She immediately rolled her eyes when she saw Ranita, “Why did you bring Ranita along?”

“Holly, watch your words; you should address Ranita as your sister-in-law,” Brendon frowned slightly with displeasure evident in his eyes.

Holly trembled under his gaze before snorting, “I don’t want to!”

“Holly…” Brendon was about to get angry when a gentle voice interrupted him, “Brendon, what are you guys doing outside? Why don’t we go inside?”

Shannon fluttered over like a butterfly while holding onto her skirt before latching onto Brendon’s arm.

Brenden subconsciously glanced at Ranita only to find that she seemed oblivious as he pursed his lips tightly together, “Shannon, you can go ahead with Holly.”

“But… I haven’t even greeted Ranita yet,” Shannon pouted pitifully while looking hurt, “Ranita, do you want come sit down with us?”

Ranita remained silent while Shannon continued whining, “Ranita, why are you ignoring me? Did I do something wrong again? I…”

“Ranita, what’s your problem? Shannon greeted you and you were so impolite, ignoring her,” Holly immediately spoke up for Shannon, raising her chin towards Ranita.

“Shannon, don’t pay attention to her! Don’t get angry now; your health is the most important thing. Don’t let the baby-”

“Holly, you and Shannon go inside first!” Brendon interrupted with a frown, his gaze sharp on Holly.

Holly felt wronged.

“Holly, that’s enough! Let’s not disturb Brendon anymore. Let’s go inside first,” Shannon said softly and coquettishly smiled at Brendon. “Brendon, we’ll go in first.”

As they walked a little further away from Brendon and Ranita, Holly grabbed onto Shannon angrily. “Shannon! Why did you stop me? Look at how kind you are; Ranita still dares to give you attitude! I’m so sick of her!”

Shannon patted her arm gently while smoothing out the hair near her earlobe. “You’re being ridiculous too; your brother is still here. Why would you want to make him mad by acting like this?”

Holly brightened up when she heard this.

“You’re right! My brother can’t always be around Ranita forever. I’ll show her who’s boss when he leaves!” She paused before happily taking hold of Shannon’s hand again, “Shannon, just watch the show quietly and take care of my little nephew while I handle these annoying people.”

Shannon lowered their eyes with a shallow smile flickering across her face.
