Chapter 166

Queena saw Vincent’s smile, which brought back memories of having things taken from her as a child. She guarded the chips in front of her as though they were precious. “These are my winnings.” Vincent shook his head and poked her forehead. “Look at you, being so stingy.” Queena ignored him and kept organizing her chips. “Wow! I just won 150 thousand dollars.” She jumped up excitedly. Next to her, Cameron smiled warmly. “It’s impressive to win that much on your first try.”

Queena’s eyes twinkled as she smiled, generously pushing half of her chips forward. “Cameron, you get half.”

“Really? I get some too?” Cameron raised his brows.

“Yeah, we won it together,” Queena replied.

“Okay. I’ll just take a bit of it, considering it a share of your good luck today. Take the rest and treat yourself to some candy.” Cameron took a small portion and put the rest back in front of Queena.

Queena insisted, “No way, you have to take half.”

“If he won’t, I will.” Vincent reached out. But before he could, Queena pulled the chips back immediately. Vincent yelled, “I’m your brother!”

Cameron patted Vincent’s shoulder and said calmly, “Come on. Why argue with a little girl? It’s not like you need the money.”

Seeing that Cameron really wouldn’t take the chips, Queena decided to keep them. Then, she looked at Cynthia curiously. “Cynthia, how much did you win?”

“I didn’t really win or lose, just

around 3,300 dollars,” Cynthia said.

Queena did some quick math in her head and smiled. “Jonathan, you’re the big loser today.”

Jonathan lounged lazily in his chair, indifferent to how much Yolanda had lost. “It wasn’t my loss anyway.”

The group in the room exchanged looks without saying anything. They then cashed out their chips. As it was getting late, they decided to go home. Jonathan said goodbye to the others. “You all go ahead; I have something to do.” After watching them leave, Jonathan went back inside the club. At the same time, a server was standing in front of Yolanda with a Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

a card machine. Yolanda looked pale, and when she saw Jonathan, she appeared to see a savior. “Jonathan, help me.”

Upon hearing that, Jonathan looked over disdainfully. “You don’t get to call me Jonathan.”

“Mr. Frost, help me,” Yolanda said, humiliated.

The server glanced at Yolanda with a strange expression, thinking, ‘She has no money, yet she still gambles. How embarrassing!‘

“This is your loss; I can’t help you,” Jonathan said, casually sitting on the couch with a lazy smile.

Yolanda panicked. “I told you I didn’t want to play, but you forced me.”

Jonathan sneered, “Did I hold a knife to your throat? If you didn’t want to play cards, who could have made you?”

Realizing the money was indeed her loss, Yolanda had nothing to say. Jonathan watched her discomfort with a satisfied smile. After a moment, he looked up at the server and asked, “Is there any way for her to pay off her debt?”

The server said, “I can’t decide that; I’ll have to ask the manager.”

“Then, you go and ask. Tell him Ms. Wilde is willing to do anything to pay off her debt.” Jonathan emphasized the word “anything” particularly.

A few minutes later, the server returned with a manager in his thirties, dressed in a suit. As soon as he saw Jonathan, he greeted him, “Mr. Frost, it’s been a long time. Since Jonathan often visited the club, Damon Reid, the manager, easily recognized him. Jonathan gestured toward Yolanda. “Ms. Wilde lost money today and is short on cash. Do you have a way for her to pay it back?”

As a high–end club in Auroran, those who are smart and open–minded could earn quite a bit of money there. Damon glanced between the two. “Of course, there are ways. Mr. Frost, what’s your relationship with this lady?” Damon, experienced in entertainment venues, knew he had to assess the situation before deciding how to proceed.

Jonathan waved dismissively and said, “You don’t need to worry about me. Ms. Wilde said she’s willing to do anything to repay the debt.”

Damon understood and nodded. “Got it. Don’t worry; I’ll handle it. He then headed toward the door, with Yolanda following him. Jonathan called over the bodyguard from earlier. “Follow her, and bring her back to the cemetery when she’s done. Yolanda followed Damon to the back room. He casually threw her an outfit that barely covered anything. “Put this on.”

Yolanda frowned and tossed the outfit to the ground. “What is this? I’m not wearing it.”

She was willing to stay and work to pay off the debt but didn’t want to sell herself. Damon looked at her with irritation. “Who do you think you are?

Either pay up or follow orders. Do you still think you’re a princess? Mr. Frost said your debt needs to be paid tonight. It’s already midnight. How do you think you’re going to pay back 150 thousand dollars in one night?”

Yolanda clung to Damon’s clothes, pleading, “I can work here from now on.”

“Do you think this is a charity? I don’t have time to babysit you. Are you going to change, or should I get someone to help you?” Damon picked up the outfit from the floor.

“I’ll change myself,” Yolanda said through gritted teeth and took the outfit.

The back room was just a place to change clothes, with no private changing areas. Yolanda had to dress in front of others she once despised, putting on the skimpy outfit that was barely more than a bikini with a few extra straps for added allure. Then, someone applied makeup to her, and she joined the group heading in one direction. Damon told her, “Try to be as alluring as possible; whether someone takes an interest in you tonight and is willing to spend money depends on it.” Yolanda’s face was covered with a fox mask, and a tail was attached to her back. It was like an audition; each person entered a small room. The room was lined with cameras on all sides. They had to showcase themselves in front of the cameras. On the other side of the cameras, if someone took a liking to them, they would be sent directly to that person’s room.

Yolanda entered the room, standing there awkwardly. Damon’s voice came through her Bluetooth earpiece, “Dance! What are you doing just standing there? Show off your best assets.” Yolanda had been dancing since she was a child, thinking it was meant to shine on stage, not like this. Damon’s voice grew louder, almost enough to burst her eardrums.
