taking a shower, John called him, "Mr. Myers, Steven had just taken Lily and Deborah to the hospital in

Caulford City today."

"They went to a hospital so far away?" Edric was confused.

"Yes. I had asked people to follow him, but all I could find out was that Steven had just met up with his

old classmate, Chris Cassady. Due to the fact that the meeting was held in private, we could not

confirm what they were doing. However, this Chris Cassady is a well-known gynecologist in Caulford

City," John answered.

"Is that so?" Edric was stunned. At that time, why was Steven finding a gynecologist expert for Deborah

and Lily?

but ask, "I heard that you went to the hospital in Caulford City yesterday. Are you sick?"

he smiled bitterly and answered, "Lily is pregnant."

"What did you say?" Edric jumped up and sat down again, only realizing that he was overreacting a

little. "How are you going to deal with this?"

"I was going to have her get rid of the child, but Lily's body can't handle such a procedure. The doctor

said that if we continued the operation on her, she may be infertile for the rest of her life," Steven

replied truthfully.

"What do you mean? Are you going to let her give birth to the baby?" Edric got anxious after hearing

this.

"I'm sorry! I don't want to do this, either. However, if I don't let her give birth to the baby, she will never

get pregnant anymore. I really can't do that to her, " Steven pleaded.

"No! This child cannot be born!" Edric refused flatly. "I've never intended to let other women give birth

to my children, be it past or present. I won't let this child be born!"

"Just think of Lily." Steven just begged, "Edric, just let her give birth to the baby. I will send her abroad

and never let her come back."

"She is a human being, not a cat or dog. Mr. Cook, are you certain that sending her abroad would be

enough to sweep everything under the rug?" Edric sneered. "If she brought the child back, how can I

face her in the future?"

"But the doctor said that Lily became like this because of the injury of the miscarriage that year..."

Edric rudely interrupted Steven. "At the end of the day, it was you who had wronged her. This has

nothing to do with me. I have given her so much money as compensation over the years. If she had a

conscience, she should have known to stop instead of continuing to pester me shamelessly. Let me tell

Seeing that Edric's aggressive attitude, Steven knew he had no choice, and he understood Edric's

back. "I still have some matters to attend to, Miss White. Please leave. I won't be seeing you off!"

Joanne left angrily with a flushed face. When she met Edric at the door, Edric felt uncomfortable upon

seeing her. "Miss White, why are you coming here so frequently? What are you trying to do?"

"This is my fiancé's villa. It's none of your business, and I can come and go as I please." Joanne was

full of anger.

"Of course, it's none of my business that you came to your fiancé's villa. However, I'm warning you that

my wife and children live in this villa. Don't try anything to them. I won't be this nice to you if you

provoke me!"

"What wife? She's just an ex-wife. Do you think I'll be afraid of you?" Joanne retorted.

"I know you are not afraid, but I'm willing to make a bet with you. Would you believe me if I said that I

would have someone strip you naked and throw you on the street tonight? Can you even imagine the

Joanne looked at Edric's gloomy face and did not dare to refute. This was San Fetillo, which was
