“No, I can’t leave you guys behind.” Cynthia was worried.

Cynthia put down the phone and stared coldly at Mason. “Sign the papers. I will reclaim the shares today, regardless of what you do.”
Samuel was right. Mason had called the police in the company’s name. Samuel and the others would be fine if she took over the company and decided not to pursue their actions.
“You don’t about your friends anymore?” Mason asked.
Cynthia propped her hands on the table, her expression hostile. “To tell you the truth, they find your behavior intolerable as well. They would rather be detained to assist me in reclaiming the company.”
Mason’s wrinkled face was filled with remorse as he examined the will and share transfer agreement on the table. “You’d abandon your friends just for the shares? I didn’t expect you to become so cold–blooded after living in the countryside for a few years.”
Hearing that, Cynthia sneered. “You abandoned your own daughter in the countryside. What right do you have to criticize me?”
Suddenly, there was a commotion outside the office. A group of middle–aged men walked in.

“I believe Ms. Larson’s immediate priority should be to learn proper manners, not to run the company.”
“Someone who doesn’t respect her seniors will never be able to manage the
company effectively.”
Those men were shareholders who joined the company after Mason’s takeover.
Mason was secretly delighted as he listened to their remarks, but he kept a sorrowful expression. “My daughter has been rebellious since she was a child, and I apologize for her disrespectful behavior. This family matter of mine has unfortunately impacted the company, for which I sincerely apologize once more.”
The other shareholders echoed their support. “Mr. Larson, what are you saying? We’ve followed you for so many years and will always stand by your side.”
Cynthia was not in a hurry to speak. Instead, she listened to their words calmly. Those men, relying on their seniority, ignored her presence from the moment they entered the room. After they
finished their polite exchanges, Cynthia finally spoke up. “If I remember correctly, we’ve never met before. How can you be so certain of my upbringing?”
One of the shareholders angrily pulled out his phone and played a video. “Look at this! You should be ashamed of yourself for acting this way toward your own father.”
The video captured the scene in the office earlier. Cynthia’s being disrespectful to Mason was clearly recorded as the audio played. Cynthia turned to the office camera after determining where the video was recorded. Suddenly, she sneered. ‘No wonder, despite my rude behavior, he maintained a friendly demeanor. The man put away his phone with a disdainful look. “Your actions have been recorded. By now, the internet should be flooded with negative comments about you. To quell public outrage, I recommend that you quickly apologize to your father and promise not to interfere with the company’s affairs.”
Cynthia looked at Mason, her eyes narrowing slightly. With a cold, mocking tone, she asked, “Does using such underhanded tactics against your own daughter make you a good father?”
The shareholders, who had been indignant a moment ago, were now at a loss for words. They had focused on Cynthia’s defiance in the video without considering whether it was acceptable to use such a method against one’s own daughter. Cynthia’s remark alerted them to that. Even if she was disobedient, her parents should not have treated her that way. Seeing the shareholders‘ uncertainty, Mason glanced nervously at the camera. He had considered using public opinion to force Cynthia to give up her shares. Their argument was being streamed live, and he was monitoring the comments.
