“Hold on. Did I let him go?” Jonathan’s stern voice interrupted. Mara’s body quivered at this. She quickly put on a smile, saying, “Even though his words were harsh, you’ve already slapped him twice and sealed his mouth shut. That punishment should suffice.”
From a sense of fairness, Mara believed her words made sense. She considered Jonathan’s actions. to be excessive retaliation already.
Little did she know that Jonathan had no notions of fairness in his heart at that moment. He lowered his head, gazing deeply at Reina, and softly asked, “Have you calmed down now?”
His firm gaze suggested that if she said no, he would teach that dimwitted man another lesson. Reina hurriedly nodded.

“All of my assets and a portion of Frost Group’s shares will be my dowry for marrying Reina, and I hope you can see my sincerity and agree to us being together, Mr. Murphy.”
Omar wasn’t interested in these assets, but hearing them being offered as a dowry made him pause slightly. In his mind, affluent scions like Jonathan rarely displayed genuine commitment and reliability when it came to relationships. Additionally, his impression of Jonathan was marred by Jonathan’s father, making him inherently dislike Jonathan.
However, the fact that Jonathan was willing to go to such lengths for Reina caught Omar by surprise, especially considering the astronomical sum of the assets on the table.
