Chapter 7
Chapter 7
Cynthia had been sent to the countryside since she was very young. To take proper care of her, her grandfather transferred her guardianship to himself. Since his passing a few years ago, she had been alone, and important documents like her ID Card were always with her.
On the way to City Hall, Cynthia felt dazed. Everything was happening too fast. Although she wasn’t sure how long this marriage would last, for a girl, this was undoubtedly a pivotal moment in life. She wondered if her late grandfather would scold her if he knew about this.
Cynthia glanced at Liam driving next to her. He was dressed in a tailor–made black suit with an expensive watch peeking out from under a cuff, casually resting his hand on the steering wheel while his gaze remained fixed ahead. His expression was calm, almost indifferent, as if he wasn’t heading to get a marriage license but to a business meeting.
Feeling her gaze on him, Liam glanced her way, his voice deep. “Ten more minutes. You can sull change your mind.”
The same goes for you.” Cynthia replied shyly, looking back at the road. NôvelDrama.Org exclusive content.
A rumble of deep laughter came from beside her. “I never regret my decisions, and I won’t let others regret theirs either.”

Soon, they arrived at City Hall. It was after hours, but the staff greeted them warmly and eagerly, still on standby. The process was expedited, and the marriage license was prepared swiftly.
Cynthin stared at the license, examining it back and forth, and with their good looks, those who didn’t know the truth would think they were a perfect couple, but somehow, Cynthia felt the
atmosphere between them oddly like that of familiar strangers.
Just then, she was jolted back to reality by a tap on her head.
“Let’s go,” said Liam.
Cynthia followed, nursing her head with a hand. She naturally reported her home address once they were back in the car, the thought of reclaiming her shares after the marriage making her heart sing with delight.
But a long time passed, and the car didn’t start. She looked over in confusion, only to ser Liam looking at her with a teasing smile. “Cynthia, it seems you’ve forgotten–you’re married now. Tonight is our special night.”
Cynthia felt a flicker of embarrassment, identity shifts this rapid was hard to adjust to, and she hadn’t even noticed that his tone of addressing her had changed.
“Cynthia, you haven’t forgotten what you said, have you? Liam asked
Cynthia knew what such a night entailed. Just the thought made her recall the intense activities of the previous night, from which she hadn’t fully recovered yet. Another round? She feared it might do her in. But remembering her own firm promise to fulfill her marital duties, and not wanting to renege on her vow, she could only nod ruefully. I remember,” she said.
A satisfied smile quirked at the corner of Liam’s mouth.
The car then sped off, rushing along the paved road, heading straight for Regalian Garden, a villa Liam had bought a few years back. In the pa years, no one had looked after it due to his stay abroad. It had only been swiftly cleaned on short notice after deciding to take the big step of

By the time they arrived, the villa was spotless, the cleaning crew having cleared the scene well before their arrival. It was just the two of them in the entire place.
As soon as they entered, Cynthia found herself pressed against the door, Liam’s kisses descending like a tempest. Leaning against the door, she was overwhelmed by the storm he stirred, her breathing no longer within her control.
