The Doted Lady Is So Wild

Chapter 112 Are You Done?

Kristen asked indignantly, “Don’t you think you’re annoying?”

Elvis said shamelessly, “I don’t think so.”

Kristen was speechless.

And she quickened her steps.

Elvis followed her closely. Kristen couldn’t stand it anymore. She stopped and said, “Enough, Elvis. Are you done with your joke?”

Elvis was no longer as casual as before. He said seriously, “Kristen, I’m not kidding you.”

“But you…” Before she could finish her words, Kristen saw Ethan standing not far away, so she swallowed the words that came to her lips.

Elvis noticed her abnormality and followed her gaze. He narrowed his eyes slightly, “Is he… your lover?”

Kristen glared at him.

“Shut up!”

But Elvis thought of what had happened earlier. He had even asked someone to investigate Ethan. He knew Ethan was a big shot in Nangania.

Ethan walked toward Kristen. Without saying a word, he took Kristen’s hand and was about to leave with her. Kristen frowned and said unhappily, “Ethan, what are you doing? Let me go.”

Ethan said, “Did you hook up with another man so quickly, Kristen?”

Hearing this, Kristen couldn’t help sneering. She immediately shook off his hand, “What does it have to do with you whom I hooked up with? Mr. Wharton, our relationship is over.”

Ethan’s eyes narrowed while his tone was tinged with a hint of seriousness, “It’s over? Who told you that?”

Kristen glared at him angrily, wanting to ask him about him and Scarlett. However, her pride prevented her from being the type to beg for mercy. She was never indecisive in love.

“Anyway, it’s over, and I… have a new boyfriend,” Kristen said, turning to look at Elvis. At this time, Elvis was very cooperative and put his hand directly on her shoulder.

“As you can see, we are together,” Elvis said to Ethan.

Ethan’s veins bulged and he suppressed his anger, “The son of the Green family of Tornzia, right?”

Elvis didn’t expect Ethan to know his identity, so he didn’t intend to hide it anymore. He immediately said, “Mr. Wharton, I’ve heard a lot about you.”

The two men stared into each other’s eyes.

There was an undercurrent to the very powerful vibes from the two men.

Ethan had investigated Elvis, the heir of the Green family based in Tornzia, but he could not find out the relationship between him and Kristen.

“I heard that you Greens’ business in Tornzia is pretty good. When did they start doing business in Nangania?”

Ethan said through clenched teeth and stared fixedly at Elvis’ hand on Kristen’s shoulder.

Elvis raised his eyebrows slightly and said bluntly.

“We don’t conduct business in Nangania, but if there is a chance in the future, we can give it a try.”

“I hope that day will come,” Ethan replied.

Elvis hummed and turned to look at Kristen, “Kristen, let’s go.”

Kristen looked at Ethan and took a deep breath as if mustering all her courage. Then she followed Elvis. However, Ethan was not someone who would give up so easily.

He took two steps forward and grabbed Kristen’s arm.

“You can’t leave.”

Kristen looked at him. They were standing right in front of each other but she felt like they were very far away from each other.

“Ethan, what are you doing? Have you forgotten Scarlett? You…”

Kristen paused for a second before continuing.

“She’s back and you still love her, so I’m willing to leave. I’ve given you what you wanted. Please don’t bother me again.”

“Kristen, do you mean it?” Ethan asked.

Kristen nodded stubbornly.

Ethan felt extremely disappointed.

She was so eager to push him out, but she had never given him the slightest bit of trust.

“Kristen, good, that’s great!”

Ethan couldn’t tell if he was furious or envious, or if there were other emotions mixed in.

“Kristen, one more chance. Will you go with me or with him?”

Kristen turned around and didn’t say anything, but she chose with her actions. Ethan clenched his fists until Kristen disappeared from his sight. Then, he let go of his palms feebly.Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

Kristen turned the corner and released Elvis after making sure she couldn’t see Ethan.

Elvis saw the sadness on her face at the moment and guessed most of her thoughts.

“Kristen, you’re truly a woman who speaks one thing but thinks another. You want to go with him, but you’re so stubborn. You will suffer.”

Kristen took a deep breath, “Thank you.”

Thank you for the play with me.

Elvis said quickly, “Don’t say that, Kristen. You can fool everyone, but you can’t fool yourself. You care about him, don’t you?”

Biting her lip, Kristen didn’t say a word.

Still, Elvis knew that Kristen cared about Ethan.

“Well, since you care about him, why do you have to make your relationship strained?”

Kristen looked up; her vision blurry. Finally, she said the fact that she didn’t want to face, “He loves another woman, and they have a kid…”

Elvis had never expected it to be so melodramatic.

“Kristen, don’t tell me you’ve become a mistress?”

Kristen shook her head, “Not a mistress. I’m just a substitute.”

Now it was Elvis’ turn to be angry. He had been missing her for many years and finally found her. In his heart, she had always been an important person while she was someone else’s substitute for another man.

This made Elvis feel very upset.

He took a deep breath as though he had decided. Finally, he said, “Kristen, since you have chosen to put him down, can you completely make him disappear from the bottom of your heart?”

Kristen raised her head with confusion in her eyes.

Elvis, however, said seriously, “I hope that you forget him and then put me in your heart.”

Kristen was even more confused.

“No, Elvis, what do you mean by that? Our families wanted us to marry. Besides, I don’t love you. Why do you…”

Elvis smiled. No one knew how helpless his smile was.

“It’s fine. It was a casual remark, so you don’t need to take it seriously. As for the marriage, I feel that our families are well matched. Why don’t we just accept it?” Elvis had a hint of a joking tone. He knew that only by doing so could he cover up the awkwardness between them.

Only in this way could they be friends.

Kristen shook her head without hesitation.

“I’ll talk to my families and cancel the marriage. Elvis, you deserve a better woman.” This was what Kristen think.
