The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet

Chapter 1869

Chapter 1869

Alaric was in the middle of getting an earful from Hertha when, to her surprise, he began swaying back and forth with Helena on his back, declaring, "Startup successful! Daddy's daddy is called grandpa, daddy's mommy is grandma, and mommy's mommy is called granny..."

As Alaric rocked back and forth, mimicking a rocking horse, he hummed along with the tune of the nursery rhyme.

Helena clung to his shirt, her giggles ringing out lively and sweet, full of life.

Julian, after waiting on the sidelines for a bit, realized it wasn't his turn yet. His face flushed with impatience, he toddled over to Hertha, exclaiming, "Mommy, mommy, daddy is a living rocking horse, it's so much fun. I want a turn..."

His excitement made his cheeks as red as apples, pulling on Hertha's pant leg, he shook her gently as he spoke.

Hertha, led by Julian, approached Alaric. Julian pointed at Alaric, saying, "Look, mommy, daddy is really a living rocking horse!"

Hertha forced a smile, gently caressing Julian's cheek, but her gaze turned stern as she looked back at Alaric.

That darn Alaric, acting as if nothing had happened, coming over to make the kids laugh and enjoy!

But with the kids around, and seeing them so happy, she bit her tongue.

"Hertha, you're back. Dinner will be ready shortly; we'll be eating soon." Kimberly emerged from the kitchen with a dish, managed to squeeze in a quick chat with Hertha, then hurried back to her cooking.

It puzzled Hertha how her mother still let Alaric in! Not only that, but she was also keeping him around for dinner!

What trick had Alaric used to win her mother over this time?

Hertha was brimming with questions, but the kids were having a blast with Alaric.

And there he was, Alaric, without a trace of arrogance typical of a man of his stature, willingly playing the role of a rocking horse on the floor, all while maintaining his cheerfulness and openness. Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.

This was a side of Alaric Hertha hadn't expected.

Now, with the kids preoccupied with Alaric and her mother busy in the kitchen, no one paid Hertha any mind.

She decided to sit on the couch, observing the situation, waiting to see how long Alaric could keep this up.

To her surprise, Julian and Helena

took turns playing for quite some

time, and Alaric didn't show any

signs of tiredness or impatienc

cheerfully hoisting the kids onto his back, singing nursery rhymesto keep them entertained.

It was only when Kimberly announced dinner was ready, placing the food on the table, that he gently told the kids, "Alright, it's dinner time now. Let's eat, and then we can play some more, okay?"

Julian and Helena, always well-behaved, hurried to the dining table, ready to eat.

As Alaric tried to stand up, his legs gave way for a moment, nearly causing him to fall, but he managed to steady himself, slowly getting up from the floor. His gaze met Hertha's scrutinizing eyes.

Alaric chuckled, "Heh, I've been kneeling down for too long, my knees are all numb. I can barely stand up."

Hertha coolly replied, "Tired? No one asked you to come over!"

Her tone was icy.

Alaric quickly explained, "I'm not tired, I'm happy to spend time with the kids. It's just my body not keeping up."

"And I suppose it was your body not keeping up when you ended up at the police station too! How can anyone trust someone who can't control themselves?" Hertha countered sharply.
