Let's go and eat something together, " said Lisa.

Robert became anxious as he heard her words. 'Linda hasn't eaten anything yet? I can't let her stay

hungry, ' thought Robert.

Instantly, he held Lisa's hands and took her to a restaurant nearby.

After dinner, Lisa sat next to Robert, held his hands, and said with her lips pouted, "Robert, I have been

tired these days. I don't want to stay here anymore. Can you go abroad with me for a while, to relax

ourselves?"

Robert was surprised at her words. He put on a baffled look on his face.
