A Successful Career After Divorce

Chapter 323 Rich Housewives

Ranita rested at home for two days before receiving a call from Kora.

Kora invited her over for tea and to discuss charity work. With nothing else to do, Ranita agreed. However, when she arrived at Kora’s villa, she realized it was not just a simple tea party but rather a small gathering of Kurima’s wealthy ladies.

Although Ranita had attended many parties with Brendon and recognized some of the guests, they were merely acquaintances who exchanged nods without much conversation.

At first, the wealthy ladies paid little attention to her presence until Kora’s enthusiasm and Ranita’s generous donations towards charity caught their interest.

Ranita was attentive and observant. Despite only having nodding acquaintance with these women in the past, she could recall their names, families and even their preferences in conversation topics which impressed them greatly.

Bianca Saunders spoke up for Ranita saying, “Amiya is too picky! You are such a good daughter-in-law.”

“Indeed,” added Kora quickly coming to Ranita’s defense, “Ranita is beautiful yet generous; not to mention that she is also an accomplished student from Kurima Foreign Studies University!”

Bianca then mentioned that her nephew graduated from Kurima Foreign Studies University as well but he worked in the Department of Translation and Interpretation which made it sound familiar.

“How does that name sound so familiar?” thought Ranita as Bianca continued talking about him being single despite his age causing his parents’ concern.

Finally realizing who Bianca was referring to, Ranita smiled mischievously and asked, “Mrs. Saunders, is your nephew named Vincent Ramos?”

Surprised by this question, Bianca exclaimed, “How did you know?”Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.

Laughing, Ranita replied, “Vincent is quite famous among us students at Kurima Foreign Studies University; almost everyone knows him!”

Pleased by this compliment, Bianca expressed pride in Vincent’s accomplishments. “He really is an outstanding young man! But he needs someone special in his life,” she said while holding onto Ranita’s hand. “If you know any single girls around here, please introduce them to him!”

Ranita couldn’t believe her luck, “Wow, what a small world! Sure, if we have the chance.” With Bianca and Kora backing her up, the atmosphere became even better.

These wealthy ladies may not be famous in the business world but they were well-versed in investments and charity work. Some of them even personally visited remote mountain areas to help out, quite different from their appearance.

Lunch was served at Kora’s house and then they started playing cards.

Ranita wasn’t very good at it but surprisingly won due to beginner’s luck. Winning money made Ranita extremely happy and she forgot about all the other troubles.

But then an unknown call ruined her good mood.

She went to answer it in the garden corridor where a man named Robert got straight to the point, “Ms. Bowman, I’m Robert speaking on behalf of Mrs. Stuart who would like you to come over for a meeting.”

Because of Turner’s influence on her life, Ranita had bad feelings towards Robert too, “I’m sorry but I have no connection with the Stuart family anymore and don’t want any contact with them either.”

Robert hated Ranita because of his son’s situation so he spoke rudely, “Ms. Bowman, Mrs. Stuart is asking nicely now so you better be smart about this.”

Ranita sneered at him, “And what if I don’t? Are you planning on kidnapping me or something?”
