The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet

Chapter 1892

Chapter 1892

Georgia couldn't believe her ears and stared at Angelina in disbelief, thinking she must have heard wrong. Angelina, though she had her moments of anger, had never spoken to Georgia with such a firm tone before.

Georgia's face was a mix of disbelief and annoyance, "Angelina, do you even realize what you just said?"

Angelina retorted, "Of course, I do. I told you to leave; don't delay Alaric's treatment!"

"You..." Georgia was about to lose her temper.

But Angelina turned back, one hand cradling a child, the other pulling Georgia, "Move it, don't loiter around here!"

Georgia was reluctant and didn't really want to leave; she was practically dragged away by Angelina.Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

After Angelina and Georgia left, the place quieted down considerably. Alaric collapsed onto the bed, feeling utterly drained.

Ethan placed a glass of water on the bedside table and hurried to check on Alaric. "Alaric, what's wrong? Don't scare me, man!" Hearing this from outside the room, Lydia rushed in to check on Alaric.

After checking his pulse, Lydia said, "He's fine. The acupuncture needles were placed correctly; his condition won't worsen." "But he looks so..." Ethan, still worried, glanced at Alaric lying on the bed.

"It's his mood," Lydia explained.

Understanding the situation, Ethan told Alaric, "You wanted water, right? Here it is, come on, get up and drink."

Alaric lay there, staring at the ceiling without moving, a sight that was chilling to the bone.

Alaric, a tall and usually upbeat guy, was now a shadow of his former self, which made Ethan feel incredibly sorry for him.

Lydia instructed, "The medicine I told you to prepare, go and get it now."

"But what about him..." Ethan was hesitant to leave.

Lydia shot him a fierce look, "What, you think I'm going to kill him or something?"

Ethan was startled, quickly shaking his head. "No, of course not. I'll go get the medicine."

Before leaving, Ethan muttered under his breath, "Angelina pushed you around, and you didn't snap at her. Why be so harsh with me?"

"What are you muttering?" Lydia shot him a sharp look.

"Nothing, nothing..." Ethan quickly made his exit, not wanting to further provoke the tigress.

Ethan hurriedly left Alaric's place.

Lydia found a spot to sit down,

casually speaking to Alaric who was

lying on the bed. "You're only torturing yourself like this. You can't

ep your mind to contr

family, nor can you escape those clinging to you. What you're hoping for is nothing but a pipe dream."

Alaric's eyes moved slightly; he could hear Lydia.

He understood what she meant.

But he had already run away from home, having told his mother clearly that he would never marry Georgia asking her to give up on the idea. He wasn't living with the Falconer family anymore. What more did they expect from him?

After Lydia spoke, she didn't get any response from Alaric and thus remained silent.

After sitting quietly for a while, the doorbell suddenly rang.

Lydia, wary, looked towards the source of the sound, her heart tightening. Could it be the two troublemakers had returned for another round?

Not daring to open the door, Lydia looked anxiously at Alaric. "Someone's here, should we answer it?"

Alaric weakly shook his head; the ordeal with Angelina and Georgia had left him with a psychological shadow. He dared not let either of them in again.

Now barely hanging onto life, if Angelina or Georgia were to come again, he feared he might not survive the day.
