” Good afternoon,” I said through my phone as a strange number called me during the middle of the day.

” How are you?” A male voice sounded over the call which I tried capturing the voice at that moment.

” Good” my voice broke down while saying the words to the caller.

” Please who is this?” I asked politely while the caller chuckled over the phone as I just waited for a reply with no other words from me to the unknown caller.

” Hello, are you there?” The same person asked.

” Hopefully” I replied as the voice seemed to be much familiar to me.” Is this Dae?” I asked with a pause.

” You got me” I and Dae gave a short laugh.

” So, can we still meet up today for lunch ” Dae asked.

” Yes, we can” I replied with a blush.

” Can you choose a spot while I come over there?” Dae said.

” Okay, I will try” I replied to his words.

” We will see later then; I have to go now,” he said before he cut off the call without any other words. As soon as I dripped my phone on the little side cupboard close to my desk Bryan walked in wearing a frown which I didn’t care about asking why, cause it may result in me having a quick trauma. As soon as he came to sit on the bed I stood up taking up my phone to walk out of the room.

” Who were you talking to earlier?” Bryan immediately asked as I tried walking out of the room. I just turned around looking at him as my heart banged immediately.

” I don’t think you have to know,” I said to him as I just looked at him straight into his eyes with still my heart having a loud bang.

” Am your husband, so I’m meant to know equally everything about you ” Bryan stood up from the bed walking gradually to me as I adjusted back a little bit.

” I think am meant to have the secret of myself that I can’t disclose to anyone including the closest person to me” I argued with the words Bryan said which already seemed to be a debate.

After my words, Bryan just looked at me and gave me a nasty look plus a long hiss which I just ignored and walked out of him with the same hiss

” I regret this marriage of bondage,” I said as I walked down the staircase leading to the sitting room. I sat down in the sitting room my eyes glued to my phone trying to know one of the most popular restaurants to have lunch with some of my dreams.

I just sat down still looking for a fancy place to eat and soon I got one that was quite far from my place but still didn’t care. I walked up to my room where Bryan was with his laptop and his eyes glued to it, I walked past him, to get myself a towel from the bathroom, and pulled off my clothes hiding my nakedness from him so one thing wouldn’t lead to another. I quickly had my bath and dried up my wet skin plus hair. I quickly came out wore my underwear and got confused about which dress to wear so I just picked up one random dress and a slipper that gave a perfect match to the outfit. I packed my hair in a ponytail but still, it didn’t feel so good to me for a fancy lunch with someone important.

” Bryan… Bryan” I called his name he just turned and had a fast glance at me I just didn’t care.

” What is it?” He asked with his eyes stuck to his laptop.

” I need money for shopping,” I asked in a polite voice to him as he just used his eye to wash me up rudely.

” Give me reasons to give you money?” He dropped his laptop on the bed and looked at me from head to toe.

” Am your wife?” I said in response.

” Shut the fuck up ” he yelled at me which put a little fear in me and my heart sank in fear.

” Just don’t worry,” I said as I picked up my phone and walked out of him immediately.

I walked down to the car garage to get one of the drivers to take me where I wanted to be.

” Where are you going to miss Amelia?” The driver asked as he stuck the car key into its hole to start up the engine.

” Firstly the boutique then Melissathe restaurant,” I said as I started using my phone. In a few minutes, the car engine was active and the driver began to move to look for nice quality boutiques around the town. It equally took longer than I expected to reach the boutique, I just hurried up and picked a beautiful one. The color of the dress was so attractive same with the design on it. After I paid for both the dress and shoes I quickly went back to the car to look for the restaurant with the help of a ‘GPS’.

” Hello Dae, I just sent you my love location of the restaurant through your mail on your work card,” I said with a cool voice as I approached the restaurant.

The voice of Dae sounded so pale in the ears.” Please don’t be angry but I can’t make it today Maybe another time” The words made my heart break into pieces. What pained me the most was I spent a big amount of money to get a perfect look for this particular day and there he was telling me he couldn’t make it.

” Okay,” my voice broke down immediately as saw pleaded before he ended the conversation with me. This day wasn’t anything I planned.
