“How much more blood does he need?” Adia asked as she watched Mickelson hungrily drinking from a blood bag.
She was so surprised at how he recovered so quickly just by taking a sip, his skin was already coming back to normal, to its original color and one wouldn’t even believe he was looking like a corpse two minutes ago.
“As much as he can get ” Arion answered, throwing another blood bag to Mickelson who sat on the floor as he returned to his original state.
Mickelson looked up as his red eyes traveled to Adia who was standing close to Sebastian as he fixed his gaze on her.
“Why are his eyes so red?” Adia asked, whispering to Sebastian as she held his arms.
“Cause he’s still in his vampire state, he’s still recovering” Sebastian explained as Adia nodded.
Mickelson then moved his eyes to Sebastian, he suddenly sprang up from the floor as he rushed to where Sebastian and Adia stood.
“Haaa!!” Adia yelled in fear as Mickelson charged at the direction they stood,
Is he coming for his revenge? Adia asked herself as she held Sebastian so tight, wondering why he’s so calm, while an angry vampire who he tortured is coming to fight him.
To her dismay, Mickelson stopped right in front of Sebastian, kneeling before him, with his head on the floor,
“I don’t deserve your mercy sir, I deserve to die” Mickelson begged in a dry raspy voice as he pleaded for his life.
” Please have mercy sir, I beg for your forgiveness, forgive this stupid servant of yours” he begged his head buried on the floor, he dared not look Sebastian in the face.
Adia just stood dumbstruck,

She literally expected Mickelson to fight but rather he begged for his life after being tortured a d even pledged his loyalty to Sebastian who,
Exactly how much power did Sebastian hold?, Adia pondered to herself.
“Fix yourself up, you know where to find Malcolm, he’ll update you on what have been going on, you’ll resume duty tomorrow” Sebastian stated turning to leave with his hands wrapped around Adia’s, as he left along with her while Mickelson kept muttering appreciation til he was out of sight.

“I just can’t believe everything that’s been going on in my life” Adia spluttered as she sat in front of her dressing mirror while Monica helped her fix her hair, she had Just freshened up for the evening.
” And what’s that?” Monica asked parting her hair in two as she wanted to help braid Adia’s hair in pigtails.
“Everything, and I can’t just believe I’m pregnant, just like that” Adia said, placing her hands on her slightly swollen stomach, a lot has really happened.
“I must confess” Monica began combing Adia’s hair backwards as she spoke,
“You’re a very strong woman, I can’t believe that you still chose to stay after what Kate made you go through, not every lady would have survived that” Monica honestly stated, considering Adia’s condition and her vulnerable state, not every woman would have survived that, seeing you the way she was tortured by Kate.
“I just have to be strong for myself that’s all”
“Monica” Adia called,
” Hmm”
” Don’t you find it strange that there’s no change in me at all?” Adia asked looking at her body,
” What did you mean?”
” Isn’t it said that when a woman is pregnant she tends to grow bigger in size like they grow fatter and all, but look at me, you’ll have to take a very close look before you’ll know I’m pregnant, I look so small” Adia pouted rubbing her stomach.
” Everyone has their own way of growing Adia, you’re just in your fifth month, so there’s still time for you to grow bigger, do there’s absolutely nothing to worry about” Monica expressed braiding one part of Adia’s hair, she knew deep within her, that Adia would only get thinner and thinner as the pregnancy get due, till the day she finally dies, it’s so heartbreaking to know she’ll not live to see her children and it’s more heartbreaking that she has no ideas about it, she’s just being fooled by everyone around her, she’s living her life now, not knowing she has just less than four months left, that’s if she’ll ever be able to last till then, she just hoped Sebastian comes up with a situation, though there was literally nothing anyone can do.
“You think so?” Adia asked as Monica nodded, it felt so strange to her but she just decided to let it be.
“You look so pretty Adia” Monica praised finishing up her hair.
“I Know right” Adia said smiling admiring herself in the mirror.
“Monica can I ask a question?”

“Do you think Sebastian will let me go for my antenatal?” Adia asked cause no one has ever spoken about that and the only drugs she takes is the one Evans administers to her, Adia just felt it would be better if she visited the hospital herself, at least to meet other moms.
“I don’t know, I’ll say you ask him yourself” Monica responded, knowing deep within her that Sebastian was gonna say no, Adia’s pregnant for a vampire, with vampire children growing in her, so there’s actually no need for her to visit the antenatal, because their medicines does little or nothing to Adia’s body, it only does little because the babies also have a human gene in them, and the ones Evans administers to her is specially prepared for vampires, because normal drugs won’t work take too much effect on Adia, not when she’s carrying vampires in her womb, with a twilight vampire’s gene.
“Perfect then, I’ll go speak to Sebastian, I’m having my first antenatal tomorrow” Adia announced getting up on her feet.
“I look okay right?” She asked Monica, referring to the pajamas she was putting on.
“You look cute and perfect” Monica praised giving Adia a thumbs up.
“Good, come on then” Adia beckoned leaving the room with Monica as she headed for Sebastian’s room.
