Cynthia quickly explained, “Grandma, we thought we had been eating too much these past few days and wanted to eat less at night. That’s why we had Liam make less dinner, but we couldn’t resist, so they ended up without any dish to eat.”
Understanding the situation, Jasmine’s expression softened, and she immediately reassured, “It’s okay. Actually, these leftover oils are quite nutritious; it’s not wasteful for them to eat. After saying this, she no longer paid attention to the two men at the table and took Isabella and Cynthia out for a walk.
As they walked, she said, “Both of you have babies in your bellies now, and it’s normal for your appetites to increase. If you’re worried about gaining weight, just eat less fatty meat and take a walk after meals.”
As Jasmine’s voice faded with the distance, Anthony finally snapped out of his shock and burst into laughter.
“Haha, I never imagined your status at home was like this.” Anthony laughed so hard that he had to hold his stomach with his hands, showing no signs of stopping.
Liam gave him a cold glance and sneered, “What’s so amusing? What matters most to me is that my family can get along harmoniously, something many envy. I’m happy about this, and you can never understand this feeling.”
After saying this, Liam quickly took two bites of food, got up, and headed upstairs, leaving behind, “I cooked the meal, the dishes are yours to wash.”
Upon hearing this, the smile on Anthony’s face quickly froze. Shouting at Liam’s retreating figure, he exclaimed, “Liam, are you so poor that you can’t afford a servant? Making me, your guest, wash the dishes.”
“I didn’t invite you to stay here, so you’re not really a guest.” Liam poked his head out at the top of the stairs and said sternly, “Besides, I pay my servants, why should I let you use them?” With that, Liam went to the study and slammed the door shut.

The first thing Cynthia did upon entering her room was to take out the weighing scale. But upon seeing the numbers had gone up by another two pounds, she couldn’t help but exclaim, “Oh no, how did I gain weight again?”
Liam happened to return to the bedroom from the study at that moment, thinking there might have been an accident and hurriedly made his way back. Upon seeing him, Cynthia immediately pursed her lips, tears streaming down.
“Cynthia, why are you crying?” Liam quickly hugged her, full of concern. Cynthia buried her head in Liam’s chest, tears wetting his shirt. A person who never worried about her appearance now felt anxious about her looks.
“Darling, am I very ugly now?” Cynthia sobbed intermittently.
Liam promptly held Cynthia’s face in his hands like cradling a precious treasure, shaking his head, “No, you are still so beautiful, your skin looks even smoother than before.”
Liam had known from the time Cynthia first got pregnant that many women become sensitive and fragile under the influence of hormones during pregnancy. Liam still held Cynthia’s face, then leaned down to gently kiss her lips, before patiently consoling her, “My dear, first, let me tell you, I love you not because of your appearance. No matter how you change, in my eyes, you are the most beautiful.”
