Chapter 946: Disappointment
The hospital room was left with only the Bowman family.
Benedict, gasping for breath, got out of bed and slapped Chole across the face, his roar tearing through his throat, “Chole… kneel down!”
The slap landed hard on Chole’s face.
Five clear finger marks instantly appeared. Chole covered her face, her eyes filled with anger as she looked at Benedict. “You hit me for Ranita?”
“Chole, ask yourself honestly, should I have hit you! She is your sister, how could you do such a thing!”
“You arranged for someone to disgrace her and wanted everyone in the banquet hall to witness it. Do you want her to be shamed for life? Chole, you are my daughter. How did I teach you? The most important thing in life is character, integrity, and kindness!”
“Look at what you’ve done. Ranita just turned eighteen and you forced her to leave Bowman’s Mansion, telling her never to come back! And now this… you have truly disappointed me!”
Benedict’s breathing became erratic, his face turning pale and then flushed, looking terrifying as if he might faint at any moment.
Ranita was extremely worried. “Dad, let’s talk about this later. Don’t get upset…” Before she could finish, Benedict clutched his chest and collapsed.
“Dad!”
“Dad!”
“Honey!”
Everyone rushed over in panic, but Benedict grabbed Chole’s hand and pushed her away forcefully, his voice like a broken bellows. “Do you realize your mistake?”
Chole gritted her teeth, standing a few steps away from Benedict, her eyes red but her tone still filled with anger. “I don’t admit my mistake! She wronged me first. What I did to her is nothing compared to what she did to me! Dad, why are you so biased…”
Chole’s face twisted with rage.
“Chole! Don’t say that, don’t upset your father anymore…” Alexia tried to stop Chole, but Chole didn’t understand her intentions and ran off.
“Chole!” Benedict roared, failing to catch his breath and collapsing again!
Ranita was so frightened she felt dizzy.
Fortunately, the doctor arrived quickly and performed emergency treatment on Benedict. Benedict had been recovering well recently, and with Ayaan by his side, he soon stabilized.Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.
However, the doctor warned them not to get so agitated again!
Ranita didn’t dare say anything more and even took the initiative to comfort him. “Dad, I’m fine! I will reconcile with Chole, don’t worry!”
Ranita felt deeply troubled.
No matter what, she was always the one who had to compromise in the end.
Because she was cautious, because she cared more about Bowman’s Mansion and her parents, she had to tolerate it.
“Ranita… I’m sorry… it’s my fault for not raising her properly!” Benedict sighed and shook his head. “Ranita, let her be! Don’t bring this up again. Even though you’re not my biological daughter, I raised you; you are my daughter!”
“You shouldn’t have to endure this.”
Ranita held his hand, feeling as if her heart was filled with gravel, rolling painfully within her flesh.
“Dad, rest well! Don’t talk about this anymore; we’ll discuss it later.”
Ranita didn’t dare disturb Benedict further.
Outside the hospital room, Alexia was still in a daze, seemingly unable to accept the shock of what had just happened or Chole’s misdeeds.
“Ranita…” Alexia finally managed to say something, but her next words chilled Ranita’s heart. She said, “Ranita, Chole surely didn’t mean it.”
