Jake had read through the relationship between Megan and Mia perfectly. Their conflicts went all the
way back. Thus, it was hardly possible for them to call a truce overnight.
Megan was impressed by Herman’s judgment as she let out a smile. “You’ve read me like an open
book, but don’t worry. I don’t think Herman would ever come to find me again. I have sent him over to
Mia, so there will no longer be any reason for him to approach me.”
Under the dim light, Jake thought he caught a flash of cold expression in her eyes. But just when he
narrowed his eyes to observe her, her eyes turned calm and joyous once again.
