Jonathan and Reina returned to the car hand in hand after attending the baby’s 1–month party. Jonathan opened the door for Reina and fastened her seat belt before returning to the driver’s seat.

Reina blinked and wondered why he suddenly confessed his love to her.

Jonathan smiled awkwardly and said, “It’s okay. I can wait a bit longer if you are not ready now.”
Despite their strong relationship, Jonathan had not yet gained Omar’s approval. Being new to society, Reina’s hesitation about marriage is understandable.

He dialed Reina’s number to inquire about her return.

Jonathan realized she might be on the plane and hung up the phone helplessly.
He then captured the proposal scene in a photo and texted it to Reina, “Do you like it? I’ll wait for your return.”
He instructed his men to protect the scene.
About two hours later, Reina and her companions finally got off the plane.
Warrina was located in the western part of Clusia. It was surrounded by mountains and shrouded in fog all year round.

Instantly, Jonathan called her.

“Is there a pressing matter that brought you there?” Jonathan asked confusedly.
Reina’s earlier message had mentioned official business, not arresting a suspect.
Thinking of Reina’s identity as a police officer, Jonathan was worried.
Reina didn’t want him to worry and came up with a casual reason, “It’s a small matter. It will be solved soon.”
“If it was a small matter, would you guys have been sent over?” Jonathan questioned.
Reina was stunned.
She thought, ‘How does he know there are several of them?‘
Jonathan seemed to know Reina’s thoughts and explained directly, “You mentioned it earlier. Tell me, is there any risk in your mission?”
“Nothing to worry about. I’ll be back in a few days.” Reina asserted. She didn’t want Jonathan to be in danger because the suspect might kill several people this time.
Respecting her decision and the confidentiality of her work, Jonathan didn’t continue to ask, though unease lingered within him.
After telling her to pay attention to safety, he ended the call and promptly told his assistant to arrange a flight.
If she refused to tell him the truth, he would personally go and stay with her.
Shortly after, the assistant secured the flight ticket for eight o’clock in the evening. Meanwhile, Reina and her colleagues rushed to the Warrina police station.
