“Dad… do you think this is fair to me?”

As Chole finished her last sentence, Benedict fell into helpless silence. He felt guilty towards Chole, but he also genuinely loved Ranita.

“Chole…”

“Dad… don’t say any more grandiose words. I just want you and mom to favor me a bit more. Is that wrong?”

“I just hate Ranita! That will never change!” Chole admitted bluntly, “Yes, I forced her to leave when she got into college!”

Benedict looked at Chole with sorrowful eyes.

“Chole, can you listen to me?” Benedict sighed, “Ranita told me a long time ago that she wouldn’t take a penny from Bowman’s Mansion. She said she would earn everything on her own.”

“Everything in Bowman’s Mansion belongs to you and your brother.”

Benedict was urgently taken to the hospital. He had already undergone major surgery, and now being agitated had landed him back in the hospital, straight into the emergency room.

Jedidiah rushed over and after understanding the situation, his hands trembled with anger.

“You stay here. I’ll call Chole!”

The call connected quickly. Jedidiah’s voice was hoarse with anger, “Chole, get to the hospital immediately!”

Chole had stormed out, unaware that Benedict had been hospitalized. She sneered, “Jedidiah, why are you so angry? Did Ranita complain to you?”
