Noticing her troubled expression, Andrew sensed her growing concern over finances. He secretly hoped she might eventually consider shutting down the studio to cut costs.

Feigning concern, he asked, “Do you need any help?”

“No. I trust someone with foresight will recognize our potential.”

Andrew was stunned by her stubbornness.

He nodded, deciding to let her handle things her own way. He was curious to see how long Madelyn could endure this.

Later that afternoon at the company, Jessie returned looking crestfallen, clearly having faced another setback.

Andrew had spoken highly of Jessie’s strong work ethic, so Madelyn figured it must have been tough for Jessie to represent a studio with no established reputation.

Jessie summoned Emma and Madelyn to her office, instructing them to prepare a design proposal for a project in Southstar to gear up for a competitive bid.

“Isn’t it finalized yet?”

Emma frowned at the mention of a bidding match.

Jessie nodded gravely.

“Celestial Group currently oversees South Star. They’re screening studios, and we aim to secure Celestial’s project. So, put extra effort into South Star’s design.”

Jessie realized that her efforts outside were failing to demonstrate the studio’s capability. So, she could now only count on Emma’s experience.

Then, Jessie instructed Madelyn, “You’ll assist Emma.”

“Sure,” Madelyn agreed.

Emma, on the other hand, was still displeased. She had previously only taken on projects that sought her out, and she now felt uncomfortable with someone thrust upon her.
