Chapter 45 The Man with Diana

Chapter 45 The Man with Diana

A month ago, after taking Sally out of SKY Group, Diana went back to the hotel and locked herself in

the room for three days and nights.

She cried a lot, and for three days and nights, she went over everything that happened after she met

Judson. On the morning of the fourth day, Diana cleaned her face, put on her fine makeup, and put on

new clothes.

“Judson, I wouldn’t feel fine if you have Sophia by your side. But if who you are with is Jessica, I would

feel relieved. She is a good girl and she will make you happy. You must be happy, forget me, and live

your new life, and so do I... But I was really happy to have you as my husband...” Diana pulled back the

curtain and muttered in the direction of SKY Group.

The sunlight shone on Diana, and she looked so energetic and lively. It took her three days and nights

to bury the memory of Judson in her heart.

She was not going back to the N City. Her house and company were gone. And in SKY City, although This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.

Judson was there, SKY City was an international metropolis with a population of nearly 20 million. As

long as she had the ability and worked hard enough, she could definitely gain a firm footing in the city.

Diana was a designer, and she could have a better development in SKY City.

Diana turned on her computer and sent out her resume. She had graduated from a key university, and

she once started a company and finished many successful projects. So, soon she was invited for an

interview. Diana was so excellent that even in a big City like SKY City, there were not many talents like

her. Companies were scrambling to get her to work in their own company.

At one o’clock, Diana dressed up for an interview at a large design firm. She was wearing a black

windbreaker, a black sweater, a pair of thick black stockings and black heels, looking both beautiful and

elegant.

When Diana went to the company and waited for the elevator, she found that she didn’t have a card to

take the elevator. Just as she was about to ring up the company, a man with gold-rimmed glasses said,

“I have a card...” The man gave Diana a faint smile and swiped the card.

When the elevator door opened, Diana followed the man into the elevator.

As they got into the elevator, Diana and the man pushed the buttons on the fifth floor at the same time.

They both headed to the fifth floor. Diana felt a bit embarrassed.

“Miss, are you going to the Innovation Company for an interview?” The man said to Diana, smiling.

Diana nodded, “Yes. How about you?”

The man smiled and nodded, “Well, I’m going for an interview too...”

After a while, Diana entered the interview room, only to find that her interviewer was the man she had

met in the elevator with gold-rimmed glasses. Diana smiled, “Hello, my name is Diana...”

The man shook hands with Diana and laughed. “My name is Charles. Nice to meet you...”

After the polite greetings, they went on with the interview. Charles was the manager of the Innovation

Company. After reading Diana’s introduction, he asked several professional questions, only to find that

Diana answered with fluency.

Half an hour later, Charles smiled and held out his hand to Diana. “Ms. Shawn, welcome to our

company...”

Diana smiled and shook hands with Charles. “Thank you,” she said. “Just call me Diana...”

After Diana found a job, she found a house and moved to the new home alone. That night, Diana met

Charles downstairs when she went out to buy groceries.

Diana looked at Charles in surprise, and Charles was also shocked to see Diana here. They looked at

each other and both smiled at each other.

“You live here too?” asked they, almost in unison.

After they found they asked the same question, Diana chuckled and Charles scratched his head in

embarrassment.

“Why not dining together?” Charles invited Diana.

“Yes...” Diana nodded, smiling.

As time went by, Diana gradually got used to the work and put all her heart into her work. Even when

she got home at night, she would work late alone.

And every day when Diana worked hard, she had Charles with her. They worked at the same company,

and they lived so close to each other, so gradually they got familiar with each other.

One night, after working overtime at the office, Diana walked out onto the balcony with a cup of coffee

and looked out the window, lost in thought.

“What are you thinking of?” As Diana stared blankly, Charles’s voice came from behind her.

Diana smiled. “Nothing, just looking out the window...”

Charles also walked over to Diana with a cup of coffee and said, “Diana, you’re so pretty and you don’t

have a boyfriend. Can I chase after you?” Charles looked at Diana carefully.

Diana paused, pointed to herself, and asked, “What?”

Charles smiled and said, “I’ve never seen such a nice woman like you. I’ve fallen in love with you the

first day you joined the company, so can I chase after you?”

After a long silence, Diana sighed deeply and said, “Charles, you are an excellent man. Don’t waste

your time on me. I may never fall in love with another man in my life... I’m sorry. I’ve got somebody on

my mind...”

Charles was shocked to hear that, and then he nodded with a bitter smile, “Well, I have thought of that.

Otherwise, with your condition, how could you not have a boyfriend? Can we be good friends then? I

mean... not just colleagues...”

Diana smiled and said, “We’re friends already...”

Charles smiled and asked, “Can you tell me the story of you and that man?”

Diana felt pain in her heart, and she suddenly looked sad. She didn’t tell Charles about her story with

Judson, but turned around and walked away...
