In the office, Scarlett and Ethan were sitting together. From where Kristen was they seemed a little intimate.

“Ethan, what’re you doing?”

Kristen asked word by word. When she thought of what she had just heard on the phone, her heart seemed to sink in an instant.

“I know. You only keep her around because she looks like me. Now I am here, why do you care about this substitute?”

Ethan frowned and pushed her away.

Ethan coldly asked, “Who told you that she was a substitute? Miss Alene, I don’t understand why you suddenly came to me today to speak such strange words, but our relationship ended three years ago. Please do not disturb my life in the future.”

After he finished saying that, Ethan turned around and ran off to catch up with Kristen.

However, Ethan did not find Kristen in the lobby on the first floor. He took out his mobile phone and called Kristen, but she hung up directly.

But Scarlett continued, “Ethan, can’t you give me a chance to explain? I left for a reason…”

Ethan did not listen to her at all. He was only worried about Kristen and did not know where she was going.

Ethan took out his phone and called Kristen, but Scarlett snatched his phone away.

“Ethan, can you take a look at me? Let me explain?”

“I’m very sad to hear you say that, Ethan. I know I hurt you badly when I left, but I had no choice. I was pregnant before I even got married. Don’t you know that it was a huge blow to me?”

“Enough, is there any meaning in making up all this nonsense?”

Scarlett smiled self-deprecatingly. Her heart was sinking, bit by bit, like this elevator.

“I didn’t expect that I would be so cheap in your eyes.” As she spoke, Scarlett took out a document from her pocket and shoved it directly into Ethan’s hands.

“Take a look for yourself. You can have someone investigate if you don’t believe me. I await your reply.”

With that, the elevator doors opened and Scarlett left without looking back. Ethan looked at the document in his hand in confusion. He hesitated but slowly opened it.
